It's so nice to go in there and look at the history of surfing and all the different kinds of surfboards from Gears and years ago some of the little bit more updated ones I love going to the surfing Heritage Museum
Definitely a must for surfers and their support members and fans of the sport!
Come explore the preeminent surfing museum on the west coast, smells like sunscreen & surfwax. Eddie Would Go!
A tremendous place to visit who we are interested in the history of Surfing. You have to pay entrance. The person who attended us gave us a personalized tour, charming him. Totally recommended along with sighting the many surfers who invade the beaches of San Clemente. Greetings from another San Clemente, Maule region, Chile.
Such a great place, got a tour and learned a lot. Totally worth the small detour.
What a great history of surfing in the San Clemente to Huntington Beach area. Amazing as was Hal a walking ...talking.... historian of this museum. So many boards and their history. They have a calandar of upcoming activities that encompass so much about surfing...the greats of surfing the REAL surf boards from the eras past....take the time to see this great place....talk with Hal. You'll feel like you were there! Great!!
Had I not been required by my art professor to write a paper about an art piece I may have never known about Surfing Heritage and Culture Center. Out of the lists provided, I chose to come here based on it housing the largest Jeff Koons collection.
Absolutely the best of significant surf history in the world.
I thought their history on local surf shops was really cool.
So awesome, a must see in SoCal, incredible, don't miss it! Thanks for your hospitality!
Very roots and old school surf collection. Amazing boards on display from Duke Kahanamoku to Shaun Tomson. They have a killer Bruce Brown exhibit going on now (Mar 2018) and have new exhibit openings throughout the year. Go see Barry and the crew. Aloha
This is such a great place to visit ! So full of history , and beautifully displayed . Incredible selection of historical wave craft , surf art , and related artifacts . Most items are well documented , so very easy to understand significance of what you are viewing . The displays are always evolving , and always high quality .Our host " Hal " was very welcoming and generous with his time . He had great deal of knowledge of the vast displays , and and shared additional stories and information about surf history with us . He was obviously proud to be a part of the SHAAC team .Though I have visited at least 6 times previous , I always come away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for what the SHAAC museum contains .Be sure to check out the gift shop for a vast selection of books , T shirts , coffe mugs . great place to gift shop for your favorite surfer , or you !I strongly encourage you to seek out this museum , and allow 1 to 1 1/2 hours to truly enjoy all that they offer .
Lots of great memorabilia, surf boards from every era, great photos and goodies to buy.
Best Surfing Museum .. Amazing Surfboards..A MUST SEE..
Loved the Temples exhibit and Lonny is a stokemeister!
I love coming to this place but just for the lights at night. It's an incredible sight. The only reason I gave this place a 4 star is because it's overcrowded and there is no public parking for people coming in at night.
The history of surfing and it's evolution can all be experienced here.
Small, but what a history lesson you'll receive! Fantastic place!
The most comprehensive collection of surf craft and history available for public view. They also provide a meeting place for all surf & ocean related groups. Definitely a must see for anyone who loves the ocean.
Historically important surfboards, greatest Museum collection in the world. Will eventually move down to Doheny by the ocean and a new complex, Dana Point.
Incredible historic documentation of surfing history. Friendly staff and quite knowledgeable about surfing history.
Really pretty! Stunning and beautiful. Wish you guys all the best!
This place is great . Very nice people who work there.
