Needs to focus on a particular field, SUNY Cobleskill has lost its identity.

SUNY Cobleskill, located in the beautiful Schoharie Valley (Schoharie County, NY), is a general college, part of NY's State University System. While SUNY Cobleskill used to primarily focus on Agricultural and Technological Studies, they have increasingly been shifting their focus on general studies and liberal arts, which in turn has tarnished the once great reputation this school once held.

Location: Easily accessable to all New Yorkers via the NYS Thruway (I-87 & I-90), Interstate 88, NY route 23, NY route 7 and NY Route 10.

As great as SUNY COBLESKILL is, we were there with the Marathon For A Better Life which, thank God, raised just over $100,000. for Cancer Patients in our Schoharie County!! I walked in the survivors lap & the caretakers lap! Along with great food vendors, great sales booths, children's games, many raffles (congrats to Mr Bartholomew on winning the Honda Motorcycle!), & a great "Chinese Auction"!! Thanks to all the great staff & volunteers, it was a great day!!!

It is far to be the best college in USA. BUT they keep improving or at least trying. Also Cobleskill is a very small and boring town, thanks god SUNY has a good structure to help the students enjoy something there. The education is okay, as the buildings and dorms.

I transferred here after going to UAlbany for a semester and I have to say it was by far one of the best decisions of my life! UAlbany treats you as just another statistic, but here has a similar feeling to high school. I mean the aforementioned statement in the best way possible... the professors here all have experience in the field(s) they teach and are always more than willing to help you out with the curriculum. The students here are friendly and will help you out if you need it too. As for the location of the school, it's kind of refreshing to see a state university in a small town like Cobleskill. The atmosphere is calm and if you ever want something to eat, it is a 3 or 4 minute drive into town for any type of food you can think of. Overall, I obviously recommend this college and all it has to offer with its variety of degree programs.
