I'll start out by saying I'll never come back! It has such great potential but a lot has to change before it gets anywhere to where it should be. The costumer service is horrible. No one was friendly except a few bar tenders. The spa was very cold and the therapist talked the entire massage. I could go on for days. Worst trip in a very long time.

We have gone to several resorts, but this one is severely lacking in customer service.

We stayed in the clubhouse; a building with about 10-12 suites set up for a group outing. The layout was great, as we had our own rooms, but in the middle there was a shared room with pool table tvs, etc. This room could only be accessed by people in our group. Below our rooms was one of the restaurants on the property. The food was awesome there. The golf course, bars, rooms and grounds are all top notch. The bartenders and our servers were great. The people on the phone where great. When we arrived and there was a wasp issue in our room, they quickly moved us to another room. The guys in the pro-shop were great.

Unfortunately, the service was not in line with the service of a resort. We pulled up, and had to ask about a cart for our bags, then nobody helped us with our bags. In fact, one of the guys walked up and said "You guys ok," as he ran past to get another car that was pulling up. Upon checking in, the lady was very nice, but there was no map provided, no clue as to which building had what, or nothing said about what events, if any, were to be held on premise. One day we went on a walk around the main building to see what there was to offer. We walked into the spa, to ask about the services, and where the pool was but the lady there acted like we were taking to much of her time.

Overall, the stay was uneventful. It seems like they are trying to cater to the Friday noon group of golfers, rather than the customers that are staying on premise. The place has a long way to go before you can consider it a resort; for now, it's only great for a round of golf.

Absolutely beautiful hotel & surroundings. Rooms are fantastic and the little things (like a bookshelf with classic hardcover novels that you can actually read) made me smile. We will definitely be coming back!

Broken glass bottles, food trays sitting in the hallways for our entire stay. Rooms and golf were terrific. But the cleanliness of the path to and from our room was terrible.
Service at the golf course was lacking. Had to load, unload our golf bags and carry them to the staging area.

First class resort with regards to amenities, views and food. Most of the associates were friendly and helpful especially in the rooftop bar and P205. The valet provided exceptional service. Did encounter one front desk person who was a little cranky and the Italian restaurant messed up our order. Server was a bit defensive about the error and it took quite a bit of time to correct the problem. But the food was excellent and worth the wait. Our favorite meal was in P2O5. Golf was challenging but 3 different courses allow you to.play to your level. If you're not a golfer, you might run out of things to keep you busy. The resort definitely caters more to the men golfers than women. Was worth the experience, will consider going back. See separate review on the golf course...

Played Red on May 5th, a mess. Bunkers not raked, weeds on Tee boxes and in fairways. All the pins were in illegal positions, 5 feet from the edge. The story is they took all the staff and put them on the Blue course which is holding an LPGA amateur event. They claim it rained the night before which it did, but bunkers should be raked by our 11 am Tee time. Not worth it, save your money. Played blue in 2014, great, but this was not a good experience at all.

Golf was great, staff was wonderful, stayed for 3 days and ate at both premier restaurants. The food was terrific, as well. I was really impressed with the size and quality of the rooms at the hotel. This was a wonderful golf experience.

Spent 3 nights there only a week ago. Played the red and black courses and had dinner in the lobby restaurant and the Italian restaurant downstairs.

Definitely NOT a 5 Star resort. Atmosphere and decor makes you feel like you re in an institution. No pictures on the walls in the lobby or in the hallways. The furniture is way too Art Deco like decor.

Service was just ok, nobody had a smile on their face no matter where we were in the resort.

$24 for a meat ball !!! $25 for a $6 cigar at the bar near the red/blue course.

Black course was much better than the red. Had to get a forecaddie on the red course and he didn t even know the course. He said he s been away and they made a bunch of changes since he last worked. Can t believe they wouldn t train the caddy on the course before forcing us to use him $120 fee later. Caddy on the black course carried two bags and was excellent $220 fee. We requested individual caddies but were not available.

Red course greens were recently sanded. Typical links style course which is pretty boring because it is not manacured with plants, flowers or trees. Walking from greens to tee boxes you had to walk through thick sand which got into my golf shoes, felt like I walking on the beach. They need to do a better job at making paths for golfers to walk without having to walk they the sand since walking on the black course is mandatory.

The resort is in the middle of nowhere, you re basically trapped to eat there because closest restaurants of any kind are about 45min-1hr drive away.

I will not be back. Be there done that!

btw, this is the first time I ve ever written a negative feedback but it was very hard not to due to overall experience.

I have played the Red/Blue courses roughly 30-40 times and just spent a week there with a group from my club. With great anticipation I looked forward to playing the Black course and was disappointed. I enjoyed the routing but the greens are so tricked up that it made the two rounds we played on it less than enjoyable. I am a Gil Hanse fan but sincerely believe if the greens are not softened a bit, it will get nowhere near the play as Red/Blue. Other than that, the trip regardless of the wind and rain was as good as ever, the caddies terrific and the rooms superb. The Red/Blue are wonderful courses, an experience you would never expect in Florida.

We highly recommend Streamsong.
P2o5 restaurant with Maria & Lori which gave us outstanding service.
This was A+ Experience.

Stayed there over a long summer weekend with my kids. Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful, secluded feel of the urban, contemporary design property. Lodge service was very good; poolside service lacked a bit of attention. Had some delicious dishes: Snapper at P2O5, was one of the best dishes I've ever had, Steak Tacos at Fragmentary Blue and Grouper Sandwich by the pool were also both very good. The boneless ribs were not good, unfortunately. Nice fitness center and a bonus find ping pong room provided good fun during the rain. Would definitely return.

Pure golf retreat. The golf is challenging and picturesque. Staff is very courteous and helpful. A couple of very good dining options at the resort, at the clubhouses, and on the course. Which is good since you are land locked in the middle of nowhere in central Florida. Strictly for the golf purists.

Drive through the farm and industry heartland. 90 minutes from Tampa, Orlando, almost 2 hours from Fort Myers. An hour from Lakeland. Once you get to resort, though, it is beautiful and elegant. The room is spectacular. We had the King Lakeview. In room greeted with a bucketful of ice and two glasses and all the accoutrements for a fabulous Streamsong Bloody Mary. That said, you had better have everything you need. No sweet town to walk to. Only 3 golf courses. 6 restaurants, 3 of them you have to take a 2.5 mile shuttle. Cannot walk it. Bring a good bug spray. If you want golf then it is a good place but expensive. $160 for golf plus $35 for cart but then must have caddy $100, and no cart before 11 am or have a doctor's note. Then watch out for the caddy who might ask for more money. The resort does have a spa and archery and sleet shooting too. So if you want that kind of weekend. This is the place. Wait. Hard to reach them by phone a to get answers or return phone calls. Put on Do Not Disturb sign. Engineering banged on the door to fix ac which was not broke. How rude. Ignored the sign. Woke him.

underwhelming ... entrance very pristine and lacking any pizzaz or warmth ... no one to welcome ... poor signage - had to hunt/guess where pool was located and pool not open as advertised. Although well below capacity. we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor and almost at end of hallway from elevator. Room however was excellent ... great and functional layout ... very comfortable.

Top notch rooms. Much larger than your average high-end hotel. The restaurants are amazing and, though I don t golf, I hear the golf courses are amazing as well. Plenty of off-campus activities for those who don t golf. Bit of a drive to get out there, but there s plenty to keep you occupied while you re there.

I am a golfer, but the other couple who came with us had a non-golfer. There is little for a non-golfer. Spa is nothing special, fitness center acceptable but not replenished as it should be. Also be advised that the property is in the middle of nowhere. Red course is by far the most playable and visually attractive. Very fun. Black course has the worst traits of Dye "fool the golfer" design. Greens are huge, full of hills and valleys, and impossible to read. Caddies are a must on all courses. Restaurants are ok but nothing in hotel is top notch.

Rooms resort and amenities were amazing!

Special thanks to:

Carlos - request this man as your caddy! His sense of humor will make you feel like hes part of your foursome. His reads on the course will make you feel like you re a better golfer.

Trey - request this man for any guided activities! An outdoorsman through and through, trey was eager to pass his knowledge along.

Ashley - Poolside bar is the place to be in between activities and dinner. Ashley was very friendly and outgoing, making our group feel right at home!

Mina & Thompson - The rooftop bar is the perfect place to end the night especially with these two lovely ladies taking extra special care of you!

And last but not least, the amazing Sarah! She is quite adorable and made my first mani - pedi a relaxing and comfortable experience. I hear she also gives great straight shaves and cuts!

Went there the weekend before Thanksgiving for my son's wedding. Great place awesome staff and great service. Want a place that can put on a great wedding another awesome job. Ok let's get to free time when you can get away from the wedding thing. They have golf, great course, they will take you fishing in the large water area around the resort. Large bass, very nice. When you finish with all that let's make plans to get in some skeet shooting. Girl's go down and show your man you can shoot skeet too. Restaurant's ,full bar and room to relax. This place is out in the country side and not close to town, it's for kick back time, and a good weekend of golf. Enjoy

Beautiful contemporary hotel with great rooms. Excellent food and service at the restaurants. Only 3 stars due to the fact that the place is full of surprise due to a lack of information to the new guests. For instance at registration we were not told that the Italian restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays. At the golf at black it was good luck Charlie at finding out about options. The caddy fee was also evasive, we booked a twosome with cart and caddy expecting to be the two of us and a caddy to find at at tee time that it became a foursome with one caddy to be shared. Confusion therefore on price and tip. We were sent with new towel unwashed that just covered my face with blue lent.

Quick biz trip, can't wait to go back for fun! Decor is industrial - meets - rustic - meets - nature. Best part is no fancy hotel up charging for valet, shuttles, or internet. Sure, it's pricey but the stay and play packages are good deals! Already planning our return trip!

We played this death trap of a desolate golf course. Played the Red course after the Blue. Complete waste of time(to get there) and expense ($300) Forget it ! Horrible layout. More sand than Daytona Beach.

In my opinion this is the number one premier golf destination on the east coast! The two negative reviews here IMO seem written by (1) no understanding of great golf architecture and (2) by someone not interested in golf at all. When I say great golf architecture IMO I would place both courses in the top ten new (Golf Digest Courses You Can Play). One can argue about price but I would play either of the courses once rather than some of the typical Florida courses 5 times! Yes, the hotel is elegant and maybe too much so for a golf resort but comparing it to the top destinations in the country it holds its own in value.
The only negative is the men's forward tees make the course play too long for a senior and after asking why the slope was higher for the forward tees was told by the pro shop "they are ladies tees". IMO that should be rectified by making combination tees with appropriate course ratings. I visited with players 20 years younger and this lack made meaningful competition very difficult. The outstanding caddies tried to sooth my ego by telling me "they are not ladies tees". BTW I am 75 but walked 18 three days running in early September heat.

Beautiful resort, but not worth having to deal with the untrained and disrespectful staff. I would not recommend ever visiting Streamsong as they do not care what you say or how you feel. All the matters to them is getting through the night and starting up again in the morning.

The service is pretty lackluster, even by resort golf standards. It s definitely just a cash factory where they push you down the assembly line and the employees are just going through the motions, they don t care at all. The golf courses are fun as far as resort golf courses go (the black course is a good addition) and the hotel is nice enough for a group of guys mostly because the facilities are still pretty new. It's not even close to a five star experience kind of place, but for a Florida guys golf trip, it's a solid option.

Very expensive, but a top quality golf destination. 3 fabulous golf courses, although the Black course had more tricked out greens (severe slopes and undulations) than necessary. Super helpful staff.

I decided to stop by at the end of June because I'd heard so many good things about the golf here. I played Streamsong Red and it did not disappoint. I thought the front nine was an great design and the back nine was a good challenge. I didn't get to finish because I was interrupted by a second lightening delay (I missed the Biarritz green!), but it did not stop me from really enjoying the round.

Went here for our 30th anniversary. I golfed the Red and Black courses. They were in excellent shape. The caddie that we had was very helpful on the undulating greens. Without his help I'm sure there would have been a lot more 3 putts. That staff at the resort was attentive to our needs. They have many choices of dining options which is nice. Make sure that if you like to have special items with you that you bring them with. This place is in the middle of nowhere. Will definitely be going back.

What am I missing.. First the good. There were many great service staff that need a shout out. Starting with caddies AJ and Tommy best caddies I have ever worked with. Then there were great bar and restaurant servers that took great care of us. 12 in our group were accommodated at all the course restaurants and the roof top bar. Food was great but the liquor was measured with an eye dropper. Yes a good way to maintain costs just don't look so obvious. When I order a Martini don't leave 1/3 of my glass empty because you are so focused on pennies..

Golf. I went from great caddies to a beginner caddie that expected the same money as one of the veterans. He did the job of am average fore caddie. He could not read the greens or call yardage and this made my round unbearable. To top it off I have the ranger annoyed with my group because we are "not pushing the group in front of us. The Caddies were not helping each other and both were unwilling to hussle. The veteran caddie should look for another job because he was burnt out. I would ask for some assistance from him and it was like pulling teeth. The courses were in ok shape. Bunkers had rocks and were many times unraked. Fairways were not lush with lots of deadpan around the greens. Great property just not worth the money maybe just needs to mature. Play was brutally slow..

Went for a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful! Wedding was held outside and then had drinks in a reception area near the pool and conference rooms. After we were bussed to another large dinning area overlooking a large lake. The staff was incredibly helpful and took care of our needs. Our food was cooked to perfection and the portion was large. Only downfall is that cell reception was extremely poor but they did offer Wi-Fi. Didn't get a chance to play a round of golf but was told it's a waking only course.

Exceeded expectations. Played all 3 (Blue black red) and loved each one. VERY playable tracks, with elevation change and great greens. Our caddie was Nick, and couldn't have asked for a better one. He knew everything about the courses and was great company. Highly recommend visiting streamsong. Their steakhouse wasn't excellent for the money, but you can choose from multiple restaurants on premises.

My 3 brothers and I played both courses while in FL for the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational. I convinced them to go after reading rave reviews about how Streamsong is the Bandon Dunes of the East Coast. Well I've been to Bandon 5 times..... and Streamsong is no Bandon Dunes. No way, no how. They both have grass, sand and golf holes, and that is the end of the similarities. I honestly can't say there was even one memorable hole. 36 holes..... nothing worth talking about. Wait... I did see a gator. Very cool.

Overpriced. Overrated. Disappointing. This is no $200 plus golf track. I'd pay no more than $75 to play it again. BTW you are forced to have a caddie. That will make it an expensive day. A day you will regret. One of my brothers lives in Orlando. After the rounds we talked of the multiple courses we could have played that are much better for the same or less money. I wish I could tell you all how amazing it is, but it isn't so I won't. I have never reviewed a single place or thing in my life. Just can't sleep at night thinking that someone out there is planning a brother or buddy golf trip will get suckered into driving to the middle of nowhere to play a course that is average at best. No memories to be had here...... move on.

It was very cool and will definitely be back. Everyone was so great but man do something about your checkin and checkout service this has to be the worst I have ever seen at a resort...
but out side of the that the bar and restaurant staffs are awesome. Don't let the check in check out experience scare you from the resort that stuff can be fixed easily with the right manager....Do go it is crazy and in the middle of absolutely nowhere....I loved it great time.

I thought we were lost then we turned the corner and BAM! This beautiful resort comes out of nowhere! Really cool rooms, different from most hotels. 2 tv's back to back which separate the bedroom and living room. Showers were great even the tiny soaps seemed better than usual. Didn't spend a ton if time there but if I ever find myself in the area, I'll be back

Golf is 4 stars.Well run and organized golf. Beautiful sight golf courses.
Setup as resort courses. Plenty of trouble but also many very wide fairways. Either in the wide fairway or dead off the tee. No rough per se. This keeps play moving, along with the group caddy system. This keeps the round time at a reasonable, 4-4.5 hour. Red and Blue are very interesting and fun. The Black course has problems. It has some greens that are completely tricked up. There are 3-4 greens that are ridiculous and pointless. It s too bad. They should fix it.
Accommodations are 4 stars.
Dining is 2.5 stars. They present some places there as fine dining , and they are priced that way. But the quality is not across the board excellent. Fine dining/upscale and you are served stale bread? Unfortunately they have you as a bit of a captive audience if you are on premises, so they have nothing that they need to compete with once you re there. Stick with the club house beers and burgers.
