Quite possibly the best restaurant experience I've ever had. This past Friday we traveled to SCI for a very special once in a lifetime family gathering. We showed up not realizing they were shut down temporarily for lunch service due to the new Oregon mandate. SCI management and staff realized our situation and went above and beyond to ensure we had a place to meet instead of making us scramble for a new place. I cannot express the gratitude for what they did for us. Beautiful views and fantastic food. Thank you again to the SCI family, we will be forever grateful!
Dinner was amazing. The Salmon Oscar special was spectacular. The views and atmosphere are stunning. Brendan was one of the most gracious waiters with an amazing attitude and made us feel very special while celebrating our 33rd Anniversary!!!
We made a reservation for 8:15 pm, for they said this was only available. We arrived way early, for there were virtually no cars in lot. I called to see if I could get in early, and the person on the other end yelled at me and said a flat out "No", so my wife and hung around until 8:10 pm, then we went in, and still, we waited another 15 minutes to be seated. The staff were rude and arrogant. We told the staff it was our birthday and wedding anniversary, but they said, "So". The 10 minutes later, they were, the staff, singing Happy Birthday to a guy and wife who were customers. When then received our food at 8:50 pm, and because the restaurant closes at 9:00 pm, we had to chow down our food real fast to be out of restaurant at 9:15 pm. Beautiful place, but restaurant expensive, food and drinks so so, staff rude, and they really need lessons on how to care for customers. Our waiter only visited our table twice. To drop food off and give us a check. They will spot you. Unless you dress nice, drive a fancy car, and if your not wealthy, forget it, they will ignore you and make you seriously feel like poor trash. I do not recommend this restaurant. You have to be upper class, and the will recognize who is and is not. I gave our waiter a $30.00 tip anyway, and his response was, "I deserve it". I guess I came in on the wrong night. Experience horrible.
Beautiful views and excellent food! Honestly, you can't beat the scenery here, but I didn't expect the food to be so delicious as well...The braised pork shank was to die for. Our server Jerred was hilarious. Can't wait to come back in the summertime to enjoy the patio.
Great food, amazing view down the river. They ve got great kids Menu too. So perfect to have a delicious lunch with the family. You can also have a small hike thru the Forrest and Boulder rocks, great location where part of the movie Twilight was filmed.
Service was good, everyone enjoyed their meals. My only complaint is for a restaurant where the view is a key selling point, the outside seating if not very comfortable. Metal seats without any padding.
This is quite an extraordinary setting for a restaurant. The views and the setting and the atmosphere will make it a lovely experience no matter if your food order isn't quite as spectacular. Try the seafood (salmon) chowder, its pretty good. The roasted vegetable (carrots) side/appetizer is very good. The entrees on several tries have off standard.
Great place with great view. Food is medium/high end but reasonably priced for being so. My wife and I celebrated her birthday here with a 1 year old and was perfect. We will be back (often)
Beautiful area! We didn't actually go into the inn, we just went (on a friend's recommendation) to experience the rocks, trees, river, and general gorgeousness of the place. What an amazing gem hidden away within 15-20 minutes of the city! It's free, beautiful and friendly (as long as you go when it's not busy)...
