They are up to date on all of their advertising, promotions and training. The store I manage is at 96% occupied and we have been open for a little over 1 1/2 years! Let s talk about COVID! You should have heard the way they went over working through covid when it happened in March! What a disaster!!!! They had no idea what they were doing and you know when a company cares about employees or not when you have to go through a national pandemic with them. Laid some off, told some to drive miles away to a store to do a walk through twice a day, some sat home with their kids and worked from home, some had no responsibilities while property managers sat in their LOCKED offices with the lights OFF, no extra incentive for working during this madness when all governors said if we have capability to work from home then work from home(all stores can be run from home on tablets) all they wanted was more people put scrubbing and cleaning on the property-THIS IS NOT DOWNTIME IT IS A NATIONAL PANDEMIC!
If you leave, they ll retaliate and you can forget ALL of your earned commission because they aren t paying you for it! Good luck and good riddance!!! Would not recommend anyone to store any items at their facility after seeing some facilities FILTHY, overpriced, moldy, musty, leaking outside units, old and ugly! And absolutely would not recommend anyone work for any storage facility managed by SAM or you re just asking to be miserable... just my personal experience, and a few others....
I hired SAM to run my stores about 18 months ago. Best business decision I've every made. They excel in many ways, from keeping my expenses in line to generating great traffic through digital advertising. However, to me the most important is the tremendous service and value they provide our customers.
Dont waste your time choosing them for your management needs. The whole company has no idea what they are doing. You have people who think Gmail and Google Mail are two different things. They treat you like a number and thats all you are and they are very nasty and unprofessional. The president of the company is even incompetent and will throw his jobs onto you and clearly has no customer service background whatsoever. Its a highschool environment at every property they manage. Do your reasearch and save a headache by storing with privately owned companies.
