It was my first time at the Festival this past weekend. Beautiful Gardens outside. Concession stands we're always packed so it was hard to get a drink during intermission. The performance itself was amazing. Went to see Music Man. I was super impressed during the entire production... Everything went so smoothly. I also felt like I had the Best seat from the balcony.

Thoroughly enjoy taking on a performance at the Festival Theatre. Aside from their world class shows, superb acting, and stellar performances, the Theatre itself is also great. Gardens are amazing, very picturesque! The buildings and grounds are well maintained so no real evidence of crowds of people in the building show after show after show. Located along the river makes it ideal to spend a day in the area not just the show times.

Stratford was originally the place name of the writer Shakespeare's hometown in the UK, and later established Stratford town in Ontario, Canada. Every summer, the theater has a variety of musicals, suitable for the family to watch.

I've seen a handful of plays and musicals at the Stratford Festival now and I have always been inspired by the shows. There is a lot of talent, hard work, and dedication in those shows and they always do a great job.

THE premiere place to see theatre in Canada. I grew up coming to Stratford every year with high school. The Shakespeare plays are always thought provoking and beautifully staged. The modern plays and musicals are fantastic and engaging. The casts and crews are professional and wonderful examples to young actors. And the setting - the Festival Theatre on the banks of the Avon River, the Avon Theatre in the heart of the small Ontario town of Stratford (take the time to dine, shop and explore) is priceless. It's a lovely experience for an afternoon or for a weekend. One of the mandatory experiences in Ontario.

My sister and I saw Julius Caesar. The costumes struck me first thing and the wardrobe was excellent throughout the play. All the actors were 5 Star reviews! I was overwhelmed at times of how large and wonderfully choreographed every scene and act was played out. Brava!!

beautiful architecture. One of the best buildings in town. I have watched several plays in there and they are really good. Props, actors/actresses are professionally done. The winterfest and Stratford summer music festival (not related to Stratford festival) are all happening in front of this building.

We attended the Stratford Festival's "The Music Man" and were blown away by the performance.
The performers were energetic and believable in the portrayal of their characters. The youth actors were as professional as the seasoned pros and could they sing! The music was lively and I am still singing the tunes after a week.
The theatre itself is wonderfully laid out with a stage that juts into the semi circular seats. This means that even sitting at the back, you feel close to the stage and the performers (including the leads) use the entire stage, so sitting to the side is not a problem as you will still feel the play is directed to you.
If you get a chance to see this performance, you should definitely go.

It's easily on par with the plays I've seen in Toronto. Each year there seems to be one play specifically for me. And when I see one it's 5 stars. Tommy and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe were fantastic.

love going here. I can see 6 plays in three day. I am amazed by how it works, set changes. If I am attending a shakepeare play, I would get ear phones or better seats. They do a great job with musicals as well. One of the theatre is difficult to go to for me, too many stairs.

We saw the Front Page. The Festival Theatre is not a good venue for this kind of play. We were on one side and missed most of the dialogue unless the actors were facing our direction. There were whole sections when the other side of the audience was laughing and there was dead silence on our side, so it's not just my hearing. Had this been done in a traditional theatre it would have worked much better.

The festival theatre is a great venue (tip: women's washroom on basement level are never busy). Second performance we've now taken in; the fabulous acting draws the viewer into the stories. You'll leave Stratford energized.

Seen To Kill A Mockingbird it was fantastic. As for the theatre itself however, seats were not comfortable and leg room was less than airplane space. Made it quite difficult to sit for almost 3 hours. Washrooms were in good repair and lots of them making intermission easily accessible, even the snack bar was pretty fast however MASSIVELY over priced, theatre was fairly warm and dry desperately needed water on break. *picture is seat at 4/P/33
