The office staff here are rude. If you try and call it's a waste of time because you can only reach operators not even an office secretary!! I was unimpressed with how Brittany Baloun handled my prescriptions. I missed one appointment. I went to get my birth control filled on a Friday and they said there were no refills. They couldn't get through to anyone until Monday. If you miss two days of birth control you have to start over and it stops working until after a week of taking it again. And that is what happeed. Month after month the pharmacy told me my refills were out and would have to call the doctor office. For some reason it seems like messing with someone's birth control prescription, just because they missed an appointment, should be illegal. But Brittany's nurse who called me back explained that missing one appointment makes you non compliant and that's why they were with holding my birth control prescription!!! Give me a break. That's just rediculous. Never in my life has something like that happened before. Don't waste your time with this office.

Went to this office for over 20 years. I used to see Dr Feltrup. Since he is no longer with us, I would see Janet. Seemed ok at first but eventually turned into a huge hassle every time I would try to schedule an appointment. They can't get you in, they're very rude on the phone, and if you leave a message because nobody answered the phone... they do not call you back. Very disappointing. I ended up changing doctors, as hard as a decision that was. I am very happy with the new Dr I choose and I'm glad I decided to make the switch.

This used to be a good doctors office until Akron General took over! I can never get a fax through .. Never get a phone call through, I might as well not have a family Dr and just go to stat care because I can at least contact them and get through to someone! It used to be a 10 to 15 minute wait and now your waiting 30 minutes to answer hour and half... I've gone here since I was a child and NOW I will be finding a new family Dr.

Dr. Everly was great but the staff is very lacking. Unprofessional, lazy, and think they can be the doctor. For some reason it keeps kicking me off here before I can write my comment. I was told that the "mouth swab" I took in front of the doctor that I had a deadly dose in my system from my "urine test". I then said i didn't do a urine sample that it was a mouth swab and then he remembered it and said no worries. Although I was told I put shavings in my urine even through it was a mouth swab. They are very rude to me and had no compassion except Hope. Dr. Everly sent me a letter that saying I was abusing his staff although he would have no problems being my doctor. Which made no since at all. I had a follow up from being sick but had my mom just went in the hospital from her breaking her back and tried to call from 8am till I received the answering service but got a letter in the mail the next day stating that I had to find another primary care doctor due to no show and non-compliance. I even called the next day after the whole day with although my mother was still in the hospital and to let them be aware of the fact i called them I and couldn't get threw to cance due to a family emergency. As I was told that the phones was down the whole day prior but they would have to talk to see if they would still keep me as a patient. When they did return my call I was told to call back to speak to the adminstor to see what she said although she was not in that day of course but I could leave her a message in her voice mail and she would get back to me at het earliest convenience. Finally after speaking to her she said that since the (one nurse that I know likes me) noted in my file that i tried to call and the phone's was down that whole day Dr. Everly said they would still see me as a patient. Although he couldn't write anymore of my prescriptions. I signed my contact and held up my end of the deal and they broke theirs. They tried to tell me that the wasn't writing anymore scheduled drugs but I know of at least 4 people they are still writing them for. I have never walked into a doctor's office and asked the nurse how was her Easter (last year) and the nurse Hannah tell me it wad good... we took our 2 yr old daughter to the cemetery to spend it. She even went into details that her (Hannah) father passed away at a young age for her so she thought that her daughter and herself and husband should have dinner there. Take to note she was at that time Dr. Everly's assistant. She is even the one that said I had a urine sample but I had a mouth swab and the doctor was present. Since Dr. Everly left I have no clue who is even my doctor now and I did ask when I got through to talk to someone and they said that 2 doctor's have pending contracts. But call of I need something! Also the adminstor said that they considered when I was trying to call and their phone wasn't working but take to note that was a no show and if I don't show up for future appointment then they couldn't see me any longer as a patient. They took me off schedule medicine without tapering me down or sending me a certified letter. If I wanted to take it to another level they could be in a lot of trouble. I feel uncomfortable going there by just they way they treat me or even calling in general. I usually don't put out my private stuff but I thought people should know! Please be careful and question everything with your doctor of your choice and please don't be so quick to just take anyone. I'm sorry I wrote a book but maybe it will help just at least one person to not go through whay I have then I made a difference by telling my story. Then it's worth it! Just be careful in picking any doctor. There is larger stuff I didn't post on here but personally I will be looking for another doctor myself.

The doctor that I saw, Cynthia was absolutely awful. She was 40 minutes behind, completely disorganized and didn't have anything to offer to help with my issue I came with. She actually was online browsing "remedies" to help. Something I had already done before I came. It was an absolute waste of money coming as she didn't seem to have a clue how to help. I was very disappointed to say the least from the lack of time management to the lack of knowledge. Finding a new doctor.

My family and I have been going here since 1997! This was the best and friendliest place around. We miss Dr. Lonsdorf and Dr. Feltrup (RIP). Since it was sold to Cleveland Clinic, the level of care has been reduced. It is very corporate and no one seems to care about you or know you for that matter. The entire health care going corporate thing has ruined it. We see Janet Smith there now and she is wonderful. Once she retires, we will find another provider.

I was a patient of Dr Lonsdorf for 18 years. He retired and I was assigned to a new doctor but never met him because he was unable to keep any of my appointments. Office would call to tell me that he would be out and I needed to reschedule. New appointment were scheduled as much as 3 months later. Over a year passed by and I never was able to see a doctor. Whenever I had questions, it was impossible to speak with anyone. Usually could not even get an answer on phone. There seemed to be a total lack of any interest in giving me any kind of care. I finally changed doctors.

I have been a patient since, I think 2010. Dr Lonsdorf was such a pleasant and knowledgeable Doctor. I as well as others do miss him. Prior to his leaving I switched over to Dr Everly, again a very knowledgeable and wonderful Dr. I saw him as an emergency appointment. Dr Lonsdorf was on a 2 week vacation, I had a Kidney INFARCTION, was hospitalized and told I must see my doc the following week, with Dr Lonsdorf on vacation, they told me there was as nothing that could be done. I insisted and told them to give Dr Everly a note that I was the Daughter of 2 of his paitients. Imagine,...there was nothing open for months, the following Tuesday Dr Everly had my hospital notes gave me life knowledge to work with. I am now sad that he is gone. I hope Dr Everly comes back after the emergency with his daughter comes back to us. I'm sure they will find a Dr with good qualications to take his place. I agree office staff could do better. I still feel loved and cared for in the office, so I have to give a great review.

I'd like to thank Betty, who has always looked out for me. She has always been a good sister to me. I've only met Brittany once so far and I believe that she really cares about me and my health. I'm proud to have both of them in my life. God bless you Both

Dr Sood is a good Doctor but his nurse is terrible, you can t get a return call, took 3 days to get a prescription called in. We are looking for a new doctor, im am so tired of having to call multi times to get a response.

I love the Doctor and nurses! On the other hand, the clerical staff is absolutely awful! Will lie to you and give you wrong information and nobody to help when there s a office or paperwork issue. I ve been sent to three different places in two weeks to attempt to pick up my prescriptions that they tell me were sent and none of the places I was told to go to pick them up have anything from their office sent over Though I confirmed with someone in the office over the phone twice. Not only am I out of my prescriptions for weeks but wasting time and breath calling just to get misinformed! Not to mention spending gas driving all over on a wild goose chase for nothing. If your ok with going into the office in person to deal with everything with the doctor himself then no problem. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

This office does NOT care about people or patients. Lied to the 2 of us waiting for over an hour claiming there were 2 other patients in the the back with extensive care needs? At the walk in express care? I am pretty sure they would send "extensive" care to the ER. I watched them refuse 5 patients (3 of which were small children) because they had too many patients? Um there were 3 people in front of me and I was the last one seen and only 1 patient came out while we waited. So in 3 hours they saw a total of 5 patients.. They were supposed to be open until 8pm, when I drove past at 7 to pick up my prescription the building was dark. After the long wait and poor bedside manner the CNP tried to guilt me because she had seen "20 patients, she was pregnant and hadn't eaten or taken a break." Rude and unprofessional.

I was a patient of Dr. Feltrup for 20 years (he was wonderful, and is sorely missed RIP), and have been seeing Janet, their physician assistant. I am currently looking for a new doctor. Since the practice was purchased by Cleveland Clinic the quality of care seems to have gone down the commode. The doctors seem to be short on time and bedside manner, and their office staff are rude. I've lost faith in them completely. They told me I had an upper respiratory infection and gave me an antibiotic. But when the symptoms were worse and I couldn't breathe a few days later I ended up in the emergency room. No, not a URI - I had pneumonia! Which the doctor might have caught if he'd spent longer than 3 minutes with me. Also, good luck trying to get through to them. I just called for the SIXTH TIME just to get an authorization, and when I select that option the phone just rings and rings. Well, I give up. There are plenty of doctors, I don't need to put up with crappy care, inaccessible doctors and bad attitudes.

I was very hesitant to go here because of the reviews. Now I am so thankful I decided to see for myself. From the time we walked through the door until we left we were treated fantastic. My son seen Dr. Minich. He walked out of there on a cloud! This has been the only time we have ever been to a Dr. that actually cares and takes the time to make sure you leave knowing nothing was left unsaid. I have never felt so comfortable and not rushed. Her nurse was absolutely fantastic as well as her receptionist. Thank you all so very much. I honestly feel you are giving my son back the good normal life he use to live!!! Myself and my husband cannot thank them enough!! Please look past the negative reviews, this place is where you want to go if you want the best medical care from caring staff.

I had been a patient of Dr. Lonsdorf for 30 years. Since his retirement this place is incapable of handling patients. Appointments require 3 weeks advanced scheduling - Find another Doctor for you will die before you can be seen at this place. I sure miss Dr. Lonsdorf. I had a sleep study ordered by Jill Sommers, NP and for 2 weeks after the test I called 6 times to get my results and no one would call me back. I finally talked to Jill herself who told me they lost my results twice. Today I called again to find out the status of the cpap they were to have ordered for me and was told I hand to handle that myself. I explained to the office my frustration and that my family would be changing doctors - I was told "well that's your choice". It's unfortunate for the "good employees" they have from when the practice was run by Dr. Lonsdorf for I hope this place loses all their patients.

As long as you understand the level of patience needed to deal with Cleveland Clinic/Akron General, this is a wonderful office. Close to home, friendly receptions, nurses, CPNs, and doctors. Can usually get an appointment by the next day, and if my PCP is out for the day Im typically offered an appointment with another physician. Always treated well here, highly recommend!

Since Cleveland Clinic took over this practice, operations are severely lacking. Communication by phone has been very difficult as the automated system does not work. The whole computer system does not work properly. Faxes have been lost. Mistakes have been made with written prescriptions that have taken me hours on the phone to resolve. It's next to impossible to get through to the right extension and speak with a live person. When I leave a message and need to wait for a return call, it is usually ignored or maybe just gets lost. At first I thought things would soon run smoothly again after a time of growing pains under the new Cleveland Clinic system. After ~3 years it has not improved, but just continues to get worse. All the "streamlining" makes it obvious to me that Cleveland Clinic is incompetent to run a doctor's office practice. They just don't seem to care about patient healthcare. I have contacted Akron General's Patient Advocate and was promised they would investigate. They did a very poor job in responding to their voice mail and I made many follow-up calls. The few times I was able to finally speak with the patient advocate I felt she truly wanted to help during the phone conversation. But nothing was ever done. Quality of healthcare is going downhill because of rules and regulations placed by insurance companies, the government, and owners trying to make the most money possible. I do not fault Suburban South Family Physicians' staff. They are good people. Almost all are friendly, polite, and caring. But no one can do a good job if they don't have the proper tools. I have looked into changing to a different doctor in another location who is not under the Cleveland Clinic/Akron General system. It seems I will run into many of the same problems. I don't know what the answer is. I feel rather hopeless.
