Genial, top view, extra staff, very very good! we have to go
I've been there a few times for lunch , it's a lovely natural place, albeit a bit remote. Food good value. I always go there if in the area.
Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms and scenery. Unfortunately, the menu is very limited (normal for covid-19 times) but having the only starter as Guinea fowl wasn't great. Most of the food was fine but pretty bland. Scollops were huge but I would avoid the lobster, it's not prepared well.
Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, there was very little social distancing between themselves or the customers.
It's important to note that most of these complaints could be as a result of covid-19 and may not represent how the hotel operates under normal circumstances.
Very comfortable hotel. Stunning restaurant. Fine dining at sensible prices.
Shower was only warm and the flow was very slow. Food very good, staff were very pleasant and to top it all a perfect setting.
Just a really nice place to stay, the situation with views overlooking the Summer Isles, is superb. The hotel is small but in lovely grounds and close to the shore, rooms seemed to vary in quality, ours was certainly comfortable. The food, wine and service was excellent, the people were quite obviously committed and did go the extra mile, even in that our bikes were moved to safe storage without the need to ask. We would love a return visit.
A timeless place to enjoy the breathtaking nature. Very nice room. Delicate cuisine.
Overpriced. Once you get past that, it's a cozy accommodation, better than you'd expect in this wilderness. Really not worth the detour though, whether for the food or lodging
An oasis in a wonderful location away from it all. Excellent attention to detail to meet individual requirements. Well worth it - location, rooms, food and a relaxed atmosphere with glorious views.
A tranquil location with sea views, the perfect place to stop on your North Cost 500 tour
A fairly average hotel pretending to be worth 5 stars by running pretentious and expensive meals. Why is a hotel converted from a mid size house serving amuse bouches? The staff don't always seem to fully have it together, and it's left in a confusing not quite fancy but too expensive for a cheap and fun hiking holiday.
Its a long time ago when it had a Michelin its a long way from anywhere but was worth finding
Great views. Very peaceful, warm, cosy and friendly staff. The food was excellent.
What a gem! Stunning empty beach not far away for the kids. We stayed in the Boat House. The bar was buzzing of an evening. Lovely place, idyllic setting. Food was outstanding. Staff could not have been more helpful. Wish we had stayed longer. Favorite stay on our tour round the highlands.
A cosy outpost of civilisation - hotel, bar, restaurant - all looking at the Summer Isles from the strip of a hamlet, Achiltibuie. At once remote and wild yet civilised and cosseting. A far-flung destination that I hope will survive the currently-in-progress change of ownership.
Beautiful place to stay ....stunning views ...service fantastic and staff were very friendly and amazing.
Amazing service, awesome food, I got an amazing 13 hour sleep never happened at home, advise you all to try visit
Lovely hotel, great food, wonderful views. A real gem in a beautiful part of the world.
Has been through a difficult time. Trying hard to restore previous reputation.
Exceptional cottage. Calm . Fantastic view. Luxurious and pleasant staff. The largest cottage has a usable fireplace!
Stayed here 1 night. Room was lovely with great views. Restaurant was beautiful but not really for us. Staff were very OTT.
At the end of a dreadfully narrow road and in a grandiose landscape, this little hotel is there, alone by the ocean, all pretty.
Welcomed by a charming lady, we discovered our room there, which was more comfortable.
For dinner, local oysters and a seafood platter: langoustines and crabs from the village fisherman, hand-smoked trout and salmon by the same man. A real treat. A sauvignon blanc (without chauvinism) accompanied it all for the pleasure of our taste buds devoted to these crustaceans.
This is a place not to be missed.
It would be very damaging.
Outstanding good selection of food, with 1dt class service in beautiful surroundings.
A must visit if in the area!!
Great rooms, views, food, staff. Excellent. Worth the 5 star rating.
Lovely seafood platter, venison and drinks. Very fresh.
Nice meal in restaurant. Staff quite attentive. Food very good.
Good lunch and nice place to be. Very generous portions! No ales on when we visited, apparently waiting for the first delivery by a new supplier.
Very nice hotel. Luxurious. Perfect. Gourmet cuisine and personal care. By cons far from everything. Nothing to do. No activity. Complete rest.
Excellent cullen skink, although was a bit put off by the barman hinting about a tip.
Amazing views, good facilities, friendly staff, nice food. Remote location but well worth the time and effort to get there.
Jolly buzzy place
Food good
Staff cheery and welcoming
Loved this hotel ,the room was really quiet and the food was outstanding
Stopped off for soup. Both soups tried were very good. Accompanying 80s music a bit loud but brought back the memories.
Lovely hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Would stay here again.
Very good food at the bar. Fantastic views of the Summer Isles
Not a lot of choice on the menu if you don't like fish but other than that it's okay!
Fantastic location, great food and excellent service
A little slice of heaven. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Lovely stay in this Hotel
An oasis in Bleak but beautiful landscape
Room was clean, the views from the hotel where amazing, some of the staff where very helpful, its just a few little things that let this hotel down.it was a disability room we where in
No shower chair for my husband in shower when I asked for one I got it but had to clean it myself.
No view from room just the car park and no t.v in room but wouldn't have mind this if the broadband had worked better, had been in the room just after four in the afternoon and with been dark outside no pub
open was a very long night.
Breakfast was good, but found several hairs in fruit salad.
Would stay here again but not at the cost they are charging in the room we had
Dinner was amazing. Travelling with parents, siblings and spouses I was concerned when we saw the menu that it would be overpriced and too fancy for us. The flavors were amazing, the dinner was the best food we had in Scotland. The hotel rooms were a little better than other places we stayed in northern Scotland. Great place in a beautiful setting with great food!
Restaurant worth the spectacular drive. Pleasant staff and tasty food.
Quiet drink in beer garden... Furniture in poor condition. Lovely sunny weather
Super service and good food. Rooms are very well equipped and comfortable. It's off the beaten track but that's the point of going.
Lovely Hotel, great place and first class staff. The food was perfectly cooked - a fantastic visit.
Excellent, well managed hotel in a remote and beautiful place. Good food and drinks
Stopped in for a quick draught beer, partly to support local economy but none available. Had to choose a keg product. Poor.
I enjoyed my stay. Pricey and decor not as good as it should be for price point. But beautiful location, attentive service and good food.
Enchanting location on the edge of the world with a beautiful view, great food and helpful friendly staff
Wonderful experience. Staff were attentive and delightful, room perfect right down to the roll-top bath, superb cuisine including delicious options to meet special dietary requirements and such a beautiful peaceful setting. Idyllic
Superb spacious rooms with superb bathroom - downstairs. Our rooms were not suiable for elderly such as ourselves because bedroom was accessed by a very narrow spiral staircase. No way to get luggage upstairs and risky getting to the toilet during the night! Food superb but expensive, and located 50 yards away from rooms over pebbled car park. OK if it is not raining.
Nice hotel with upscale and outstanding fish cuisine. Great view of the Summer Isles. Newly renovated room with super bathroom. always my pleasure
Brilliant hotel with outstanding service. Arrived late (0130) but was still greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious.
Hotel located by the sea with spectacular views of the Summer Isles. Our room was not part of the main building and therefore perhaps even more comfortable. We had the opportunity to have dinner at the restaurant, very nice and elegant that offers a good choice of dishes always with a splendid sea view. Convenient parking, super friendly staff. Room soundproofing poor.
