At the first moment you arrive in this place they give you a nice feeling. Very warm team, it is a nice restaurant to hang out with your friends or with your date. Excellent food, professional chef de cuisine, decent price and professional service. Highly recommended.

Eggs Benedict with crab meat was excellent. The chicken in a buckwheat crepe was also very good. Friendly authentic staff and a lovely atmosphere make this place worth a visit ! Prices are a bit high but the quality is there !

french food at this spot - yummy. I wish there were more places like this around town. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. The prices are good for what you get.

Very nice, charming, French restaurant with very good food.
They specialize in mussels and crepes (not that I recommend the two together). They have both crepes for a main course as well as dessert.
Crepes are around $16. Other mains start around $22 and go up to around $32.
Main crepes are excellent. The dessert crepes are good but they are a little chintzy on the fruit.
Mussels are excellent. Go Wednesday and for $25 all you can eat mussels plus a glass of wine.
They have a decent size wine list but their wines are not great quality and their markup is pretty steep ($38 for a $10 bottle in the store). So I d pass on that. Bring your own decent bottle and pay their $20 corkage fee.

Love this place! Stopped by for Sunday brunch and got French toast, a tarte a l'oignone, and a salade fermiere. All the food was fantastic. Portions were large, the greens were fresh, and the French toast was light. The service was a bit slow, which was not out of character for a French place, but the experience overall was very enjoyable. We also saw a sign that they have all you can eat mussels and fries with a glass of wine for $25 on Wednesdays!

In a town w/many French options its hard for a place like Sucre to stand out. I recently brought a group w/me to dine here and while the food was fine the overall experience left much to be desired....let me explain. First we were seated right away at the front of the restaurant which normally I would be a lil off put by wasnt so bad since the heat was on. But there were only two waiters covering the entire restaurant which seemed odd however. It took a while for us to put in an order. The best part of my meal was the onion soup(pictured) which was very true to tradition with a garlic bread crouton and gruyere cheese. Unfortunately it was a bit heavy on the salt and the sherry for my taste and not rich enough in the beefiness. I ordered a jamon buerre fromage sandwich and the French bread was pale with not crispy crust I have come a custom to and the sandwhich overall was pretty salty...add the fries being soaked in a salt water before being fried and the whole thing is an a salt bomb on the tongue . Still good ham....good cheese. But not impressive in any way.

I went on a Wednesday (all you can eat muscle night) for probably the third time and I'm still blown away by the deliciousness and value of the meal. All their other food is also great but the service is slightly slow. I personally do not mind though. All in all, I would completely recommend Sucre Sale!

Great hidden gem. Excellent authentic French cuisine with good wine list. Loved the ambiance as well, with soulful French music. Had the endive salad which was terrific and the chicken special of the day but want to go back and try some of the other dishes.

Wonderful find while driving through Ridgefield - tasty good food with friendly service in a pleasant and safe (I.E. good mask and distancing policy) atmosphere. We had a savory crepe, a sausage sandwich, and a sweet crepe for dessert. All delicious!

A very lovely French cafe with a good amount of style and class. I had lunch here recently and tried their version of a smoked salmon crepe. It was delicious, the perfect amount of cream cheese accent.

I would call this a "family style" French restaurant. Great comfort food, lots of variety, and gluten free options, throughout the menu. The moules frites (steamed mussels with french fries) have several different broths to choose from, but sadly no GF bread to soak (Please advise them to get Mama's cheese bread as a GF option!).

They serve lots of classic "neighborhood" french fare and they do it quite well: crepes, moules, steak frites, quiches, escargots, baguette sandwiches. Nice atmosphere and decent service. Outdoor seating available. If I lived in the area I'd be a frequent customer.

Mgr refused to serve us before closing time. Than Owner never came thru on his promise of sending us a gift certificate to make up for her action. Bad news travels twice as fast as good news

This place started out as a creperie a few years ago and has grown into just an incredibly yummy cafe. The crepes are still crazy yummy but so are the mussels, the beef bourguignon, the salmon and everything else. A wonderful choice for brunch, lunch, or a yummy dinner
