Major problems with this school; books are too expensive, you have to buy a lot of your own supplies along with the books (even though you are paying a handful of money to enroll Into this school) Parking can be near impossible at times (even if you get there early). Also prepare for English teachers; either rude and impatient (Prof.Rosen) or bias beyond belief (Prof.Rosen); I had the opportunity to deal with both. As a matter of fact the bias teacher made me appreciate the rude teacher because, atleast my rude teacher graded FAIRLY and did not lower my grades dramatically because, of bias opinions (Prof. O callaghan). So thank you OCCC for helping me realize that college is nothing more than a SCAM. If you don t believe me then find out for yourself. The only reason this gets 1 Star is because, of good teachers like my science and math teachers (who were ironically males) because, They were not rude, bias, and unprofessional.

horrible . books are too expensive parking is nightmare and teachers are incompetent. esp. the instructors Go to You Tube for the truth about this crap school in the middle of nowhere. the video has many reviews and all of the comments pretty much say SO TRUE. Incompetent teachers who are just there because they are second rate.

The campus is nice place to get an education and it is fun walking around from class to class.

I didn't know how to reply so i modified my recent comment sooo what i need is more information like payment methods and application method and alot more... Im sirous about this cuz i wana apply next year after my final exam soo some info and orientation would be really helpful i have a friend there and im going to be far away from home soo i wana know how your system triet imigrates and what are the benefits cuz im going to be working to provide my self with cash and i hope you guys take it sirously cuz im willing to focus on this and put all my power to make it happen but due my country problems i wasn't able to express that or even develop some abilities in me i relly hope this comes true cuz kindy ones sead that (we aren't all equal but we all should have an opportunity). I wana try a new education system and provide ly self with experience before i face the real world and i have chosen "OCCC" TO MAKE THIS COME TRUE so plz help and thank you any oriontation would be helpful im a pretty focused on this and love you all

Overall this is a good college. this college is very military friendly.

Horrible school....teachers are second rate, in 3 semesters I had a drunk, a feminist, and an anti military teacher. Do yourself a favor and dodge this school. Staff will tell you "it's not my job" to something that is...and the VA rep Kelly is absolutely horrible, her job is to assist the veterans and she will do everything BUT that

The teachers are nice but the people in counseling have a attitude and so does anyone that isn t a teacher

My experience at SUNY Orange was terrible most of the professors there are racist and inconsiderate. I did a course in English 101there and I got good grades also on the finals I got an 85 the professor failed me and changed my grades so he couldn t get in trouble and said that Jamaicans grammar isn t good. Also in a history class I did online I missed a few classes and the professor was being inconsiderate after I gave a valid reason why I missed the classes so it affected my loans and financial aid when I called the financial aid office they were saying that I should talk to the professor when I did the professor was being inconsiderate and saying there s nothing she can do about that all she can tell them is that I didn t started class. So I asked her if she told them the reason she said no she can t do that and now the office is telling me that they are going off what the professor said, I should definitely get my money because I m still in the class. I totally wish I could not even rate this school at all they deserves zero stars!!!!!!! If you are black and Hispanic you will never make it in this school.

Please do not go to this nursing program if you are Hispanic or black it is not designed for you to pass. They will fail you over your paper or a skill. I wasted so many years of my life in this program to fail over a skill. They don't think you should make it you won't. Statistically blacks and Hispanics are the only ones that feel this program. Disgusted and disheartened

I love this school, the campus is beautiful qnd clean. The professors are nice and all the workers take their time to listen amd help you when you need help.

So far my daughter has gotten limited help with registration and financial aid. Then we find out that the classes this advisor signed her up for are not needed for her degree and no one can seem to help. We get her bill and see there are child care fees and find out all students are required to pay this child care fee regardless. Tell me why my 18 year old with no kids has to pay a child care fee? Like these classes we are paying for are not expensive enough now we have to pay for the care of kids that are not ours! Ulster seems to have been the better choice here. So regretting having her goto Orange.

I'm not complaining , but I have question about registration for spring 2017 classes. I wanted to know do I have to have the 50$ when registering for the classes cause I have to do so this week.

Just in the business of taking money, screwing up your transcript & wasting your time. Shameful

I attended SUNY orange back in 2015 for a semester then ended up landing a hectic job. I tried to re enroll in SUNY orange this past January. After jumping through many hoops, sending multiple emails, and shelling out money I finally get enrolled in classes. End of story right? NOPE. All of that then they turned around a couple days before classes start to say I have to get some type of residency certification to prove where I live and all this other BS. No refund for my time and most importantly my money. I cannot understand why it s so difficult to enroll in college as an adult.

The 2 stars are for the professors I have had over the years. I've gotten quite lucky and have had some amazing professors. My problem with this school is solely in the way they structure themselves administratively. I have had so many issues with the staff of this school. An extremely important deadline such as the book voucher one isn't even emailed to students. I wasn't even aware that there was a book voucher deadline and I have been going to this school for over 2 years. One staff member will tell me one thing, and when I go to another department they have an entirely different answer. The departments don't speak to each other either, so don't expect an admissions specialist to give you any knowledge or information about any EXTREMELY important deadlines regarding finances while you speak to them. They seriously need to implement a different structure to their student services because since I have been here they have been horrid.

Remember when reading this "all experiences are unique", mines was horrible. I jumped through a lot of hoops to finally get to schedule my classes. I wanted to attend night classes and on the last day that you can drop classes without financial obligations I received a call telling me they dropped a class. I work full time d/s they wanted me to attend an advanced class in the middle of the day, like that would work for me. But wait to attend the advanced class I would have to attend tutoring 2 hrs before. What part of "I work full time didn't they understand. Got stuck with a bill for them wasting my time. Like a said each person has a unique experience. So good luck and going off my experience I have nothing good to say

I don t mind the classes, but financial aid is terrible! I m expected to pay 3,000 out of pocket for the semester, no thanks. I called financial aid to see what was going on and they keep giving me the runaround! They either take your money or want you there for more than 3 years!

Absolutely terrible office. School was nice to attend but they honestly need to gut their entire office staff in student services, bursar, financial aid etc. Was on hold for hours, kept calling back, and then when I finally got in touch with someone, I was greeted with a rude sounding "how can I help you" after the phone rang for two minutes. I told the woman on the phone about how I had been trying to get in touch with someone and she cut me off saying "That's not what I asked" then rudely continued on with my current issue I had concerning payments. She had the worst behavior and was belittling my issues and disregarded it saying "that's just how it is" hung up on her. This school will have you pay over 100+ in additional fees like parking, activities etc. even if you're taking an online class. Terrible, absolutely terrible, will be trying to contact those in a higher position. Had to make an anon account because I don't want to be mysteriously dropped from my course and lose all my effort and money.

1.) my academic advisor makes it very clear that he is avoiding having any sort of meeting with me to discuss any type of questions to further my education. I have been here for a year and a half now and still have no clue as to what I need or what is even required of me besides a concepts of physical wellness class. When I bring up I want to change my major I was directed to someone else when all I wanted was the form to actually change my major. When I did meet with my advisor last year to make my schedule for this semester every time I had a question he rolled his eyes and gave me an attitude so I blindly picked my classes by myself with no help.
2.) one of my professors refuses to show me my grade, made it clear not everyone deserves to be in college, makes it clear homework can only hurt your grade but cannot help it, gives little to no instruction but gets upset and claims the class is disrespecting him when we mess up, I was taking our midterm this week and a student walked in 15 minutes late smelling of HEAVY weed and he did absolutely nothing, it was very distracting and annoying,
3.) I have learned absolutely nothing in the last 1.5 years. I m Trying to navigate through the transfer process by myself because I know i won t get any help from staff. This school is an absolute joke
