Beware **Dishonest when it comes to trading in you...

Beware **Dishonest when it comes to trading in your car**. They evaluated a lease with remaining months, said they would buy it at the buyout amount with no carry over in the new contract. Only to discover they refinanced about $5,000 in the new finance.
Before finalizing they said there would be no carry over, then when asked again they said 'ok, there's $1,000 carry over'. However when calculating the online price vs financed amount, we estimate roughly $5,000 in discrepancy. Will spare the remaining details.

Never buy a used vehicle from here.. I recently purchased a van and they mentioned that it comes with safety. The next day the engine light came back on and it is now sitting in their parking lot for more than a week without fix.. No one answers the calls.. The times they answer they act like they will fix everything but at the end nothing gets done..

Although I had many questions and concerns, she was very professional, giving me several options to consider, always mindful of the budget. There was never any pressure. Through the whole decision process, she made sure I found the car that would meet all my needs. She also did a great job with the price negotiation. Brought my vehicle in for a seasonal tire change over and an oil change . My car went right into the shop and was ready within the hour. They offered a shuttle drive home Incase the vehicle took longer . Cory and Jayce were extremely helpful and professional during my visit. Will definitely be returning for all my vehicles service !

Went with Surgenor as no other dealership could beat their price point, highly recommend for anyone interested in great service and unbeatable prices. Need to mention Brother Jo who was incredibly helpful throughout every step of the process, from the first time i stepped through the door to when I came in to pick up the new Kona! The service department is painfully slow. The last three times that I ve been there, it has taken them 4-5 hours for simple services. I am very disappointed and will no longer be going back. Not that they care whether or not they lose customers as once I brought my concerns to the service manager, he happily told me that they have thousands of other customers anyways.

Avoid this place!!! My girlfriend bought a 2011 used car here in the fall. They let us store the tires it came with over the winter. When I went to pick them up and put them on for summer, the tires were completely worn and were literally garbage (we never used them at all). We were told it was completely unsafe to be driving with tires that were so worn and they didn't give us any hubcaps, despite the fact there hubcaps when we test drove the car. I called and complained and they said they would give us a credit to buy new tires. Really awful people here that will cheat you!

Buying a car at this place for as like pulling teeth. Actually caught the sales manger trying to reduce the value of my trade in by $200. But that's peanuts compared to an absolute failure of a service department being ran at this place. I won't mention previous issues, but what triggered this review follows:
Got a set of rims from them and asked to put my winter tires on. Steel rims, clip weights. Drove one season, front left wheel developed rotational noise. Noticed a loose weight. Came in, described the issue, got charged $70 for "diagnostics" and was told that I probably hit some ice which is why weight came loose. Fair enough, it was time to change to summer wheels anyway. Came in yesterday to swap wheels back on. Picked up today since shop was too busy. Fair. Went to check the weights, same weight (I marked it) is loose to the point that I can move it by hand around the circumference of the rim.
The second star is for the service rep being helpful.

This was our 2nd appointment for a rattling issue coming from the back of our new 2018 Hyundai vehicle bought last September. The noise was getting worse and frankly I was very frustrated with this. To my delight the shop foreman joined us in a ride around the area and found what the issue was and fixed it before we were back to the shop. With my tire blowing on our car and baby #2 on the way we knew right away that we needed a new car ASAP. The help we immediately got from Mike Patterson, Marc Stenson and the team made making a quick decision so much easier than I expected. We crunched numbers and looked at multiple options and they were very patient with me even after 2.5 hours. I am so happy with our choice of Hyundai. Our Elantra is part of the family and I couldnt be more thankful for Surgenor Hyundai and all their help. Even when we went in to pick up our new car we were greeted at the door and treated like royalty. We will be back and so will our friends. Thank you once again!

Seriously not good. I had an appointment to get my brakes rechecked for loud squealing noises this morning; this following work done last week, and was told I would have to wait 3-4 hours to have the technician that did the original work assigned to my vehicle. I also mentioned that the brakes had a clunking issue since they were replaced last fall and all parts had been sourced through Surgenor Hyundai. This condition had been reported every service appointment since.
Last week they charged me an additional $199 plus taxes to repair this ongoing problem. I mentioned this was a repeat issue and should be taken into consideration. This complaint seemed to fall on deaf ears.
This type of service behaviour is quite unusual for Surgenor Hyundai since I have always had the very best service from them for the last five years.
Hopefully someone reads these ccomments and will get back to me for resolution.

On July 7,2020 we purchased a 2016 Honda CR-V. In the fall when we changed out the summer tires with rims to winter tires with rims we noted that the existing summer tires were not new. We were under the assumption that because of the limited wear left in the tires which already had 73,290 KMS ( car came from Toronto ) there would be new tires on the vehicle. When we picked up the vehicle the vehicle was shining as well as the tires. We signed a road hazard tire warranty which we thought were for the new tires. Under further review of the tire warranty it stipulates for used vehicles the tire warranty would be for 40,000 KMS however a clause is exclusions stipulates a void warranty if the remaining tread was less than 3/32 which means in our case the warranty was void when we picked up the vehicle.I then played telephone tag with the salesman, Roman Sidoli, who had to discuss the issue with the sales and leasing consultant, Chris Shannon. I then played telephone tag with Mr.Shannon. I eventually got frustrated and gave up. Just recently in March 2021, with 82,752 KMS on the vehicle it developed a squealing noise from the tires. The dealer checked the vehicle and advised that it was a rear seized caliber and back pads and rotors were required. Less than 10,000 KMS were on the vehicle and it required almost $1000 in back brake repairs!!!!!. When my daughter picked up the vehicle after the assessment for the squealing brakes she saw and spoke with our salesman, Mr. Sidoli, he advised that they always wanted happy customers and requested that I should contact him. So again I sent an email to him that night requesting a review of our problem. I did not hear from him for at least two weeks, or even got a response to my email, so I left a message with the receptionist for him to give me a call. He eventually phoned and advised that he would again have to discuss with Mr. Shannon. I have not heard a word, very frustrating!!!!!. I guess once this dealer makes a sale, it s on to the next sale and they forget about the purchaser to try a resolve any issues with used vehicles. Very terrible after purchase customer service!!!!.

I dealt primarily with Sameh Zaky in the purchase of my vehicle and could not ask for better service. For the second year, my winter tire change took over 3 hours (tires on rims!). On both occasions, I booked an appointment for 7.30am (having been offered 7.30, 8.00, 8.30, etc.). This year I got the car back at 11.15. I had to Uber my wife to a 10am appointment ($15) and cancel my own 11am. Who would have thought that this would have been necessary? I could have changed the tires myself in 30 minutes.

It's a pity. I bought the vehicle there and the showroom service was excellent.

My experience at surgenor Hyundai was extremely pleasent, the whole staff was great. This was my second time buying a Hyundai but at a different dealership and I had no idea the experience could be made fun, easy and stress free. Marc was my salesman and he was wonderful; making sure I got what I was looking for, made picking up my car a special experience for me and checked in to make sure I was happy with my new car. I wouldn't go to any other dealership again!

Surgenor Hyundai and Roman (sales Rep) make buying a car, learning about your options and feeling comfortable so easy. I walked in and was immediate greeted by Roman with a smile and a handshake, I mentioned i wanted to test drive the 2018 Elantra and we were off. After a great drive we got back and discussed options. Roman helped me find a great deal with amazing options and I walked out the same day with a new car. Surgenor Hyundai knows what it means to satisfy their customers and clients and I'm beyond happy with the car and the service I received. This is my 3rd vehicle from this amazing dealership with an outstanding team of people. There's no better dealer than Surgenor that will always treat you like family and will give you the best that you deserve and more!

Roman and Sam helped me narrow down my options of the 2017 Tucson. Testing between the 2.0 to 1.6T, and Premium to Ultimate, it definitely helped to get a good feel of the range and find what I really needed most. I'm happy with my Tucson Premium 2.0 FWD, easy and responsive drive, all the essential options I need, and a price that can't be beat.

Despite Covid-19 and interacting by email and phone, Tarek was very patient and helpful He was kind enough to drive out to see my old vehicle and log photos and video to help quickly sell it at dealer auction. It was mixed experience as service care guy was excellent and very friendly. His good treatment has fetched extra star.
But it was very busy and service was slower than sloth.
I had a recall on my car and I decided to wait there and it took me 5.5 hours.
They offer you free coffee and water, but no snacks or something.
I also missed my phone charger as there is none.
Thank God, I booked my appointment on my vacation, but unfortunately I spent my whole day there which I had not anticipated.

Don't waste your time. They're all about lying to you to the sale.
They had 2 of the same cars the only difference is one had 40,000 km more.
they made up a story to get me to go in. I went in 2 hours later and they told me the one with less km and the one i wanted was sold and tried to sell me the other one for $100 less. What a joke of a dealership.

Was interested in only 1 type of car. They wasted my time, trying to sell me on a better car , because the other one was sold out (yeah why would they have the better one in stock?)

After repeatedly trying to leave and tell them I m not interested, I finally got to head out, and my phone was being harassed all week with calls.

3 stars because they don t suck, I was just upset with not being able to walk out easily when they didn t have what I wanted.

I bought a Hyundai Elantra from Surgenor a little ...

I bought a Hyundai Elantra from Surgenor a little over year ago. The battery needed to be replaced when I got it and they replaced it no problem. A couple of months later, my battery died again. They determined that it was the autostart that was faulty. Replaced something called the immobilizer and replaced the battery again. Since then, I've been taking my car in for several different issues. Once I get in and their mechanics look at it, the issues always stem back to the autostart. I've visited this dealership with issues relating back to my autostart at least 4 times. This comes all to a fever pitch yesterday when I brought it in again because when they "fixed" my auto start the last time, they didn't check how long my car would run for before shutting off. At this point I am very frustrated and demanded that the whole car gets checked over and to ensure that the issues I've been having isn't solely rooted in the autostart. They had to reprogram one of my keys on my visit yesterday which caused my autostart to fail completely. I spoke with the service person who said there isn't anything they can do because it's no longer covered under warranty. However, this has been documented since day 1 of purchasing the car, this is a preexisting issue. I eventually get transferred to the service manager who explains to me that they no longer make the part because they have been historically faulty and Hyundai has decided that they no longer make the part (He first used the word recalled and then back tracked to discontinued).

I've been taking my car in regularly for over a year for a part that has been historically faulty and instead of dealing with the issue they band-aid it over and over again for a year until my car is out of warranty.

I realize that the autostart is not major component of the car. But the fact is that your service department and mechanics have wasted my time for over a year now over a part that your service manager has admitted to me tends to be faulty.

I tried to reach out to the person who sold me the car and the GM. I was reassured that someone would contact me, but I have yet to hear word so far.

This review is few years old which I was reminded of by coming across an old email. The level of professionalism and dedication we've received from individuals at this location was exceptional. I would like to especially thank Chris Shannon that went above and beyond in helping us with our lease transfer at the a time that we were under time constraint. We're coming back to Ottawa in the coming months and Chris will be the person that we will be going to for our new car.

If you feel like getting robbed of your money this is the place to do it! Roman and his sales manger Mike took advantage of two women (one being deaf, one being a new car buyer) and totally milked their way to the bank, with smiles on their faces! Being a first time car buyer I wasn't sure of all the benefits and price reductions I could have recieved until after I talked to family and friends, but Mike and Roman made sure I got none of them! They made sure to promise so many things but changed all of those promises when it was time to sign the contract. When asked to talk to the sales manager Mike about those changes he was no where to be found in the building! They made sure that you had all your insurance and everything switched over before making those changes too, so you were really stuck in a bad situation. Thanks guys! True gentlemen! You really know how to teach a girl a hard lesson. I would highly suggest not buying at this Hyundai. Go to any other Hyundai dealer but this place and I will make sure to tell all about it! My servicing will be done anywhere other than this money hungry pit stop. My advice to any car buyer, look for any other Hyundai dealer. And if you're adamant on this place then steer clear of Mike and Roman.

Today I had an appointment at 1:00 pm to have my winter tires installed. it took a long time since i guess they were busy. I had a doctor appointment at 3:00 pm. Unfortunately, by 250 , they were done, but they handed me my car keys, no charge. It made my day and manage to get to my appointment late. We had a great experience leasing a new vehicle from here. No haggling or pressure, just clear, open, honest communication from start to finish. Jake and Mike went above and beyond by bringing us our test drive to our home so I could try it out with the car seat for the full day. Jake is the Santa Fe master and taught us all the bells and whistles of our new SUV so we drove away ready to enjoy it.

We had such a positive experience buying our latest vehicle at Surgenor. We started at one dealership with a fantastic salesman, and wound up purchasing from their sister store next door. Our salesman was knowledgeable in both vehicle lines we were interested in, and made the decision so much easier when he brought both vehicles together for us to compare. Working with 2 dealerships like this was very unusual, but they made it so easy for us. It really was our best vehicle buying experience. In the end, our family got the new Palisade, and it meets each of our needs and wants. Hoping to keep this one for a long time!
