Perform a good quality performance. Musicals are fun and play is fun too. Every year the actors change a little bit and it is fun to check them. In the previous year, when the actor who played in the corner of the dance only sang and played supporting role this time, I decided to be proud of it. I am going to every season because of the high level of both the quality and the sound. If you like Shakespeare, it's a great festival.

Was at the Avon theatre to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The show was great. The seats are a little cramped for.my liking. I have long legs and they press against the backs of the chairs in front of me. The seats are otherwise comfy.bit is nice that they serve drinks in cups with lids. This allows you to bring them to your seats. Nice touch.

A fantastic place for a day or night out if you love live theater. Top notch productions of Shakespeare, Musicals, Classics and other fun stuff. A must see for theater fans visiting Ontario. Stratford is a beautiful small town with an abundance of Victorian architecture. There are some great restaurants as well.

A nice, quaint theatre. Worth a visit if you are a fan of Shakespeare's work. There is a cute little cafe on site with good coffee and massive cookies. Tasty

Staff are very friendly and theatre is clean if very dated. Highly recommended for the older crowd or anyone with an old soul!

As Playwright Circle members of Stratford Festival...

As Playwright Circle members of Stratford Festival, we have enjoyed performances for many, many years. This year is no exception in which we will be attending with family at least 5 productions over the term of the full season.
Our experience is that Stratford Festival has indeed been on an upward trajectory for decades as it consistently improves it's offerings and it's venues.
The caliber of performers who have graced the stages of the 4 theaters in Stratford, had been absolutely outstanding.
The depth and abilities of the performers is amazing as there is a core group of long standing and marvelously versatile actors who are surrounded each year with a diversity of both experienced and neophyte players who simply astound their audiences with superb performances.
The variety of offerings each year from Shakespearean tragedies to the latest Broadway musicals is truly a miracle in of itself as each offering that we have been privileged to attend has been marvelous.
The Festival itself compliments it's stage offerings with a variety of events from tours to one-on-one open mic discussions with Actors and Directors.
The theaters are located in the heart of Stratford and as such the amenities found within the city itself are in close proximity and well worthwhile from paddle boat rides on the Avon to a luxurious choice of restaurants and shopping venues.
It can be said with hesitation the "The Stratford Festival DELIVERS" in so many ways that it's success and benefit to those who attend as well as the City itself is literally no surprise.
The Festival is of the highest caliber of entertainment in Ontario if not Canada or, not to be too bold, ...............North America.
As members we feel privileged to attend and we thank all those within the Festival family who make it possible each year.......

The so called third stage at the Stratford Festival. Its much smaller than either the Avon, or the Festival Theaters, but this isn't a bad thing. Gives the play a much more intimate feel. However, seats are less comfortable, and the whole thing has a temporary feel. It seems to be combined with the Rec Center/Lawn Bowling/Badminton club. I suspect the theater itself is actually temporary. The building is very unique for a theater, it having a low barn like interior. It makes for a very unique theater experience. They were a bit nippy about no photos, a simple please would be fine, or you know, a sign of some sort. The play I saw, Measure for Measure was excellent.

Very nice theatre feels quite intimate in spite of a decent seating capacity. This may have to do with the seating that extends 180 degrees around the stage. The format gets you so close that they seem to need little or no sound reinforcement, although it can take some getting used to occasionally watching a scene from the back.

I also think highly of the 2016 performance of Macbeth I saw here.

I attended Billy Elliot at the Festival Theatre this afternoon. The cast had amazing energy and brought the story alive! I sat in the second row center orchestra and felt very grateful to have such a great seat. I captured what the stage looked like before the beginning of both Acts. I highly recommend Stratford Festival and especially Billy Elliot. It impressed me that so many cast members were so young and talented.

Regardless of show I've always found them well acted, the sound well balanced the theatres comfortable and the attendants friendly. I like that you can preorder snacks and drinks. The snacks and drinks are a little pricey. They also have free wifi.

5 plays in 3 days during Friday to Sunday left one somewhat exhausted. Othello left a number of things to be desired, while Nathan the Wise was excellent. Merry Wives of Windsor was well performed. The Front Page and Henry VIII were acceptable. In general there have been better performances in previous years.

I've been here numerous times over the past eight years and each play I've seen was fantastically performed. Even if you don't like Shakespeare, seeing one of his works in person is an entirely different experience than reading and dissecting it in a classroom.

To Kill a Mockingbird...an amazing production at the festival theatre. It was an honour to be part of the audience watching these incredible actors bring one of my favorite novels to life. $ well spent on the arts.

Actors kept smoking and as an allergic person with rhinitis I could not handle it. I had to leave theater. 2 of them could not stop smoking "herbs". Sad. You can tell a story without exaggerated smoking
