One word. Shiok!!!

One word. Shiok!!!
The ingredients used for making the dishes are fresh and seasonal. I would strongly encourage that you take the counter seats as you will be able to see how your meal is been prepared. Not surprising, the place is very clean and the chef and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Booking is strongly encourage especially for dinner and during weekends. Parking is ample. Highly recommended!!!

The sushi is really nice.

Next time we may try the Robatayaki.

Tl;dr Sushi set was atrociously small (think half sized, mini sushi). Wagyu don bowl excellent. If you aren't doing the extensive omakase, go here for the don bowls instead of sushi sets (kinda ironic).

Went for lunch. The only thing I would say was very very disappointing was that the $70+ sushi lunch set was in no way enough for a grown adult for lunch on its own. The pieces were unreasonably small, and will leave you still hungry.
They do have a fantastic foie gras wagyu don though - perfectly balanced, no one taste was particularly overpowering. Was pleasantly surprised at their wafu salad dressing with a punch of wasabi.

Had my first ever omakase lunch experience and the food there was really fresh and amazing. Special thanks to the friendly staff there, chef ANDY and my friend for celebrating my bday!! Had a really great time there & will definitely come bck again!

Amazing Sushi place with great service and even better food! Very original interior, designed with taste. Typical Japanese place with mostly fish and some fine meet. Especially sushi plates make sense, as you get great selection of 10 pieces for 50S$. We have also had rice over tuna and scallops.

Best wagyu don we have tasted, with black truffle shavings, onsen egg and very flavourful truffle oil. Enjoyed the Mizu Shingen Mochi too. Had a good chat with the chef from HK, very good customer service. Look forward to trying the premium one with uni and foie gras!

I had the course meal at night, and all were delicious. Although it was rented out due to the influence of corona, Mr. Itamae was also friendly people and I felt comfortable with a good sense of distance again. The Shingen-mochi style jelly that came out at the end was excellent and I wanted to eat more.

Had dinner course menu and everything was good! Due to the Covid19, my husband and I was the only customer there and sushi chef is nice and they gave us a space and privacy which makes us comfortable. They serve Shingenmochi-like jelly that was SUPER delicious and I want to eat more!

More 4.5.... Took the lunch omakase set at the counter.. food quality and service was good! But would have preferred a wider selection eg oysters or beef (e.g. Hacci). But since its a sushi place well! But the prawns and uni was done very well. Portions a little small though.. but enjoyed the meal.. Will come again.

The omakase set was wonderful. The ingredients and cooking were spot on. The service was awesome and the chef, Andy, is very accommodating and experience. He knows his ingredients and how one should enjoy the food. I would be visiting again, really soon.

Enjoyable lunch experience. Tasty fresh sushi and beef don. I would have liked the waiters to give an explanation of the dishes, tell us about the sushi or beef as they served them...otherwise the service is friendly and prompt.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Tried both the $120 and $180 set and the primary difference would be that the $180 set has the mini premihm don. Other subtle differences would be botan ebi vs amaebi and having uni on top of the foie gras. Dessert was the most disappointing though, but overall the sushi was still delicious. Great if you need a last-minute sushiya on the weekend -- especially a Sunday -- but definitely a lot more options elsewhere at this price point as well.

I had the sashimi+nigiri sushi lunch set. The taste was great, however I have to say that the size of the sushi was shockingly small, it's like half the length and width of a sushi at a upper end sushi shop. It's the first time I've had 8 pieces of sushi and not feel full. Hope they can improve on this.
I can understand if they want to offer tasting but it's really super odd feeling. If they call it mini nigiri I could understand it, it really is mini.
Taste is good, but it's like ordering a bowl of ramen at ramen price and getting a wanton mee sized serving.

Ambience and service are great. Make reservations.
Also it's on the second floor in the nihon section of Millenia Walk.

Never disappointed when I visit this fine establishment in Millenia walk. Been here a couple of times and their consistency made me want to write this review for them. They have such great flavours in all the dishes that they serve out to you. I start drooling while watching them prepare the food over the counter and all I can think out is, GET THAT IN ME.
The staff were very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable during the whole meal. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an omakase place just so that you can imagine a trip down to Japan.

Quality sushi sashimi and the best truffles wagyu beef don. Try their omakase, where there are around 10 items of savory yummy surprises, lastly you get the best desserts to end the dinner. It is surely more value for money as compared to other omakase restaurants.

[S$260 per pax] Second time here for a Saturday night dinner, first weekday dinner visit it was packed but this time there were just 4 customers including myself. Apparently they were fully booked but all other guests cancelled at the last minute.

Still decent although I felt that the standard slipped slightly from my first vist. Ingredients were fresh and ambience was nice and cosy. However there is a lack of variety for the price paid compared to other omakases I've had. Would happily come here weekly if this set was reasonably priced at a little over a hundred instead.

Chefs are not Japanese, although they are Japanese trained. Even so they fully embodied the 'treat regulars much better!' attitude, offering guests beside us on the same menu much more on the house dishes. Can't be helped, but sure made the experience for us a little uncomfortable.

Underrated. Had the chirashi set lunch. The environment was beautiful and service was good. I felt the chirashi is decent but not fantastic. Also the portions were not generous. Still felt hungry after.

Decadent dining.

I prefer simple omakases. The gold, truffle, wagyu, foie gras, uni, caviar etc. proved to be a little too much for me but it was something different and an interesting experience

I don t think I am over generous with my stars cos this gyu don (A4) that I had was simply mind blowing!
The beef was perfectly done and the rice was well seasoned too!
My friend ordered the one with foie gras and it was even more explosively yummy just that she commented the rice is a bit too oily and salty.
The seafood sashimi rice is very pretty and my other friend quietly ate all without complain so I guess it must be very yummy too!
Will definitely go back soon and also introduce my other group of friends as well!

2nd time here for dinner and the food is just as good! SGD250 for their special omakase and you get the full on best ingredients! Very good value compared to other fine dining sushi restaurants. Will be back often!

Went there for lunch to celebrate friend's birthday. Order the Aoi omakase and it was super delicious. Not only the atmosphere was good, the service and chefs were very friendly and outgoing, especially Chef Andy who attended us. Would definitely recommend and come back again!!

Decently priced Japanese fare. All sets are omakase, so you can t order ala carte sushi over here. Had the Fuji set which consists of an appetizer, 10 pcs of nigiri and a dessert which costs about $50. The nigiri is a little bit smaller than those you see in fanciful sushiyas. But i would say the quality is decent though. Rice is not too sticky and doesn t break apart too easily as well when you hold with chopsticks. Also notable mention is their gyudon (beef bowl). Amazing melty wagyu slices with onsen egg and truffle slices!
Overall, it s a pleasant dining experience.

The omakase lunch was amazing! The various nigiri sushi were freshly made and their flavours were delicate. It was a good experience to slow down and take time to savour the myriad flavours from the different types of sushi. The staff were attentive and the entire dining process was seamless.

A piece of hair in my appetizer was tolerable, however, i have just walked out of the restaurant after having to kill a cockraoch on the table just next to my sushi dish. No immediate apology from their staff, no nothing.

Not going back there again.

Food was really nice however the service failed the experience. 3 of us spent $772.
1. We were not greeted at the door.
2.Chef was blatantly throwing the food such as fish slice, flowers and not placing them nicely. It was not a pretty sight to see him "abusing" them.
3. The chef was not observant that I am left handed. He kept placing the sushi in the direction meant for right handed people although I had to swap it several times. This was so off-putting knowing that it should be basic service standard.
4. When the food was placed between 2 of my friends, the staff decides to stand at the far left corner instead of between us, to describe the dish. By this time, I was annoyed.
5. When we left, we were also not acknowledged as well.

The only saving grace was the floor manager who was really sweet and tried to do his best to display good service.

Omakase is all about the food and experience, more so the latter. Not coming back because there are much better ones. Like Miraku.

Good quality food. Acceptable prices for quality. Sushi is especially delicate and delicious. Wagyu-don with foie gras is lovely too. The restaurant is small-ish with an intimate and peaceful ambience. Enjoyed myself.

Second visit here for the gyu don and tried the Saga A5 instead of the Kagoshima A4. The price is steep but the food is well worth it, the food came out piping hot and the beef was done jus right.
It's a great place to visit for celebratory lunches

The food was amazing, we went a little late (10 mins before closing) and they were so patient no rush or anything, they took our order and cook it very fast in front of us. The restaurant has an open kitchen which looks very clean and everything was cooked in front of us.
