These guys took very good care of me first time buyer and I didn't feel any pressure at all. Some dealerships would play hard and ask "if you want my truck than you will pay this." Let me assure you that this dealership isn't about that. I never thought no would drive a Volkswagen but whew. I love it. I would recommend to at least come and see what they have in stock.

Had a really great experience with buying my car here. I drove over three hours, so most of the deal was made over the phone. I worked with Kelvin who was a straight shooter salesmen and held his word with everything. It s a shame they are so far away because I would recommend everyone to go see him if they were looking for a vw.

Eric Nuhuls just blew us away with his friendliness, helpfulness and product knowledge. We showed up late at night, just as the dealership was closing, and he was happy to allow us to take a test drive and answer all our questions. It was primarily due to his professionalism that we chose to buy a VW product and not a Mercedes or BMW. Keep up the great work!

Mr. Ngyuyen was our first contact after an initial...

Mr. Ngyuyen was our first contact after an initial test drive in August. The test drive was fine and his car knowledge was good, although he was pushy on comparing the cons of two other cars we were considering at the time. He followed up right away (which was good) via email, but he did not respond to any of our emails (just a few with simple questions). He actually emailed us two more times, but never in response to my questions. Eventually he didn't respond at all, and we were finally contacted by Mr. Schaub who had taken over his accounts. Mr. Ngyuyen had apparently moved to another state and didn't let us know our account would be moved. Mr. Ngyugen's performance is our only complaint about Stohlman Subaru, and because he is no longer an employee, the ratings are based on our experience after his departure.

Mr. Schaub was excellent with our email questions and, through the USAA buyer's program, immediately sent an offer for an in-stock 2013 BRZ. When we finally were able to come in for a second test drive, he had a lot on his plate that week and, checking with us first, moved our account over to Mr. Calvert. We very much appreciated that he wanted our experience to be smooth. Mr. Calvert was very honest about his thoughts on the car and we felt at ease during the whole process. He gave us an offer on the overstocked BRZs that fell inside our budget and was able work in our trade-in at the Carmax appraised value. He explained that older manual cars are very hard to move off the lot and originall offered less than the Carmax value. His management agreed to the Carmax value, which sealed the deal for our purchase. We were in the dealership near closing time, so Mr. Calvert suggested we finish the paperwork on a day of our convenience so the process would be smooth. Although we wanted to drive home with a new car, we appreciated that he did not want to rush the paperwork/car cleaning/trade-in process at the end of the day. He set up the pre-paperwork before we left.

The next day we the car was ready for us when we arrived and while the paperwork was started in the business office, Mr. Calvert showed us the finer points of the car. We were then transitioned to Mr. Kamal who had us out of his office and in our new car within 45 minutes, if that. He was quick and efficient so the experience was a pleasant one. After the paperwork was signed, Mr. Calvert helped us sync our bluetooth phones and set up the navigation system. A few handshakes later, we drove off the lot feeling very happy with the whole process.

We had a wonderful experience at Stohlman Subaru. The staff was friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome. We didn't get the feeling that we were being pressured to buy anything we were not interested in, which seems rare at car dealerships. We would definitely recommend Stohlman to future Subaru owners.

[EDIT: Other thoughts - The showroom, offices, and restrooms were very clean. We felt very comfortable while in the dearlship. Also, every time we came in to speak with a representative, they immediately offered us delicious, delicious bottled water.]

If you are not a very good haggler. Do not come here or you will be over-paying by atleast a $1500. I shopped around between all of the subaru dealers within a 100 miles from D.C. and these guys were by far the worse on price and sales service.

Purchased a vehicle with Sam Estaniss on 12/28/19. It was a great experience from the door. He was so helpful showing all the vehicles that were of interest. Gave me all the details and assisted with the best possible deal for the price range that I wanted. This was an excellent service and the best car buying experience. Sam and all of the Stohlman VW of Tyson's corner team were beyond helpful and accommodating with all requests. Found my new favorite car dealership. Thank you Stohlman VW and thank you Sam!

After two nightmare experiences with other dealers...

After two nightmare experiences with other dealers which nearly made us swear off Volkswagen for life, Stohlman was wonderful.

Tabish called and emailed us within minutes of submitting through Truecar. In one phone call he gave us a final price out the door, and validated that he could probably match a CarMax offer for our old vehicle. He checked with Steven and validated the price.

They stayed open late to sell us the car. Honored the CarMax price without hesitation over they were able to check out the vehicle. Anson in financing was a pleasure to work with.

It was a straightforward, fast and honest experience.

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience and the service we received!

I m a repeat customer, let me tell you why: this is not an ordinary dealership. They specialize in customer service, not just getting you a good deal. They make you comfortable and they actually listen to you. No pushiness and caveman sales tactics. I worked with Sam (salesmen) and Greg (finance). This dynamic duo got me into my new car without a sweat. The hardest part of the deal was moving my child seat from old backseat to the new backseat.

Thanks Sam and Greg for taking care of me. Highly reccomend Stohlhman for your next car.

Recently purchased a GTI from Stohlman. This was my first new car and despite doing weeks of research I was a little apprehensive at the thought of doing the new car dance. You know, the "let me check with my manager" or "the floormats cost extra" kinda stuff.

I was the first customer there on a Friday and was assisted by Steven Kappler. He came across as a genuine car enthusiast and is even active on some of the VW forums. Steven was very pleasant to deal with and I never felt pressured.

Everything took about two hours from start to finish and it was about as painless as I think buying new car could be. I feel like I got a decent deal and they sold a car.

My only real complaint is that I felt a little rushed at financing. I wanted to look ever each document before signing and everything just felt frantic.

Aside from that I have no complaints and the whole process was BS-free. Their prices are also some of the lowest in the DC area so it seemed like a logical place to start my search. I'd recommend putting them on your list if you're in the market for a Volkswagen.

I have an affected VW Jetta TDI and went into the dealership 1) for my last oil change before selling the car back to VW under the buyback, and 2) to talk to sales staff about model options / incentives they might have for current TDI owners to buy a replacement VW.

Sales experience: I stood around inside for 10-15 minutes without anyone asking if I needed help. And yes, there were sales staff available, standing around clearly gabbing with co-workers. That said, after I got fed up and went to interrupt someone and ask for assistance, the gentleman they directed me to, Alan Soon, was VERY helpful, considerate, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend IF you insist on going to this dealership to look into new vehicles that you talk to Alan. Would give him a 5 star rating for professionalism and overall personality.

Service experience: Dealership refused to accept my oil change coupon... I'm from out-of-state and have used the same coupon (get this coupon routinely in the mail) 6-7 times before at other dealers who always honor the coupon. This dealer refused, meaning that my oil change cost me $90 instead of $50. Inconsiderate service staff. Also, a simple oil change took 2+ hours, despite the fact that I had made an appointment...

I've loved my Jetta TDI since day 1. And in fact, this is my third Jetta that I've owned in my life. But, consistently poor experiences dealing with the company (other stories) and then my poor experience at Stohlman VW sealed the decision for me.... my Jetta TDI will be the last VW that I own.

I was a prior client of this dealership and having a good purchase experience on the first deal I had with them I decided to give them my business once again. I walked into the dealership late and requested the Greeting lady for a new sales associate. As soon as I saw SAM ESTANISS I knew he was the man!! He seemed pretty quiet and very enthusiast about meeting me and go over my expectations on the brand new car I was about to purchase.The process was very quick and negotiation took very short since he was focused on trying to understand my needs and meet the pricing budget I had on mind from the beginning.

The car was not at the dealership but he promised me that they will bring the vehicle form their lot couple minutes away. They brought the vehicle quick and the vehicle was clean and shiny. We had a chance to see the options the vehicle had, then decided that this vehicle was a good fit for us. This was a 2019 VW Jetta R-Line with white exterior and Double colored seats Black and Gray (Amazing!!).

To be honest Sam, our sales person, managed to get the right number with the Sales Manager on the first time. It took only 15 minutes of negotiation without the stressful back and forward that you get into the regular dealerships ( We all know it takes hours before we get to see a number). Sam was the exception as I said it took a few minutes to get to the right number. So the numbers were in now, and as usual we shake hands and move to finance.

Even though our credit was good but not excellent to qualify for the best interest rate, Sam had managed already to make sure the finance managers and Lorenzo, the Sales Manager work together to try to get me a better financing so my payments get lowered. It also took less than half hour to get a quick answer and a YES!! that they were pretty sure that we would get a lower rate YES they did. The numbers came back even better than what we were quoted at the beginning!

Everything went great, from testing the vehicle, to negotiating a price with Sam, the Sales Manager and also the last part of getting the proper financing and a lower rate than the one we were quoted.

So if you are in for a VW, this is the dealer you need to go to if you want the best deal ever. It's been 3 days that I have my vehicle and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the turbo on my vehicle which makes me run quite a bit fast anytime I need it.

Sam even gave me a gift, a VW original brand key chain which looks pretty sharp. So I would like to thank the folks at this dealership and promise to bring my business again.

I had an amazing experience buying my Jetta SLE 2019, my salesman was Nikolay Tomov, who made the process smooth, fast and reliable. We worked together with my budget and he showed me all the options I could have. He showed me all the cars I wanted to see, until I made my final decision. Had a great experience with this dealership on Saturday April 13th. The sales manager went above and beyond and handled our business hisself. Kelvin done a fantastic job!!! Had to go back on Monday April 15th for a few things and he made sure he was there and handled it all himmslef. They were nice at first and told us at the financing they will beat our Federal Credit Union Rates. They gave us great discounts. After hours of waiting and credit check (we had scores over 750+) dropping our scores and damaging, they gave us double rates. It was so bad that we had to walk out. They do that look like, they give you good discount just to charge more with their financing. When you ask them to go with your own financing, they add 3-4 thousand back on the car. There is no way for you to buy the car with honest terms. Do not go there without knowing the rates, what you can get with your own financing and always ask the pricing if you chose to proceed with your own financing vs. to VW financing...

I found a nice car for a fair prize at Stohlman. When we discussed what I would change, they found a car with all the features I wanted and organized to get it from the other dealer. No extra cost for that transport.
They got everything ready and the pickup was done quickly after I flew in. Tom even picked me up at the airport and since they knew I ll be driving 8 h home, I got a full tank of gas too.

I can recommend Stohlman for new vehicle sales.

Changing my review despite the deal didn t work out - Jeff was a great sales person to interact with! I noticed how they re focused to give their customers good experience.

Cons: Not the Stohlman but the VW finance team - Just to get an APR quote on financing, a hard pull on my Credit was made (against my authorization), and that dropped my Credit score by 5 points. A month later I get rejected while my other friends with worse situations than me get Audi financed for 2.9%.

*1 star rating for unauthorized credit pull for the finance team who weren t doing their job well.

I'm here writing a review as someone who did not buy a car from Alan Soon or Stohlman Automotive. I hope that is a telling fact for anyone reading this because it is something that would catch my eye were I still on the market. I, for one, am used to having a salesperson tell me whatever they have to in order to close a sale. Alan took the team to lead me through the options for the cars he thought I'd be interested in. He even suggested that I might prefer something from a nearby lot, and, ultimately, I did test drive the right car with him. And then I ended up buying a used version of that car.

Alan did right by my family and I, and I can tell you that if I end up looking at cars again in the future that Stohlman (or, honestly, wherever Alan works) will be my first stop.

I've been meaning to write Stephan a great review for some time now - I've had my car for about 3.5 months and still love it and think I made the best purchase.

Stephen did a great job comparing the Subaru Forester (2.5i Premium with AWP) to the other cars I was looking at (RAV4, CRV, and CX-5) and helped make my decision easier. He was very easy to work with and got me exactly what I was looking for! When it is time for my brother to buy a car, we will certainly be back!

i bought my car from the subaru side of this dealership a few years ago and come here for regular maintenance. the staff is generally pretty friendly and the service isn't bad. reasonably priced (i always find a coupon before going in though), wait times aren't too bad (they have a nice lounge with wifi), and i've never had any problem with the work they've done on my car.

Worst dealership !!! I m looking for a white 2016 VW Jetta. I went to there yesterday with my friend. First of all, they tried to sell us a test drive car which is almost 150miles, we asked them to get a new car for me, but the salesman told us he did not have time to get it and that is the only car I can buy from them, but just 5 min ago he told his manager they have two Jetta. than they agree to get the new Jetta , at that time we think they are waste our time and we want to go to other dealership, So we told them we gonna leave and we will come back tomorrow. after we going out the manager (I think his name is Norris ) followed us and told us get out of there . I m a international student, I don t know how they treat to other customer. I would not come back again. They are suck.

I have nothing but good things to say about Stohlman Volkswagen they treated me respectfully, were well educated on the cars they were selling, and did whatever they could in order to get you in the car you wanted. I first went to Stohlmans to browse seeing how they had the best selection of TDI model Jettas also that most competitive pricing. As soon as I walked in I met with Tabish the salesman (cool and made me feel comfortable) he instantly took me for a test drive in one of the Jettas I was looking at which I liked that it was introduction and straight to a test drive. He gave a good sales pitch on the car, some history of stohlmans, and had general conversation. The test drive route is perfect it gives you a good taste of the handling of the vehicle, the pickup, and braking. When we got back he asked me about the car and my thoughts on purchasing a vehicle today or was I just browsing. I asked to see another car and he went off to pull it around although it was the same car he asked if I wanted to test drive it also. When we got back we sat in his office looking at other cars in my price range and he offered me bottle water as well. They didn t force me to buy anything and we re completely okay with me leaving with information they gave me. I ended up purchasing one of those jettas for the best price and they were willing to fix up the few little things I picked out on the car no questions asked. The manager Kevin was great and quick with answers to any question I had. Overall I had a great car buying experience and hope that you pick Stohlmans Volkswagen for your next car.

AMAZING sales experience! Bill helped me buy the 2018 Tiguan SE on 1/27. I had so many bad experiences at other VW dealers but the level of service at Stohlman s is superior! They gave me the best value for my trade and sold the car at a fair price! Bill promised he wouldn t waste my time and he delivered. The finance manager and general manager were great too! If you want/need a new VW, I recommend making Stolhman s your FIRST stop!

The experience with the sales manager was so horrible, I had to write a review.

I came in with my family to see a car that was posted on cargurus for over 3 months. Once there, the salesman (who was extremely nice and unfortunately, he never gave us a card) said the car was not there and he was unsure why. We decided to drive another and were very pleased with it.

After we decided we could not get the car we drove for the price we wanted, we asked about if he could find out where the car we wanted was. He went to ask the manager and came back with the walk out price for the car, plus the explanation that the car was being used as a loaner.

We asked the sales manager to come and talk to us about it and he came over with an attitude like it was so much to ask for him to come out of his office. He stated that the car was given to a customer as a loaner because their car was having a tire replaced. He did not understand what our problem with this was. He was very defensive and talked to us like we were idiots.

The car was presented online as available and he said that it was, but if it is BEING USED BY SOMEONE ELSE, it is not available. So who knows how many miles are being put on the car, what condition the car will come back in; exterior and interior. Oh, but according to him we need to test drive it to know. Take it off the website because it is not available and make sure you update the condition and how many miles are on the car once it's returned (which is who knows when).

They're completely misleading and the sales manager was so insulting. I don't think he thought he'd come up to people that would question him. Customer service means nothing to him. Also, a charge for shipping for a car that's already there on the lot??

I feel so bad that we could not purchase the car from the salesman because he was extremely nice and patient with us.

they did the right thing by me, the first shop I took my car into for safety and emission said I would need to pay over $3300 to fix breaks tires and made up 2 other problems. VW checked it out, said they didn't see the other 2 problems alleged by the repair shop and came back with a total of just over $1500 to get it back on the road ready. thanks!

Honestly, I though this review wasn't going to turn out to be positive, but the used car manager, Jonothan, turned that around.

I bought a 2014 VW Tiguan (82k miles, 1 owner) at a competitive price. Was convinced by financing to add 3 year powertrain warranty, though it seemed excessive given condition of car. Less than 1 month after purchase, I started having transmission issues. To make a long story short, they told me that it could be the transmission-coolant line leak ($800 fix) or the transmission could already be bad--but they wouldn't know until the coolant line was fixed and this $800 service was not covered by the warranty. And because it was still within the first 30 days of purchasing the car, the powertrain warranty would not cover issues if it were in-fact the transmission.

I was obviously frustrated to have purchased a fairly new car only to find that it needed $800 of repairs within the first month. Additionally, I had planned on cancelling the warranty within the 30 day period, but now given this issue I was too hesitant (meaning I would have to keep the $3k financed that I had not planned on going into dealer). Expressing this to Jonothan, they tested the vehicle, replaced the coolant line (at no cost!), and were able to determine that it was this and not the actual transmission. I am extremely grateful that they made this right by covering the repair that should not have occurred so shortly after car purchase. Would consider purchasing again.

Stohlman is by far, the best VW dealership that I have ever worked with.

My wife and I have a 2012 VW GTi, and were having a big problem where the car would not re-start while hot (i.e. filling up for gas on a road trip). Over the holidays, we took a trip down to FL and had the car strand us 4 times. Over a one week period, the car saw three different dealers across the US and none of them could diagnose the issue.

I contacted Stohlman on my return, and lined up an appointment with Jack. I arrived on time, and was quickly processed and added into the system. Jack and I talked for a few minutes, and not only did he listen to the symptoms of the issue I was having, he was extremely knowledgable about what the issue could be. They gave me a loaner, and I was on my way.

John, the shop foreman, and his team made quick work of the repair, and Jack kept me up to date on everything that was happening with the car. At any rate, most dealerships are not well known for their level of service, but Stohlman completely changes this. Not only will this be the only dealership I visit for my service needs now that I'm out of warranty, but it will very likely be the place I buy my next car when the time comes.

Thanks for all of the hard work, and for actually giving a hoot. You all rock!

The employees are very nice and accommodative. It's very easy to book an appointment or tracking your past services through their website.

Took my car here for a major oil leak repair and oil change... spoke to service advisor David... really bad service received, lack of knowledge and unprofessional, I informed him that I have a oil catch can kit installed on the car and ask him to inform the mechanic to clean out the oil catch, he said he did but it was not done. All the salesmen were respectful and were able to get me the car I wanted in the color I wanted at the price I wanted; can t get better than that. They also sat with me and walked me through every feature of the vehicle and what all the buttons do and how to change certain settings. Strongly recommend this dealership vice other ones I ve been to.

I went in to buy a new car, and they presented me with a great used/demo car instead. With just 5k miles and a 5-year warranty, this was a great way to save $10k. At many dealers the new and used cars are separate teams who don t talk to each other. At Stohlman it was nice to have one person present me with all the options. This is now my third Stohlman car purchase.

Sultan Ahmed was awesome!! He was very responsive to every question we had and he went out of his way to make sure we had a smooth car buying experience. We drove over 4 hours to buy our car and had no surprises when we arrived. He assured us that we would be very happy and get the deal we had negotiated. The other staff we interacted with at Stohlman's were also informative and easy to deal with. At no point did we feel pressured to purchase anything we did not want. I am 49 yrs old and have bought about 10 cars in my lifetime and I can say without a doubt that this was the best experience. I will be back to buy more cars from them. Ask for Sultan Ahmed!!!!!!!!

Went to look at 97 Jeep Wrangler on Monday 23 Sep ...

Went to look at 97 Jeep Wrangler on Monday 23 Sep 13. It had VA rejection sticker on the window. The Salesman, Julio R. told me it could not be sold until it passed inspection and that he would call me on Weds (he was off Tues) as soon as it was ready for sale. If it wasn't ready for sale, why was it listed on several web sites. No phone call Weds form Julio. I called Thursday and was told it was at the gas station being inspected. When I asked which one, he did not know. He called me back and said that he was wrong and that the Jeep was in their shop. I received an email Friday from Eliseo, one of the used car managers. He asked why I did not purchase the Jeep. I told him it was priced a little high for a 97 that had yet to pass inspection. He responded with a very fair price and stated that the Jeep would be inspected that day. I called Julio later in the afternoon and asked if the Jeep had been inspected. He said no, but he would call me as soon as it had. I called Sat AM and asked Julio about the Jeep's status. He said he would go and check, and call me back. He did eventually and notified me that the Jeep had been sold that morning.
I posted a review on their site and the GM stated that they had sold it because a customer had offered their asking price.
Advice to all who are looking to purchase used vehicles. Craigslist. You will get much better prices and not have to deal with incompetent/unscrupulous salesmen.

After looking around for a 2016 GTI, we didn't find many VW dealers that would even consider making a deal with us - let alone giving us a transparent price.
That's when I got in touch with Nick, the sales manager from Stohlman. He was very friendly, and straight away agreed to find us the car we wanted for our desired price - no additional or hidden fees on top!
He then made every effort to make sure that he could get hold of the exact car I was looking for!

Once the vehicle was located, he passed us over to Javan Jackson to complete the sale.
Having visited a fair few car dealers, we've met with plenty of salesman, and Javan is by far the best we have ever come across!
Not only is he excellent at his job, and willing to work with the customer to meet their every need, but he goes above and beyond the duties of a salesman.
Javan is so personable and friendly, it made our sale a great experience, along with every visit we have since made to Stohlman.
Whenever we have to return for servicing or anything, we always get a warm welcome from Javan and he always goes out of the way to ensure that we are taken care of, whether it's finding us a loaner car for the day, or just making us comfortable as we wait.

I could not recommend Javan, Nick, and Stohlman enough - I will definitely be returning for all of my future needs.

At first contact with Steven I knew he was a genuine professional. Like other reviews have said truly great things about their experience. Process was smooth and no surprises.

I set an appointment to pick up the car and still waited 2 hours to be seen which defeats the purpose of an appointment. I also left my EZ Pass in the car I turned in, when I went to retrieve it from the dealership the following week they said the car was gone and offered no way to retrieve it. That cost me an extra $100 for the lost transponder fee, the fee for buying a new transponder and the expedited fee for getting it within a week since the DC area is ALL toll roads. Go somewhere else if you care about customer service.

This was my second Subaru purchased at Stohlman Subaru. I selected Stohlman for my first purchase because of the location in Tyson's Corner and I could get a ride to my office when the car was serviced - it was very convenient. Because of my overall satisfaction with the company in all aspects, I returned to them to purchase my newest Subaru, a 2014 XV Crosstrek even though I no longer work in Tyson's. I worked with Carroll Prince for both purchases, it was easy, pleasant and I know I can call him or drop by to see him if I have any followup questions. We selected a car, it was prepped, and before I knew it, I was on my way. I can recommend their professionalism in both sales and service.

Recently purchased a Forester from Stolman's in Tyson's Corner. We had been shopping around for a while and knew exactly what we wanted. We had gotten into some pretty serious negotiations with a few other dealerships but had to walk away because they just weren't budging on price and would not throw in any extras. Not even floor mats...FLOOR MATS?!? Are you kidding, that's what you're supposed to get for free. When we found a vehicle at Stolman's we emailed and coordinated a time to test-drive. We were only able to visit at a specific date/time, and Kelvin came in on his day off to show us the Forester. He was very honest on the phone and in person. The car was immaculate and he threw in all kinds of extras, including floor mats which we didn't even ask for. After the test drive and working with Kelvin, we were passed to Anson the finances/title/license guy and that was just as smooth. Anson got everything processed in the time promised and continued communication the whole way through. Stolman's was a breeze. So helpful, low pressure, very accommodating. Thanks for the great service!

We were looking for an Outback for my wife and knew exactly what we wanted down to color and accessories. We also knew the price we wanted and knew it could be met. With the scarcity of Outbacks due to their.. .well, being just dang awesome, we decided to order. The main catch was that we had very little time and didn't want a "car sales" experience. The first dealer we went to (and had every intention of buying from) played with pricing, treated us like imbeciles, and didn't back their promise. We called around, visited a couple other dealers and only Al met our needs. We asked for no pitches, playing around, sales calls or messages... just meet our needs and the sale is done.

He did exactly that. Al was very easy to work with, treated my wife properly, offered options without pushing us and made the process nice. It seems no one really enjoys dealing with the car buying process, but this experience changed my mind about how car buying can be. I definitely recommend working with Al! And ... for buyers out there... I recommend NOT treating Al like a "salesperson" because he will treat you like a professional and deserves the same.

Purchased a car that was damaged in final prep and had significant issues getting the dealer to register it. The damage was hidden from me. Reached out to multiple leaders at the dealership with no feedback or resolution. By then the temp plates expired and had to go to VW corporate for assistance. Overall, the price was good but this dealership is just interested in sales - not quality or customer service.
EDIT: after this review (and comment from Stohlman), I contacted the VP of Sales Jaime Dent again. While she disregarded my contacts at the time of purchase 4 months ago, this time the Sales Manager called me and we worked out a ~$300 accessory for the ~$800 damage. Seems more fair now but would still be hesitant if your car isn't perfect.

We had an excellent first rate experience at Stohlman VW dealership in Tyson s Corner VA from start to finish in purchasing our used 2017 VW Golf. The dealership and sales agent Paul Turk were very professional and highly knowledgeable about the car and took the time necessary to explain all the features and demo the car. There was no pressure and they provided a great price which we agreed to almost immediately ! The car was very clean and exactly as represented on line ! I highly recommend dealing with Stohlman VW and be sure to ask for Paul Turk - simply the best !!

I got the quotation and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived at their store, they told me they already sold out the car we talked about and tried to sell me other cars. They seem to be sorry and pretend to fix the problem. But I have to say it is still a very bad experience.

My 2012 VW Golf TDI DSG was due for 40k service which is the major one. I just stopped by at Stohlman VW and George Mysel (service advisor) was very straightforward and gave very reasonable quote for the service showing total price according maintenance book without adding extra unnessesary services. No "free" manicure or haircut. Maintenance Service - this is what I came for. I checked with other dealerships in the area and their quotes were almost or more than $300 higher than Stohlman VW's quote. Officially it takes 3-4 hours to finish 40k service. For my great surprise, they finished service an hour earlier and George called me about that. My bill was around $550, even lower than quoted, so that called expensive 40k service was in a very reasonable price range considering in general just for DSG transmission oil change itself at any other dealership costs around $400 . So my point is if you are doing service for your VW it is definitely worth checking with Stohlman VW. Thank you George and Stohlman service team!

Tabish and Kelvin were amazing. I was purchasing from out of town based on the great price that they had on a used JSW. They really made this the best car buying experience I ve ever had. Tabish gave me an honest description of the car so that when I drove 5 hours to pick it up, there were no surprises and we had already agreed upon a price. Everything was ready for me so that I was able to get in and out quickly. Buy here, and buy from Tabish. He really went out of his way to honestly describe the vehicle and I can t ask for more than utter honesty during a vehicle purchase.

Thanks to Stohlman Subaru and especially to Alan Soon, my Sales Representative. I previously purchased vehicles at Stohlman and completely trust and respect the dealership. Alan reinforced that in ways I have come to expect from that family. Alan was not aggressive. Instead, he was factual and informative with his self-deprecating sense of humor. We dealt comfortably over the phone via text and calls, by email and in person over a period of about 6 months. He was always available and responsive even after his work hours. I would call this service above and beyond the call of duty. We came to an agreement on a fantastic 2017 Subaru Forrester. He got me top trade in value for my old car, and a low price on the Premium model Forrester. I actually like driving the Forrester better than my 2015 C300 Mercedes Benz. It is comfortable and handles well. It has plenty of power. I especially like the driving position. The steering wheel comes out further than most cars, and provides for easy reach without having to move the seat up close where your knees are under the dash. Again, simple but better than my Benz. The Forrester handles better around curves with my lead foot than do many smaller vehicles. The space inside is luxurious and we tested it out on a long trip with my in-laws who were comfortable on the long journey. Lots of storage space too. The road noise in not pronounced as some of the consumer reports had indicated. It is a quiet, smooth ride. We also love the sun roof, that is so big (extends from front to back seat) that it is almost like having a convertible except without the wind and noise. Meisha in finance and Al at delivery were superb. We spent less than 2 hours in the dealership for actual delivery. Thanks for everything.
