Gotta love Suzzallo! If you need a quiet place to study go up to the reading room! Ultimate zen and focus up there. They also have a huge collection of materials for your research. Go Dawgs!

Best library on campus. The graduate reading room was a great place to study after it was reopened in the fall of 2002. Lots of tourists come through there however.

Suzzallo is a great quite place for reading and doing your work. The cafeteria is not bad, but they need to change the food in the university.

Attending the University of Washington, I had the privilege of studying at this beautiful building. It is one of a kind! It is quiet and everyone here really focuses on their studies. If you want some insane views while studying, check this place out!

It is close to the main entrance, and if you go backwards, you have to go deep.

Suzalo Library located at the University of Washington.
It looks like an ordinary library, but when you enter the study room, it becomes a space where the scene is quiet and a space that brings out the atmosphere that appears in Harry Potter.
There is also a Starbucks on the first floor so you can take a break while sightseeing.
Anyone can enter.

The "Harry Potter" room is really cool! But a little too quiet for my tastes. Explore the library. There are some cool study spots.

This library looks exactly like how the pictures look. It's a nice quiet place to study (with the exception of the steady foot traffic of tourists) and the environment just makes you want to pick up a book and start reading!

It s a great place to take photos, but not a good place to study. During summer quarter, many visitors came visit the QUIET study room on 2nd floor at Suzzallo and some of them won t obey the QUIET rules. It s quite disturbing and rude. Suzzallo s main function now is a tourist attraction rather than a study place .

Suzzalo is a really cool library. Definitely a great place to study or do research. Check out the reading room upstairs. Everyone calls it the Harry Potter Room

The building gives you the feeling of magic world, and we enjoys the beauty of architecture while walking inside UW.

Handy information desks in several locations and great wealth of books on specific topics I couldn't find much on elsewhere.

As a student at UW I spend a lot of time in the reading room here and it really is as nice looking as people say. The chairs can get uncomfortable after a while but the light level is well optimized for reading at all times of day.

A masterpiece library that appears at Harry Potter's Hogwarts School of Magic. Be careful not to admire your voice in places where private language is strictly prohibited.

There is a buck on the first floor and a hogwarts-style reading room on the second floor. It's a tourist destination, and the space is quite large. 6 minutes to study. Only 5 minutes to take a picture.

Great library. There were couples doing things like wedding demonstrations, but some of them were studying and they were quiet.

Except for this place as you travel the Seattle, it's a very sad place called Harry Potter Library.

Nothing like Hogwarts, but a great place to study. So stop loitering & taking pictures in the reading room already!

Suzzallo Library or Suzzallo and Allen Libraries in University of Washington is the great library look like a some location in Harry potter movies, Traveler can visit there in everyday and check the time before go

Everyone raves about the Harry Potter Room (with good reason) but a large selection of books as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff are what sell Suzallo for me. Not to mention the coffee shop on the first floor.

If you're a library nerd, come here. Suzzallo was built to be a 'church to learning,' and it shows, with its stained glass windows and iron gratings. The library has two components: Suzzallo, which has reference books, microfilm/fiche, and maps, and the adjacent library, Allen, which has science materials and a ground floor open study area. The cafe in the entrance area on the Red Square side has Essential Baking Company snacks, including awesome and flaky chocolate-almond croissants, which have saved me from hunger for many a class. The internet access in Suzzallo and Allen is great, and there is guest access for researching the library if you're not associated with the UW. Be warned that printing can be very expensive, but enjoy your visit.

I love libraries... This one has impressive staircases leading up to a gorgeous reading room worth the visit.

The library is good, but the school buildings are also pretty and good, so look around! When you go to the fountain, you can see Mount Rainier

Classical and historic buildings, walk into the Harry Potter Library.

This place is breathtaking, not only the architecture but the literature was of high caliber, Mark twain's literature was stupendous.

Sometimes I came to Suzzallo and Allen Libraries to study in place my MBA business classmates could not find me. (Very necessary just before midterms and finals.) Sometimes, I just came here because it is a beautiful building. I guess the fact my girlfriend preferred to study here might have influenced my choice of location too. The Graduate Reading Room didn t hurt too.

There are no chargers in the reading room and that is perhaps the wisest thing ever- I'm sick of people going clack clack clack on their keyboards in other places and this is one place I can truly come and escape from technology while warping myself into a time long gone.

My favorite place to study as an undergrad at UW. The beautiful architecture and views from the upper floor are awesome. The reading room takes the cake though.

Very cool library that really gives a Harry Potter like feel when you're inside. Inside the Harry Potter inspired reading room, it's no talking allowed. Thankfully the library is open to the public for all to enjoy. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area or touring the campus.

Suzallo and Allen. These are the grand libraries that you must not miss to see if you are touring the University of Washington. The architecture is beautiful, the Harry Potter room is exquisite. As a student you also have access to the Media Arcade where you can play and borrow games for free. Watch movies on big screen TV's, work on your creative needs on Adobe's media suites. The study space is quieter than the rest of the libraries, the research commons are great for team work, even the bookshelves are pretty. Overall I love going there or even just stopping and looking at the building from the red square!

Absolutely beautiful Library! Very clean and we'll maintained with lots of books and many places to study quietly. The reading room is located on the third floor and is like something out of Harry Potter with beautiful high ceilings and architecture. One of my most favorite libraries I've ever been to! A must see if you are tourist in the area checking out UW.

A terrific, quiet library with an enormous catalog, helpful staff, and beautiful architecture. I have two complaints: the setup they have for printing is inefficient, and people are always loitering in the grand reading room and taking pictures, which is very disrespectful to the people who are in there trying to study.

The building is very beautiful and classic. It opened to the public so please visit the place quietly and respect the rules.
