Don't rent from here. The people are scam artists and will take your money and then not reply to you. Really awful to be ripping people off and considering a global pandemic. These people are all going straight to hell in my opinion.
Great experience with JV Property Management. They are quick to responses and very friendly in all interactions. I would highly reccomend JV Property Management to anyone looking. I know that if I am looking for another place in the future I will be reaching out to James and his team!! Thank you for all your help James!
The landlord from jv properties is the worst, unqualified, no social skills, no education, no work ethic, just a bad person in general, worst place ive ever been was with jv properties

Awful, terrifying landlord and company. I had to file a police report today because the owner (James Engel) threatened me over the phone. I have only lived here for 3 months, my rent has been paid on time, and I am now in fear for my life. This is all because I send in portal requests to have the damaged appliances and such in my apartment repaired. The apartment was supposedly renovated before I moved in but half of the floor is the old floor (two different colors), the oven is broken (and has a huge, dangerous piece of rusted metal protruding out of it), and I have ants. They actually delete the requests I put in through the portal (I have screenshots) and pretend they never received them. I urge the city of Los Angeles to investigate this property management company. I will be retaining an attorney and moving out immediately.
James and his team are great! They made my experience very easy and smooth. Highly recommend JV Property Management!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Would give zero stars if I could. These guys are crooks. They take your application fee and run a hard check on your credit even if they have no intention of letting you sign a lease. I had a June first move in, they took my money and dinged my credit and ignored me for a week. I had to keep bothering their office secretary to eventually get a response, and it was some cookie cutter nonsense about management going in a different direction. For some context, when they ran my credit, it was a 750. So credit isn t the issue. So now I am down 50 dollars in application fees, 20 points on my credit report because of their hard inquiry, and they wasted my time and ignored me for a week so I was unable to get another apartment with the time they left me. These guys are rude, unprofessional criminals.

I asked to speak to a manager. She asked me why I needed to speak to a manager. Once I gave her the reason for why I would need to speak to the manager she then told me no manager was available. Once I asked her a few more times she told me there was "a" manager in but not the one that I should be speaking to and then repeatedly told me that I could not speak with him before finally "transferring" me over. This business seems like they do not care about their tenants, and if you have an issue they will fight with you. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I REPEAT...DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. BAD MANNERS, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I moved in to 1940 Preston earlier this month. Both washers and driers have been broken the entire time I have lived here. I have talked to other tenants in the building and they said that the washers have been broken for over two months. I emailed the management and never got a response. My roommate put in multiple requests. Other tenants have told me the have put in multiple requests. I emailed management and never got a response. I finally tried to take matters into my own hands by requesting a service to come out and fix the washers because I quite literally have no clean clothes left. To this, the James Engal finally emailed me back threatening to sue me and left the message with a "Be careful on who you emailing" ..... I just signed the lease at the beginning of this month. DO NOT do ANY business with them!
