I was walking my dog near the church parking lot in the early evening with plenty of light outside. A dog nearby had "gotten out" with two girls trying to chase after it with no leash. It attacked my dog and I screamed in terror. Loud enough that those in their lawn chairs and bleachers could hear. Pleading for help. Everyone stood up to look at what was happening and then quickly vanished out of view. No help. No assistance from anyone to come over and check on the situation. They all turned a blind eye.
The most hypocritical situation - for those who gather together at a church and had the opportunity to do something to help someone in need, and yet did nothing. Unbelievable.

I can only speak to the fish fry. We go here because it's close to our house and it's a super cheap good fish dinner. The fish is pretty good, and this year they introduced fish tacos which are smaller but quite tasty. The staff for the fish fry is generally nice. They ran out of fish and sides one week we went an hour before closing, but were pretty accommodating about it.

The patrons have been getting a bit more unfriendly lately, but I can't really discredit St. J&A for that. Examples: not moving at all to accommodate someone with a full tray as you squeeze through the narrow space between tables, getting annoyed if you ask them to pass the salt or pepper, acting suspicious if you try to offer them your dessert tickets because you're way too full, etc.

But the desserts are bountiful..they're donated by the patrons there and -- wow. Some people really know how to bake. Every once in a while you get a real gem and think "how did they even do that?"

The line is pretty long but worth the wait. Get a beer or soda in line for a decent price while you wait. The last time or two we want, there was a beer & wine cart that came around while we waited.

Overall a good experience for fish fry. But we aren't Catholic so we can't speak to the church.

I am member of this church. I love this church for all Holy sacraments and messages and charity works. But I have a big suggestion, please start a bible study not a discussion group, a deep bible study. One of the priest should come forward to start that once in a week. The "WORD" of God has power. Jesus did all his works through words. I don't know whom should I ask if I have any doubt in the Bible. I am from India, we have very good bible study classes and healing ministries under Catholic Churches over India and also here in United States, but not in Saint Louis I witnessed many among my family and friends. So please start a bible study in our church. I am not talking about Sundays because we have our holy mass and that is very important sacrament which i deeply love. I am deeply praying on this matter, world wide Catholic Churchs should start bible study and healing ministries. Praise and worship songs and bible study's on Saturday or any week days can bring many people to our lord Jesus Christ through our Churches.I am so happy in India power of Jesus is spreading through Catholic Churches by doing the same.
