I really tried to make this program work. It felt like i was under suspision and had my room tossed 4 times in 60 days. While house searches occoured all clients had to remain in the basement 5 to 7 hours when we very well could had been isolated outside where it was plus 25 and sunny.

The staff were text book trained with zero personal experience with addiction. Staff threatened to have me discharged if my urine samples didnt clear up by a certain time. This only showed me that staff had very little knowledge of drug detection times. Benzos can be detectable for up to 30 days. To threaten to discharge me after 2 weeks isnt being very realistic about detection times. It seemed that staff needed some training on drug detection times.

There was an aledged smell of smoke in one of the houses so staff implemented a smoking bans. No smoking after meals and lengthy times between smoke breaks. This added to my struggle dealing with opiate addiction. I wasnt there to smoke less. I was there to quit heroin.

Staff were told to walk the property looking for smoking violators so they could be punished with community consequences. None of the staff smoke. Some first hand experience could had been useful in this situation for the smokers Similarily the kind of experience that is needed to have a good understanding about addictions and what they are dealing with. Stonehenge felt like i was in jail but i wasnt so i self discharged after a 60 day stay.
I dont have much money. Stonehenge had it in their safe. but rather then refund me all the money i had to my name they insisted they send my money through the mail. Its been 10 days and they still havent sent me my money. Thanks Stonehenge you have been a big help. I continue the fight.

This program saved my life. If you are serious about recovering then this program may be the right fit for you. I've been to many treatment programs with little success. This program helped me get to the 'whys' of my addiction, helped me change my behaviours and helped me deal with some deep rooted issues. I have been clean over 2 1/2 years now. Stonehenge staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and patient. I highly recommend this program.

Not for Mental Health issues and unless you ve been in Jail or the Military something with a really structured environment brace yourself The so Called professionals there weren t or didn t seem to have a good grasp on mental health or how to handle some cases the majority of clients while I was there came from a prison atmosphere and were accustomed to strict routines where as I was alone and with very little supervision or responsibilities for 10 years prior to going there so do your homework or research before attending

Its a treatment centre thats run by staff that are still in highschool and the inmates on parole don't fancy the normal non convicted addict on a health bed. They discharge people on the last day and very simple solutions are made into complex situations that nobody deals with. Hurry up and wait. Just go to Homewood or Windsor and save your time. I did the program twice and its ridiculous now. They truly sell the place on looks but the addict suffers at the end of the day with the centre's programming and lack of lived experience or any beneficial help.

I literally just left there I gave it a fair go stayed 3 months and it just kept declining the staff consistently is changing so u cannot build any trust and honestly the place is just not worth the bed away from ur love ones it's got potential but honestly if anyone is considering it you should probably wait until it has all it's ducks in a row cause right now it plainly just sucks

My experience:

My experience:
I heard a lot of great things about them and their programs, until they refused my application on sole basis of my mental health disabilities.
Now ongoing lawsuit via Ontario Human Rights Tribunal ,they are blaming anyone and everyone else but themselves, intentionally stalling and refusing accountability despite already exposed via factual evidence.
Insult to injury I've been struggling with a newly diagnosed illness of post traumatic stress as a contributory result of them prolonging their account stability. I'm forced to relive their torture harassment on a daily basis.
Taking advantage of my position of being a grossly disproportionately marginalized population.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. It did me more harm than good. It's a "cookie cutter" approach to wellness ( if you could call it that ). Apparently one size fits all. It doesn't matter where you are in your personal recovery. The ongoing addict is treated and given the EXACT same schedule as the one who's been sober for 3 years. I remember being sleep deprived, nutrition deprived and constantly either cooking or cleaning or doing yard work. IT'S A SLAVE LABOUR CAMP FOR WOMEN. And this pic that they posted, where did it come from??? Certainly NOT from the women's side.
