Now in my second year with the Summacare Ruby plan and I couldn t be happier. Great service, wonderful people and always feel that they sincerely have my best interests at heart. When I switched to Summacare I was able to keep all my doctors and drug providers. My costs for prescriptions have gone down dramatically with the Summacare Ruby plan. This year I convinced my wife to switch to Summacare Ruby and she is as happy as can be as I am also.

This is a horrendous website--nothing is readily accessible and I have tried multiple times to find information about a specific medical coverage--but none of that is available. It also is absurd to expect people to change their password every 90 days. If you don't believe their passwords to be secure, then you should improve your own security systems!!!

Knowing what is in network or out of network is a mess. I just got $1000 bill because I used a therapist out of network. I thought I was in a facility in network but I came to learn that you have to check if each individual doctor ins in network.
It is too complex and too many choices!

I've been using SummaCare for 2 years. I've not had any issues and very satisfied. I've called with questions and have always been able to speak to someone without waiting a long time. Very friendly and informative.

Since Summa is running my doctors office, you can't hardly get through to them ,they love to put you on hold. Our latest problem involves the refusal of tests ordered by a Summa doctor My wife is in serious pain and can get no help. THANKS SUMMA! If you can't trust your doctors ,get rid of them. I'm back Thanks Summa. Rebecca I'd call but you have no one to answer your 'high volume ' call waiting' I suppose they are playing doctor ,over riding your doctors orders. I went to the doctor Friday received prescription only to have Summa alter it. Now I'm out of it part way through the healing. Drug store said Summa said I must wait for refill. You must have some great Doctors at your offices because you certainly don't trust the ones you have in your network. Summa please let us have our doctors back, you're ruining health care. I really have not had too bad of a record with summacare. Been with them since 2013. Have lately had a little problem trying to get formulary book and provider book. Called and was told they would arrive 7 to 10 days. Been couple months and still no books. The new $ 15.00 every 3 months for over the counter is a REAL JOKE. They want 5.00 for a tube of pepsodent tooth paste that I can get at dollar tree for a dollar.

Unfortunately I have had a very negative experience with the doctor's office, billing and customer service departments due to how the doctor I saw coded my visit. I had 2 office visits and some routine lab work done by my PCP but because I discussed weight management and weight loss options with him he coded my visits and lab work under a code that apparently is not covered by my insurance. I have received bills for nearly $1,000 despite me having insurance coverage. I have other family members who went to the same doctor for the same thing and they did not receive the same bills like I did. I have been dealing with this issue since March and have gotten no resolution. I have tried reaching out to the doctor's office, sent in appeals to have my bills adjusted and reached out to both the customer service and billing departments for assistance to no avail. I feel that I have been failed on every level. And am now sitting with bills nearing $1,000 for something that should have been no more than an office copay of $30. I am very disappointed in how this situation has been handled.
