This company is not worth working for. At first, it sounds good since everything works through an app. The process to get hired works through an email you never have an interview. The applications you submit are through a website. Once you get hired, you clock in with an app, and you clock out as well. You get to see how much you earn for that assignment and at the end, you can review the location or providers. Jobs come in constantly from all over, and you can change the radius of the location you want. They only work with TCH (Texas Children's Hospital) As I mentioned at first it sounds good but as you work with them you see how the system is and they (Sandy Robledo) blame it on you when is the system having problems. I used to work with them and had to call customer service many times about complaints about the app. I one time canceled a job 4 days in advance, and then I get a call from Sandy Robledo who does not have people skills or a friendly voice to tell me the opposite. She said I canceled last minute that it was in the system and system did not lie. But they had many issues with their app and blamed it on me.
When you get hired, they never state that you have a limit on when you can cancel jobs. In my experience, the only thing that was mention to me was that they had many interpreters that would pick them up. She says she is an interpreter as well, but if that was the case, she would defend her interpreters. You do not get paid mileage nor emergency rate because jobs come in at different times. There is discrimination in interpreter pay. Interpreters for different languages get paid differently. For example, the same Spanish interpreters get paid $25 for a minimum of 1 hour after that it increases but not for much. ASL interpreters get paid double for a minimum of 2 hours. If you work with them, then I wish you the best, but there are better companies to work for that pay way more and are worth working with. I have worked with different ones and this is the first one that I felt discriminated and did not care about their interpreters they just care about the money they make makes sense if you see it that way but a company that does not take care of their interpreters is not working for because their the ones that make your company grow
My experience so far has been great with the new portal since its convenient as I am also a busy person and I only interpret from home. Review and increase pay for Swahili interpreters, they do a good job with all those clients calling in!! Sandy Robelo is incredible. I've worked with them for over 6 months now.
