I been coming to downstate for years, ER department/fast track always bad experience long wait but Saturday 2/16/19 was super fast,stuff was great the Dr was amazing. Dr Schwartz Joel Thank you so much .
No place to park. Ticket maids are often visiting the area. We have local NYPD, the state police and SUNY police to ticket you. The building is old and decrepit, even though they try to build a new one it smells like old. Inside the buildings of this complex all the vents bring in dust mixed with air. The bathrooms are dirty most of the time. The service is borderline deficient, kind of third worldly. The doctors try their best to maintain a good service. The nurses should be taking lessons on how to treat a patient better and be more gentle to their families. The three stars are for cheap service and accountability. If you show up half alive and unconscious they'll probably fix you up. That's worth the stars.
I had my son at downstate in 2013, I had a good experience with them but today was awesome the midwives are soooo nice they made sure I knew all the tests that was being done, they made sure they explained everything to me if I had any questions. I got to hear my baby heart beat and happy everything was ok, I'm glad I choose them for my second child prenatal care!
2hrs and counting sitting in the ER waiting room to be called to register, another person has been waiting four hours, awful.
SUNY DOWNSTATE NURSING SCHOOL stay away. A waste of time and money.
The nurses here at least some of them seem to have problems at home they don't try to help patients at all i remember having a baby at another hospital I told them I'm breast feeding and using formula for three days I was there I saw 1 bottle of milk any way that's not the problem for breakfast I had two boiled eggs and some scraps of bacon my plate looked like it was somebody's leftover this is such a disgrace not ever again am I going there for any reason
This place kills and harass for body parts. My healthy sister went in to have her baby. They took her money and give her a painful death, when I asked what happened they replied "I don't know" the next time they switch up their stories but no one knows, then keep calling asking for body parts after we told them no and said I thought you change your mind. My friend told me her girlfriend almost die at this place because the treatment she received. They are so careless and heartless. You will mostly die and your love ones will get the answer " I don't know" they will cover up and do it to someone else. The doctors are not looking after you, it's the training staff you are basically a guinea pig, save you and your love ones life avoid hospital for the sake of your life.
Their was a female asian docter she is verey rude i think she hate her job i went march 4th 10:00pm she tried to tell me a lie but i already been there so i new she was lying so she dont have to help me.
If u hate people then quit.they had me waiting for 4 hours n it was only 3 people there also the nurses are rude to your guest
go to urgent care they have more respect and ull be seen once u walk in the door in 3 min. if i was dying i would never go to downstate i rather die
This hospital sucks. They don't have any empathy toward their patients. No compassion. They're there to do a job and that's all. The nurses in the ER if you call them from your bed they will ignore you and truly pretend they don't hear you. Terrible place to go if you are sick.
I do not have no complaints I had two heart attacks and ever since I went there on January 5th they treated me very well and I'm still going there
Na vier dagen vakantie, had onze zoon van 15 opeens stekende buikpijn. Dit ziekenhuis bleef goed zoeken...het bleek een vergevorderde blinde darm ontsteking. Om 11 uur kwamen we binnen, om 20.00 werd hij geopereerd!
We zijn super goed en vriendelijk geholpen, vooral door de mensen van de Pediatric Emergency Room. Een super ziekenhuis! A great Thank You to the staff and personnel of this great hospitaal for helping our son. A family from The Netherlands.
This is the worst hospital in Brooklyn. Make sure you have your attorney on speed dial
Personally I truly appreciate the professional and courteous staff members of the CCU 2nd floor. From emergency 2 the room nothing but concerned definitive care around the clock. Thank you all 4 the high standard of care. ALLAH DIVINE AKA CHARLES BROWN.
Terrible....nurses and cna nasty attitude dont know about anywhere else but had to ve on the 7th floor with my patient and the attitude so these supposed to be "professionals" is absolutely disgusting!
Extremely hard to find parking. I have no problem with the hospital. That's not their problem.. let's say you have a baby.. in my case, I'm missing my daughter's 2nd doctor's appointment because I'm in my car trying to find parking and I don't want to get a ticket.. so I gave up wasting gas trying to find parking and I'm just waiting in my car.
Bad service- but they do try to keep up with ur appointments
AVOID OB ULTRASOUND AT ALL COSTS. The European receptionist is the absolute worst at doing her job. She s rude, erroneous and can care less about patients. THE ABSOLUTE WORST TREATMENT FOR PREGNANT PEOPLE.
I love my hospital because they treated me there when I was 4 years old and had cancer.
