Overwhelmed, but cool.

Overwhelmed, but cool.
Nice place, tastey novelty. It was difficult to decide what to get. The menu was overwhelming to look over.
My boys (6&9y) were very impressed as they watched the dishes being made. Could easily decide to take family/friends for a visit.

We came in around dinner time and there was only one other family there initially. The place was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. The three of us were able to share a large creation and couldn't finish it and was just under $8. The ice cream was very good. Only loses a star as parking can be tough at times it seems.

They were able to serve up delicious ice cream for my son who is dairy & gluten free without a problem. Excellent products for everyone regardless of diet or health restrictions. Loved our experience there.

First time to this location. I went on a Friday after lunch and there was no line. The tables were all clean and the display monitors got me exactly to where I needed to be; the Mint Chocolate Chip. Having been to a Sub Zero many times, I was a little disappointed in the flavor as well as the new-to-Sub-Zero members of my party weren't given a demonstration of the Nitrogen pooling up on the granite counter. The other franchises I have went to have given some sort of welcome; not this one.

A lot of people like subzero for the wow factor the liquid nitrogen gives, but that only lasts one visit (unless you are a kid).
I like subzero because the taste and texture is different than any other ice cream. It isn t my favorite place by any means but I enjoy going every now and then.
Great gluten-free and soy options.

This particular location was clean with a friendly staff.

The ice cream was just okay. It was a little frustrating to see every worker there wasn't wearing a mask. I understand if they don't expect that from customers but when handling food, it seems a little lazy and inconsiderate.

Have never been disappointed here. Delicious and creamy without fail, every time. I usually go for a huckleberry shake because not enough places in the area offer huckleberry anything, but also because it's the best milkshake I've ever had.

The youthful employees are enthusiastic and desire to provide customer service but it is obvious they are woefully under trained and have no on sight supervisor with experience. The nitrogen is a cool gimmick. The ice cream is not more than average.

Love sub zero. Really yummy, a little pricey but it s worth it. Clean new location, the employees were nice, but a little unprofessional, they were just on their phone while taking our order and were not happy to be there, but other than that, great place!

Had the best vegan chocolate & cookie dough ice cream I've ever had! Ok, honestly it was a first for that combo, but was soooo good and creamier than expected. Looking forward to trying more flavors.

OVERVIEW - 4.40
Came here on a whim to celebrate my wife's birthday a day early with Ice Cream. We had seen this place as of lately, I think it was opened the previous month or so.

LOCATION - 5
Mixed in with those other businesses in the Strip Mall, it isn't to hard to miss if you're looking. It also helps that there are so many surrounding businesses in this once vacant field.

PRICE - 3
For a small ice cream for myself, my wife and child, it came out to be around $15. I honestly found the price a little steep for my liking, especially considering I could buy a gallon of ice cream for around $5. I do, however, understand there is a process and with the use of nitrogen, it can be costly.

PRODUCT/SERVICE - 4
I myself am lactose intolerant, so I was concerned that'd be an issue, but I was informed their vegan style ice cream contained no milk. So that is what I went with, however, it did include coconut milk, (I'm not much of a fan of the coconut flavor). I did drown out the taste of coconut with a lemon strawberry blend in my ice cream, and I loved the tartness behind it.

POINTERS/PERKS - 5
Dragon's Breath is a lot of fun, especially if there is more than one person. I however found we didn't eat them all, and the "steam" had died out as we ate our own ice creams before they melted.

EMPLOYEES - 5
The manager served us and was incredibly friendly, and patient. The employees were professional and wore clean uniforms.

Owner and employees are AMAZING! We had this Sub Zero location cater our wedding and they made everything nice and easy for us. We got 3 different flavors and everyone was very excited to see them there. EVERYONE loved the ice cream and was amazed of how it was made. Highly recomend this location!

Tried to go here. They were closed in the middle of the day because they had run out of nitrogen. I don t want to leave a negative review as I didn t get to have much of an experienced the guy working was very apologetic about the issue. Overall what service was given was excellent! Thanks hopefully you ll be able to serve me soon.

Typically a good experience in the past.... Last weekend there was an employee that was letting her friends goof off and she would join them at the tables rather than working. She also allowed them to use the register, walk behind the counter, and back in to the kitchen and ride their scooters and skateboards in the store constantly. One family left before ordering that night. All quite unprofessional. The most upsetting is she make my ice cream (which was great) and then her friend make my wife's! I assumed he was an employee but then after we sat down, i noticed him messing around with her friends, didn't have a mask on, no sub-zero hat or shirt on and realized he didn't even work there! He left on his skateboard with half the friend group a short while later. This was infuriating and I we ended up not eating our desserts and leavening in unbelief of what happened. I am sure that wasn't his first time making a dessert. I understand it's a fun place to be and it will be loud, but there was more than just some unprofessional behaviors that night. Management should be aware and I hope this wouldn't happen again.

Sabrina! That was the name of our server and she was an absolute delight. Not only was she very pleasant but the Grasshopper shake that I had, and the ice cream my partner in crime had, were both top notch. The entire process from beginning to end is right in front of you including the ice cream being frozen with nitrogen. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool refreshing delight in a prompt and cheerfully professional manner!

I was over the moon when I found out this place was opening just up the street from my work! I'm an ice cream addict and it's safe to say I visit at least twice a week. The employees are wonderful and the owner always makes my visits phenomenal!

-1 for multiple people waiting for a long time at register (finished my Italian ice before I paid).

Moderately pricey, unique, and tasty dessert.

Easily the best subzero I ve been to. The location was clean and the owner was so friendly and helpful with selections. I ve been looking for a dairy free option, which they had and it tasted delicious. We will be going more regularly.

Ice cream was delicious but the size was sad. We ordered medium and there were barely 2 baby scoops, somewhat watery trying to peak out of the cup - unsuccessfully. Somewhat disappointing for the price of $6.25 per person. This was our first time visiting this place and probably last time. Sad - because it tasted good but not worth the money.

Came here for the first time on a Saturday night in December and it was empty. I mean, this is Utah and everyone loved ice cream all year round, so I wasn t sure why this place had no customers on the weekend. Came with a big group of family and it was a different experience to watch how they made ice cream here - provided a bit of entertainment while we waited for our frozen treats. The price was a bit pricey - maybe that s why they don t get a lot of traffic? The flavors were OK and they didn t have much of a presentation with the ice cream they handed us. It wasn t rolled up nicely. The decor inside wasn t super inviting in my opinion, was lacking something that made people want to lounge a bit longer. Customer service was subpar and they can def do a bit better to make the customer feel more welcome.

This is my favorite ice cream place!! I love how you can tailor the ice cream to however you want it to be, starting at the very base. No other ice cream store that I know of offers this! My son loves to see the nitrogen mist rolling off the counter and it provides a great experience to watch the ice-cream being made right in front of your eyes. The staff is on top of it, especially the Manager Romullo, He is very attentive to the customers needs. I love that I can see their friendly smiles and hear them better without masks and with how frequently they are washing their hands and sanitizing the area, I feel extremely satisfied with their high level of hygiene practices. Thanks for making this such a great experience!

We had one of those text coupons, which this location doesn't honor so we just paid full price. The waffle cone was super stale and gross. The service was okay and the ice cream was good.

Went there this morning at 7am to be the first customer on opening day it didn t open after waiting for 1hr. And a half. However I have been to others places of theirs and love the ice cream. If I can t be the first in, then I ll be the first 5 star review!

I absolutely love this ice cream!! I have stopped in and also had delivery. Just checking in now and I see that there are no delivery options available any longer. I wonder why? I need delivery! No car and I am really really craving one of their fabulous concoctions!@

One of my favorite ice cream shops ever! I have been going to Sub Zero since the beginning. I ve followed them from Orem to American Fork, Provo, and now Draper. Same amazing product no matter the location. Worth going to every time!! Super fun and great tasting. They make the ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Such a cool experience!

I have always enjoyed subzero ice cream. It is always very delicious and extremely customizable. The Italian ice, which apparently is only offered at this location, tastes really weird and has a bad texture. But I won t let that fault the amazing ice cream from the home grown Utah s own ice cream shop.

Ice cream was delicious. Fun idea. The wait was way too long. They only had one person working though. I imagine if it was properly staffed it would be worth the time, but we waited around 40min for ice cream.

This was my first time trying sub zero. I was really surprised by the cleanliness of the location. The staff was really nice, and welcoming.

I got a #1.. from looking at everything I thought it would of taken a longer time, but it was really fast .. defiantly my favorite ice cream place!
We will be back soon!

After a cancelled plan in Lehi my boyfriend and I found ourselves near Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice cream. We decided to go in. There were so many options and we were completely confused. The employees were so excited to explain and help us understand. They were quick and so friendly. The price is great for an ice cream place. We ordered a small and shared it as well as the dragon balls. The sizing was great and the flavor was amazing, probably the best ice cream I ve ever had. The dragon balls were so fun and tasty with chocolate sauce. After complementing the employees they asked if we had any suggestions for them because they want to be able to improve. Overall a great experience. Felt cared about by the employees and had a delicious treat!

This is the best Sub Zero in Utah! The store looks great and they have a menu with more yummy food items than any other SZ store. They have kolachies, ice cream cookies, shakes, smoothies, sodas, and the best ice cream in the world. Bring a camera to take some pictures and videos as you witness your ice cream created right before your eyes.

My wife and I happened by during their science class and decided we should bring the kids. They loved it and they just kept asking questions after the class. It's a great opportunity to see science and innovation come together, not to mention that because of how they make it, the ice cream is healthier and has a treuer taste. This is now a family favorite.

This is the worst ice cream I have ever had. I got the low-fat cream and it was like ice/pebbles. I had to send it back and have it remade with the original cream. The texture was better. I still think it is overpriced for the quality. I'd prefer a ColdStone or frozen yogurt place.

Went in for my birthday tonight. First encounter was awful enough to write a review which I typically don t do. We walked in waiting in line happily with my family. The next second a guy with a cooler hits the back of my knee and rudely says excuse you I move and ask for his his name it was Mike. Then our server Maddie quickly steps up and happily asks what we are looking at and if we have any questions. She turned the night around and was absolutely amazing! Happy cheerful and absolutely loves what she is doing! She turned this review from a 1 ( 0 if it was possible) into a 5. Our ice cream and dragon breathe was awesome! So thankful they have employees like Maddie at that store!

This was my first time and I really enjoyed it. I had there pre designed set of peanut butter cup and it was just what you'd expect for peanut butter cup ice cream. I got it in there large size which ended up being more than I had expected because it was piled high above the cup. What really gets them the 5 star rating though is their waffle bowls. I loved the waffle cone! Great texture and awesome flavor!

Enjoyed the new Subzero Grand Opening here at Traverse Mountain! This shop not only carries their signature ice cream (can be made with milk alternatives) but also Kolaches and cookies made with their manager s family recipe. The Kolaches come in sweet or savory...both DELICIOUS The kids really enjoy the Dragons Breath . So many fun yummy and unique goodies at this Subzero. So glad it s close to home! Go check it out!!

A Zero review if possible. Was at Primary Children...

A Zero review if possible. Was at Primary Childrens for 3 days with my daughter and the only thing she wanted when we were released was SubZero because they are the only ice cream that is dairy free. Well 3 hours waiting to leave hospital we were finally on the road. Got to this location at 8:55. All of the chairs were already on top of the tables. Probably about 15 customers sitting or standing since all chairs were up. I walked in because I thought there was a private party... Not... So since the door was open I told my daughter that it was OK to get out of the car.. Which was difficult for her. I looked at the counter and the 2 girls were starring at me and one said we are closed. Really? It was not 9pm yet and the door was open with lots of customers inside. Long story short I have a disappointed daughter from a franchise that needs to let the customers know they come first and not a clock.
