We were on vacation from San Antonio for a week to the area (Stanley, ID base) and spent a day in Ketchum and at the Lodge. We browsed the shopping, enjoyed the stunning landscaping, watched some people ice skating and wandered the first floor of the Lodge looking at the historical framed photographs. It was a nice break from long hikes surrounded by rugged natural beauty.

Memories; This was a very plush Ski Resort nestled by Ketchum,ID where Demi Moore and Bruce Willis lived; one passes Ketchum,ID to get to this plush SunValleySkiResort in SunValley,Idaho. It was the first time I saw pictures of 1920's Hollywood celebrities like Bing Crosby photos among the wall of this ski lodge. Very Plush. Was there for a wedding. Nice! Thanks to DanC. for his invite. Great place for weddings; just not driving all the way from start to finish; rather recommend flying into Idaho to drive rest of way into SunValley Resort..
Driving there was not easy. Next time flying into Idaho and then driving rest of the way into secluded SunValley,ID.

This is an excellent property - gorgeous decor, friendly service, great restaurants like The Ram, and a really warm heated pool. The rooms are very comfortable. There are quirks, like how the main doors to the bathroom don t close all the way so too much light gets in the room, but overall, this is a 5-star property that we would easily return to.

Sun Valley Resort was an absolute magical place. There were so many activities that one could be entertained forever if they ever populated the earth with zombies, or maybe everything was flooded except Idaho. I would recommend it to all
