Swissôtel Nankai Osaka Review

What happened during the morning of Tavela36. There is no explanation after being guided to the seat, and even if I ask another Japanese floor manager, I can't understand what I want. A man who seems to be a manager is angry at the radio with a voice heard by customers. This change is disappointing as it was a very cozy hotel a few years ago. It will be necessary to change the awareness of all staff members.

Service is very good, the environment is great, the traffic is very convenient!!!

The food was delicious but it seemed expensive. Chinese food may be the best here.

Very kind hotel with kind staff. Breakfast is great for both who like Japanese or European breakfast. Very central located with a lot shopping and restaurants right in front of the door.

You're literally a stone's drop from everything.

The station, convenience stores, department stores are just floors below you.

I was traveling with toddlers and appreciate the convenience of this hotel's location.

Dotonbori is just across the street. Will stay here again when in Osaka.

Stayed between 23rd Dec to 27th Dec and enjoyed mostly our stay---rooms were clean, location was great and breakfast was very good. However there were a few issues that pulled their score down. My grandparents were assigned to a room that had faulty bathroom drainage. Soap suds and dirty water was seeping out of the floor drains and made the floor really slippery (and yucky!). Hotel was good to move them to a better room though so kudos to Customer Relations but thumbs down to Maintenance. Lastly during our morning check out, we were charged over JPY12,000 for 4 days of car parking when we didnt even rent a car. Lady receptionist was very rudely insistent. We spent over 10 minutes debating with her and finally a male (southeast asian?) receptionist came over and helped us out.

Great service from the consierge. Assisted to get us a great counter seat in one of the local popular sushi bars (the hotel name has weight behind it).

If you ever need to catch an early train to Kansai airport, this is the hotel for you. From hotel checkout to platform 9 (Rapi:t Express), takes max 7 mins leisurely stroll.

Large size hotel room (comparative to Osaka), good facilities, great location (can't fault this) and options for food in the Namba area and hyper connectivity to the subway and airport express.

One niggly bit is the shower glass flap design. It doesn't really stop the water from splashing to the toilet floor area wet. Am very particular about details like this.

I think by position they have a monopoly in the Namba district,so if it's convenience u r after,u cannot get better..... However , expect to pay for the convenience...Don't get me wrong...It's not expensive but the service and expectation for what u pay does not match...Why ?...Cos they have a monopoly of position..They don't need to step up their game.....Unfortunately....I stayed on the executive floor...Don't be fooled by their so called free breakfast....The paid one is far far superior. They should at least acknowledge that.....

Everything is perfect !! The feeling that you are in Japan, but somewhat like you are abroad, the amount of money is still only high-grade hotel and expensive, but it is another wonderful thing of food and morning buffet! It was really delicious. The rooms are large

I booked an executive room for a luxurious feel. If you leave your luggage in the cloakroom at 12:00 and return at 15:00 for quick check-in, you will not be able to check in! When. More than 30 minutes to wait in the lobby. I forgot to deliver my luggage to the room. The morning buffet is the worst. Even in the Corona Vortex, it was crowded with customers waiting to enter the store for nearly an hour. Is Dabola breakfast limited to executive rooms? It is reckless to welcome all the guests here. The facilities in the room were difficult to use and it was the worst trip. There is an urgent need to review the operation.

The best location ever possible. It is just on top of Namba station some major shopping department stores. 2 mins walk to go to main shopping hall and 10 mins walk to Dotombori. Staying at Swissotel Nankai gives you all the best of accessibility across Osaka. The room size and style are pretty good. Hotel has all the facilities. it s quite expensive but gives all you want.

Quiet, spacey and atmospheric

Directly connected to Namba station, it is a luxury hotel. The atmosphere is calm and does not make noise in the vicinity.

Stayed for 2 nights and I would recommend. Love this hotel. Clean and well appointed. Not big but adequate. Location is on top of train and subway. Lots of food and shopping near.

Very polite staff and easy to get from and to Kansai airport by direct train. Service was excellent.

The hotel is located at the Nanhai Electric Railway Namba Station. There is a gym and swimming pool. The gym equipment is also complete. There are also many large shopping malls and department stores nearby. It is also close to Shinsaibashi and a great location!

Good service and plenty of space in our room. Our room had 2 full size beds that can be combined into one but it is not as comfortable as a king size bed. Despite this, the room is very clean and modern.

Concierge was very helpful as my wife and I fell ill on the first night of the trip and accompanied us through the night to ensure we were okay

It was the second party of the wedding ceremony, but it was a very beautiful venue.

The location is too convenient. The only downside is that I can't find the way to drive the car to the door of the lobby. I can't put down the big luggage, so I deduct the points.

I think it is one of the best hotels to visit Osaka.
It leads directly to Lafitesu and the room is in very good condition. It would have been better if it was a little higher, but the view is nice.
Namba Parks is also right next door.
You can change the type of pillows uniquely.
The swimming pool is also good sized.
However, it is not easy to use the swimming pool or spa with children because the time is not suitable for children as the swimming pool or spa is only available from 9 to 11 and 15 to 17:00.

Great location! Right above the train station and a short walk underground to all the other train lines. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely efficient and polite. There was a typhoon on one of the night, we felt safe and secure inside the room despite the raging wind and rain outside.

It's an ageing hotel located in the heart of action in Osaka, compensated only by its convenient location at the doorstep of the Shinsaibashi shopping belt & near major train stations nearby.

The address is super convenient, and the Nanhai Station is upstairs. Hotel room, but it s a little fine, but it s not bad in Osaka.

Best location to stay in Osaka, lots of good restaurants around

The hotel lobby is on the sixth floor. The Nanhai Electric Railway Namba Station is on the third floor. The airport is super convenient. It is a large department store. A thousand days ago, the bridge shopping street is nearby. The Shinsaibashi Dotonbori is just over ten minutes away. The location is very good. Invincible landscape, can be expected to super-large Fan Osaka landscape! I will definitely continue to choose this hotel next time!

Good location with all the shopping mall and shop surrounding

I stayed for the first time because I was able to stay at a discounted price at GoTo. It was surprising that foreigners stayed from check-in to breakfast, even though it was a corona sickness. As expected it is a 5-star hotel. I thought the building was an old hotel, but I was surprised that it was almost completely renovated and the interior did not feel old. Everything around the water was beautiful. Although it was an inexpensive plan, I was able to enjoy the view of Osaka by staying on the 31st floor. Pool and fitness are free even with the normal plan. I didn't use it as expected. There is a charge for the spa unless it is a dedicated plan. I regret that I should have gone to the spa for a fee.
We recommend breakfast, which you can eat at the restaurant on the 36th floor of the top floor. Eating while looking at Osaka in the morning mist satisfied the feeling of coming to a luxury hotel. Although there were some restrictions due to the corona sickness, the buffet style was still maintained. Desk and WiFi are important for business use, but neither is a problem. WiFi was very fast and comfortable.

Nankai Namba Station direct connection access is good

Good service. Friendly staff. But this time no one sent our luggages to the express train when we check out.

Rest room is spacious. Full size bathtub. Clean.
The location is very good. Stand on the Takashimaya Department store and large shopping complex. Next to the walking shopping street which connect to Dotombori and Shin sai ba shi.

Swissotel Nankai ticks all the boxes and more! The hotels had everything we expected and so many great things we didn't expect. The staff was amazing, friendly and super helpful, speaking good English. It's a beautifully designed hotel. The rooms are well designed, really appreciated the many USB plugs and the excellent espresso coffee. TV had some English channels with movies. Location is so perfect too, just a short walk from the famous Dotonbori, above the train station and a shopping mall (Takashimaya) but also there are so many shotengai to explore, shop and eat around!

The location alone is the best !!!
Not only is it accessible from Kansai Airport, but it is also good for traveling to nearby areas.

Fantastic hotel. Right above Namba Station. Some rooms have been refurbished.... The older ones are a bit dated.

It was a very clean hotel. The entrance was difficult to understand.

The hotel is at a convenient location accessible to shopping centers, at very close to the subway stations.

The receptionist named Ki is professional and friendly with good customer service .

However, the housekeeping conditions have room for improvement...... leaving leftover food and dust during the 4 days of stay.
