Super Smoker Review

Great BBQ!! This bbq joint just looks awesome. Red barn style restaurant with the smell of delicious smokey meats surrounding the place. The staff is friendly and fast. Everything on the menu is a win,win. However, my favorite is the Burnt ends. (Shhhh, dont tell anybody). Actually I dont think they've never not had them available when I order them. They're the best around St. Louis and I've been kinda on a Burnt end quest over the last couple years trying many of the top bbq restaurants in and around STL.

Amazing food. The owner mingles through the restaurant and makes sure all is good. It's rare to see that and very appreciative for him to check on us

They are under new ownership and the food is as good as it used to be a decade ago. Whoo-hoo!

All things considered it was good eats. Didn't have 1/4 chicken so we couldnt get what we wanted but we still got good food. BBQ sauces were tasty.

The lunch special was okay, but not as good as it was in the past.

Stale bread and almost bit into a bread tie that was stuck on the bottom of my bun, the guy preparing the food was dripping sweat, kinda turned my stomach away from eating the pulled pork I orderd. But the bread tie was the icing. Thank you I will not be returning.

We travel all over the country and eat bbq everywhere we go. Hands down best burnt ends in the p country and you would be hard pressed to match them in any category.

We moved to the area almost a year ago but just finally stopped in. This is now our "go to" for great BBQ. The ribs were excellent and so were the sides. I can't comment on the sauces because the flavor was so good that none was needed.

My first time visiting this place since the new owners took over. A little pricey but very very good food.

Food was Awesome, wasn't a fan of the green beans but everything else was excellent!!

We have been there previously and it was good but we went this holiday weekend and did not like our meals. My husband and I did not like the meat or side dishes....and the service was not good. I took the meat home, and the dog would not eat it....and she eats everything. Maybe they did not have their usual help? I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Not sure....but will probably not go back anytime soon.

Not sure pricing on the menu is best to follow. Easier to order a 1/2 or full pound of meats and take care of everything else at home. Bit pricey for sandwiches.

I loved their Veal ravioli several years ago. This week I had their pizza and found it very enjoyable.

Our family loves Super Smokers. During the pandemic we have ordered carry out many times. Everything is always fresh and delicious. We love the hash brown casserole and can't get enough of that. This last time we had brisket and pork both outstanding. We love our small town business.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I recall when this once proud BBQ empire that used to be in every grocery store around the St. Louis county area in addition to their bottled sauces that reached grocery stores across the state. Just like the fall of Rome they have retreated whence they came.

The last time I visited this restaurant will be just that, my last visit. The food was way below the normal standard that I had grown accustomed to, but worse than that both my friend and I became severely ill shortly after eating there. Say what you want about taste but any restaurant that causes level of sickness immediately after eating is just not worth it, no matter how successful it once was.

I am not sure if they have gone through a change in management or ownership but the only thing super about super smoker is how super sick you will get from eating here.

Food was great! $20 is a little steep though... For $20...the walls should be painted if they need it, the urinal should not have a garbage bag over it, the bathroom walls should be clean, & the sink should not look like a truck stop. "I'm just sayin"

Stopped in this week to try the new breakfast offerings. I had the brisket and gravy. Taste was good but was very disappointed in the portion size. It is one biscuit split with a ladle of gravy for $10. It s definitely not a meal and doesn t come with any sides. I discussed with the owner and he thought the price was justified because of the brisket, he explained it is the same price as their brisket sandwich. I disagreed, there was at most 2 ounces of brisket (maybe less) in the amount of gravy on the biscuit, not at all comparable to what you get with the sandwich and I bet the sandwich comes with a side or two as well. In the end he wanted me to be happy and brought me out another order which I did appreciate.

Service was good and the food awesome. My husband and I always make sure we go to Super Smokers whenever we are in Eureka!

My favorite BBQ restraint in the entire world. Ribs and pulled pork are the best dishes. Try the Texas hot sauce, my favorite. Also the bread pudding is surprisingly fantastic.

The staff was so friendly and the food was fantastic!

Decent barbecue when the mood hits you. The sides are also good with plenty of choices. The house made sauces also meet about anyone's preference.

Meat was not hot. Cheesy potatoes sat in a pool of grease. Beans had a different taste as did salad. Generous portions, but I did not find it that good. Believe the meat was better before the sauce. Also toilet wouldn't flush and there were meat chunks in the sink. Hot water took about 3-4 minutes to get warm for me so you have to wonder if employees really are washing with hot water.

Absolutely the best BBQ - hands down! A must go to when I'm in Missouri!

I was expecting a Diners, Drive-in, and Dives type of restaurant with really great food but a dive atmosphere. Sad to say I was very let down. First off if you are a BBQ place you need to know how to smoke a Brisket. Hint... Low & Slow! Brisket had no smoke ring, no flavor, just a grey chewy piece of meat! Husband's ribs were like rubber and they left the membrane on it. All that disappointment at such a high price. If they are award winners it must be with different food than what they sell because they should be ashamed to call it BBQ. I am from Texas and I know what good BBQ is, even "fast food" BBQ there is better than this. Don't waste your time or money!

This place has A M A Z I N G food, we have lived around the world and in Texas too, this is one of the best places I have eaten! Staff is awesome as well, even if you try and drink parts of their fountain machine!

I always have the senior ribs. They are great! Lots of other good choices too. A large variety of sides. Home made cherry/apple cobbler.

Just cleaned my plate. All I can so is Wow what a change! I dont know what happened between us eating here 3 yrs ago and not being impressed and then today. Figured we would givw it another shot and am so glad we did. This is some serious BBQ!!!

We went to Super Smokers on a recommendation. They sport several contest honors on the walls and website but having been a pit boss for years, I know my BBQ. Super Smokers is better than some but not as good as others. The brisket could have benefited from more time, not as tender as it could have been. Others at our table said the same regarding the pulled pork but I enjoyed mine. The sausages were nothing to write home about but were still tasty. My biggest disappointment were the burnt ends. There was a lot of gristle that wouldn't have been there had patience been employed during the briskets smoking, as heavily as the sauce was applied. I like my burnt ends for what they are and they came pre-dredged in so much sauce to the point of overpowering the meat. The sides were tasty as expected. The sauces were quite ordinary. My favorite was the spicy. Probably my biggest beef, the cleanliness of the establishment was sub-par. Old condiment racks at the table were laden in weeks/months of grit and grime, the bathrooms were just ok but could use a good scrub. My biggest concern were the tables and condiment holders as they presented a major cross-contamination risk with ready to eat foods. I hear there's a new owner so I'm hoping it's just a learning curve up and not a slide down. All in all, unimpressed and quite ordinary.

Gotten takeout a couple times from here now. Both times the ribs were excellent. The mac & cheese is really good, too. I'll be back!

Staff was friendly, food was OK I would come back if I had a choice between them and White Castle.

Good food enjoyed it, brisket was tasty. I thought it was weird that they sold me the piece of cornbread cold like it came out of the fridge.

Great food just like Grandma made! Felt like home . Tasty comfort food ,Good prices. Will be stopping back next trip in the Spring of 2018. Great Service.

Our first visit, but not our last! The ribs were excellent and we really enjoyed trying the 7 different BBQ sauces.

We are KCBS master certified BBQ judges and we can say this is one of the best BBQ restaurants we have been too. We have added this to one of our top 5 in the country now. The turkey is absolutely amazing, as well as the pulled pork and the brisket. The meat is amazing, the sides are good. For the most part the meat steals the show but the sides are pretty decent too.

Great variety and flavors plus super friendly staff

Place was packed, I was the only person wearing a mask. Not even the staff! It took over 20 minutes for my order, the cornbread was dry...maybe day old. The menu still had the cucumber and tomato salad, but it was nothing but canned pickles and caned tomatoes. Expensive, expect better.

Awesome beef brisket, pork, chicken, and Turkey. The applesauce was delish! But, the green beans DID NOT have bacon bits or pieces, or that country flavor I expected (after asking, and before ordering).

Great food and friendly service, highly recommended. Turkey and chicken were both very moist with great flavor.

I stop here for a bite before every long road trip. The food is amazing and it just sets the tone for the rest of the trip. I'm airways looking forward to the start, as I have an excuse to eat the best BBQ into or out of town. Make it part of your habit, you will thank me later.

The food always has tasted great. Nothing to complain about there. The only issue that I have is the price to food ratio. I order the chicken bacon ranch wrap, smoked mac and cheese, and a soda. Price was $16 and some change, for that price I could cook the same meal for the wife and myself, (and put more than a spoon full of shredded chick on each wrap). Like I said I love the taste of the food since the new owner took over and its a lot cleaner, but the quantity of food for price has gone way down.

Love Super Smokers! Super friendly staff! They make me look awesome on those nights driving home and everyone is starving and wants dinner. A quick call and I can pick up everyone s favorite on my way!

I luv the smoked chicken and smoked sausage. DELICOUS! Really only bummer is kinda far away out of the way. But definately worth the drive out there. I always get extra to take home and freeze for later.

We love to stop and eat here every time we travel through. We have nothing anywhere close to smoked food like this where we live. I highly recommend it. 5 stars!

New owners & new menu-you may want to check the website if you've not been there lately. The 26 ounce pork steak was huge, tender, and delicious. The beans and slaw were also very good. The amount of food and value can't be beat!

Average bbq at best. Not sure it deserves 3 stars probably 2.5 but I rounded up. The meat needed sauce otherwise I wouldn't have finished it. So many more places I would recommend before this place.

Great service! Great food! Got the Bo B Que and it was enough to feed 4 people! Would eat here again!
