I have been a nurse for the last 35 years and during my admission at the facility I did not tell many what I did for a living not knowing if all of them knew or not it did not matter because you could see the genuine caring spirit of the staff their professionalism surpasses any I have seen in a long time in a medical facility. Thanks to all the staff that varied for me during my stay. My name is not Laura that s my granddaughter my name is Sandra. I just can t even put my finger on one person that was not a blessing to me. Even the Environment Service worker was encouraging to me. Again thank you for your service.

We arrived around 12pm and were treated with hostility from the intake nurse. She acted like I was inconveniencing her and just wasting her time.

I was told we would have to wait in the car, while it's almost 90 degrees out; with no shade to be found, for nearly 3 hours. We're lucky we didn't run out of gas or have a heat stroke.

We finally received call from Triage and were treated with hostility yet again. We were told "they can't guarantee that you'll get COVID-19 test" with the worst sass a woman could muster.

We get called into the building around 3 and get treated with hostility from R.N. JANE L ROSZELL
"You don't go to the ER for a stuffy nose"

After getting swabbed for all the things, I made that hateful woman EAT HER WORDS when my CoVid test came back positive. I have never felt so unwelcome in a hospital before in my life. For a hospital that prides itself on "compassion", I didn't find much during my visit. The only people who were not hateful or hostile were the NP Sherry K Williams and the maintenance man who had to fix the door.

Hospital administration needs to do better in ensuring that the staff treats ALL patients with respect and compassion, instead of being so hateful and treating your patients with disdain.

I would rather drive all the to Birmingham than go to StringFellow ever again. Absolutely unacceptable.

I brought my daughter in due to a small toy being lodged in her ear. After waiting for over 4 hours, we were told they didn't have tools small enough to remove it. They didn't hesitate to send me a bill for over $200 though!

Furthermore, I sat and watch how patients were treated and it's just awful. They kept patients waiting in the waiting room for hours when exam rooms are clearly available. The demeanor of the nurses and administrators is cold and unwelcoming. This is NOT how healthcare should be. Extremely disappointed in this facility!!

My family has been going to Stringfellow Hospital for over 20 years. We have almost always had great experiences there. The few times that one of us had a problem, we reported to the supervisor. The problem was resolved. It was handled without trashing them on social media. I recommend this hospital highly.

Worst hospital and very unprofessional! Upon arrival, the older lady in the front talked to me as if I'm hard of hearing and incapable of comprehending what she was telling me. We were the only black people at the time, and her mannerism towards my son and I was completely different than the Caucasian man that came in behind me. Once in the back, the male nurse took my son BP and, due to my son being sleepy, he didn't get an adequate reading. He also refused to recheck it. Another nurse, I'm not sure of her title, had an attitude and told me after a 2 hr wait that it's an ER, that happens. I explained to her that I'm not slow and her attitude was unecessary. She was short with her responses and didn't have my son's best interest at heart. The doctor came in as soon as he saw me come out looking for someone. The doctor didn't wash his hands and barely looked at my son. He may have been in there a total of 3 min. Mind you, they weren't busy at all. Worst ER my son and I have EVER experienced. WILL NOT RECOMMEND!

I went around 4:20 pm and left at 9pm but that is fairly short for the hospital around the area and they followed social distance in the lobby as well. I recommend here over the rmc ER down the street were the wait is around 10 hours +
