We have stayed at the Buffalo Chip more times than I can remember over the last 30 years, and each year the facilities get better. If you are looking for an uptown experience go elsewhere, but if you are looking for excellent entertainment, great staff, wonderful people, the best biking experience and bikers in the world and want to experience the "Time of Your Life", you don't want to miss it. I highly recommend it to those who want to live and ride free and experience the best Sturgis experience of your life.
We got there at 515pm had 1 band at the crossroads, they hype the Cross roads up but wasn't impressed, I had a beer my friend wanted a cherry Jerry, the bar tender made it half way before she found out there was no more granaden then after that when she was asked for a stir stick to mix the drink she told us they were out. Management should have endured the bar was stocked but no one was there management wise. Poor support staff for this Cross roads we won't be back anytime soon.
Best time I've ever had working didn't get to see a lot what I saw was a great time to be had from anyone that was there will definitely make it somewhere I work for the 10 days they're open every year the rest of my life
Very bad experience with concert tickets. How they get you is that your not really buying concert tickets but you re paying for a campsite and the tickets are included. They also have an iron clad no cancellation policy. We bought tickets for the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert for the 2020 rally. Not only did Skynyrd not play we are from Canada and couldn t get across the border. They did let us rebook our tickets for next year but has to be the same date and whatever band is playing that s who you see. We probably won t be going so the money will be gone. They have a very slippery way of selling things. Be warned. On the upside and a bit off topic, Minneapolis and Fargo both have no cancellation policies for their campgrounds and they refunded us our money no problem because of the border closures. Kudos to them. Buffalo Chip doesn t have very good Public Relations as far as I m concerned!!!
I read many reviews of people complaining because the headline act was not on by 1030 and that they waited a long time.. Well the schedule clearly says they don't go on until 10:30, can't help your laziness. The showers were kept fairly clean and the bathrooms and showers all had attendants. Pro there too. I paid for the deluxe showers. Everything was priced within reason and no steep gouging anymore than you would see at a carnival. All the residents were very welcoming and the police kept a laid back presence. Very, very enjoyable and Kid Rock was awesome.
Buffalo Chip was awesome camp ground to stay guste app they have everything you really never have to leave
Staff is always courteous and there is always something to do and the shows just rock. Not to mention all the women.
Enjoyed the show! Amazed and Impressed at how patrioric The Chip is in everything they do! Get the feeling it is very genuine and not just a marketing gimmick! Lots of of food and drink everywhere you turn!
Wife got some ink @ Tattoo Cafe and they did a great job. Would defeinetly go back again. Well worth the money spent.
Always something going on to keep you entertained. Some of the staff needs to remember they are there by choice and getting paid to wait on all of us (drop the attitude)
Loved this campground and venue. Had amazing bathroom service! Always clean. Entertainment was on point and staff are friendly and so are the neighbors. Will be going to the Buffalo every year. Great experience with our start for a Sturgis tradition.
Place is a dump. Just a muddy stinky over priced concert venue. Won't go back after 10 years the place goes down hill more every year.
There are many great events here that you can see inexpensively by getting a camp/rv pass. On the other hand the Buffalo Chip facility is poorly managed. The staff is poorly trained, not helpful & inconsistent. The layout of the campground is poor too. It is very difficult to exit the campground - beware if you leave the campground during Sturgis be sure to leave before 10am. I had waited 1 hr to leave the campground on my bike.
There rules and information are inconsistent and miscommunicated is an UNDERSTATEMENT of the YEAR!
Fun environment. The campsites are crowded with RVs. Aside from that it's great.
We stay here every year! If you wanna have fun, party and a lot to do, this is the place
Great Rally stop. Wish the beer wasnt so expensive
We stopped in to see what it looked like. We drove thru sturgis a day before they opened. Looks like a cool place to see entertainment.
Always a great with tons of entertainment for everyone
Not what I expected.. waited for the "legendary"... Never saw it..
Awesome place to stay for the motorcycle rally. Been coming here five years! The past 4 yrs the Chip has had great music lineup. This year was a little disappointing.
Stayed here the last 2 years and it was the most amazing time I have ever had. People were great concerts were great food and drink were great. Plus the facility was top notch. See you in a few months and happy 40th BC
Entaining, events worth the trip.activities on the grounds much of the day. Pleasant experience in the camp ground. Many new friends made during visit
I partied my ass off, best music line up hands down!
thanx woody we had the time of our lives, cant wait to stay with the chip again
We had a great experience @ the Buffalo chip 2017!! Everyone should experience it once for sure!! Made great friends and memories here! It is what you make it for sure! Thank you..
Maybe not for everyone, but it's a hell of a party during the rally.
Such a great place to visit while you are in the area. Entertainment, drinks, good times for sure
Amazing , alot of fun ,and I seen things I didnt expect , I'll be going again
live entertainment, great for people watching, bike watching
Very large campground with fantastic Bands and other entertainment.
Need to be better prepared for the crowd. 2 days to wait to get RV dumped is ridiculous!!!
Concerts were good but that's it! Pay 280 for a private port a pot that the storm blew over and they never came to clean up. Put us in spot that we had to move next day. Public bathrooms you could smell at least 3 campsite away. Can't take alcohol into camp, hide it!!! Zip lined for same price with no pics last day.
My husband and I rode our motorcycle from Michigan to Sturgis in 2013. We got married at the Chapel in the Hills on August 5, 2013. We stayed at the Buffalo Chip...and it was an awesome experience! You cannot find a better deal. We More
Camping at The Buffalo Chip is the only way to enjoy the rally! The concerts, food and most importantly the people you meet will leave a lasting impression and keep you looking forward to next year. The Fenske concierge team Bonnie, Leighann and Samantha go out of their way to make sure your stay is an experience to remember. To Ron and Carol, we all appreciate you!
No bull. This place is the real deal. If you have seen the Chip on the Discovery channel. It lives up to it's reputation. Lots to do. Lots of great people. Be back in 2017.
Like a mini Western town in the middle of nowhere. Great concert venue for a relaxed show
Buffalo chip is always a fun place to go even when the Rally's not there.
Had a great time. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Shinedown was awesome!
Lied about free concerts. Only free if you rent a non existent camp site.
Not wheelchair friendly. But staff is eager to help.
Vendors beware. Unpredictable weather. Bad planning. Empty promises of foot traffic and lack of communication. We were sold a pack of lies and we lost thousands in preparation for this event. Outrageous RV rental costs and vendors fees would have been offset if they they had half of the numbers they promised on their vendors brochure. It's called Buffalo Chip for a reason. Never coming back.
Biker heaven. Great music, people, and things to see
Still waiting at 10:30 for the main act to take the stage. Spent $450 for family and friends to see Eric Church and it s after 10:30 at night and the show has not started. If I would have known the concert started this late I would have saved my money. I m sure I m not the only one who feels this way.
Overrated expensive no amenities go to days inn campground
Not a bad place to stay for the bands, but overly crowded, people on top of each other. The thing that also made us give a 1 * review is, they let unprofessional people do business inside their facility like the laundry lady that lost half our clothes, very sentimental stuff. And when we went to the place where she is working there is no one to be found. How could you stay in a place where you cant have clean clothes and your stuff stolen? YOU DON'T...
The funniest place to go in Sturgis. Awesome entertainment
Lots of events at this location. Facility has lost some of its charm over the years.
Good time. except for 1 A## at Eric church concert.
Buffalo Chip is the place to stay during the Sturgis Rally. We have a dedicated crew with a great bunch of folks who love to ride and hang out at the concerts. Between the toy haulers, campers and the tents we have an amazing time. Woody and his crew are amazing and we always feel welcome and safe.
LOVED IT!!! Best time of my life. Awesome accommodations, they have everything covered - even things you would never think of. Shows nightly and always something to do - We hardly spend anytime outside of the Chip!
Amazing!!! Don't t let the negative nellies below make you not come. Everything was great! AND CLEAN!
