We had a great experience buying a new Volkswagen from Alan Soon at Stohlman Volkswagen.

We were referred to Alan through a USAA Car Buying Service inquiry. We were lucky to end up working with Alan, as he provided us with excellent service.

Alan is straightforward, earnest, honest, and applies a very low-pressure sales approach. His desire to help potential customers make the best purchase to meet their needs comes across as incredibly sincere. At no point in our shopping experience did we feel pressured to buy from Stohlman or make a quick decision. Alan gave us all the time and space we needed to make our buying decisions, handled our questions and negotiations gracefully, and was a good advocate in helping us work with managers at the dealership to get to a place where we were ready to buy. Alan made the experience as efficient as possible while also making sure to be thorough and ensure our purchasing decisions were well informed.

Once we purchased, Alan was great about making sure our car was prepped for us to take home, filled with gas, and that we were oriented on all its features.

Our observations were that everyone at Stohlman was exceptionally professional and respectful, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend working with Alan for your purchase or lease.

I came into the dealership to test drive a car. Sales person Sam E. Took his time, did not pressure me. I was a client with several unique situations. He was able to go above and beyond for me. I highly recommend Sam at Stohlman for your next vehicle. He is a very down to earth salesman. You can tell he actually cares about his customers. I have a great experience with the Stohlman Automotive family.

We drove for 10 hours round-trip (NC-VA), got our beautiful VW Golf and came back on Sunday morning at 2 a.m. Would I do it again? Yes, in a heart beat, because of the experience and value we got from Stohlman Automotive Family staff. I never did a review on car dealers until now, they are more like a tech company with customer care you can expect from Apple and Google.

It s an under statement, what they say: We vow to strengthen customer relationships with each and every contact and to make owning a Volkswagen something to smile about. Before we drove to the dealership, Kenny Smith (New Car Sales Manager) helped us finalize our Golf based upon our interests, financial options, and incentives. So it was a breeze when we met in person and he kept his word. Thank you so much, Kenny! David Jennings is an exceptional finance manager! He took his time and navigated us through all the available financial options without over selling anything. It s a rare thing, to find people like him.

Last but not the least, our amazing and top-notch Sales and Leasing Consultant: Tom Ryan. When we met him, I thought he is more like software engineer working at a tech company than a sales guy. Wow, what a guy, he is one of the reasons why I m writing this review, helped us every step of the way, genuine interest to help customers with a million dollar smile. We, in fact, took a picture with him and our new VW golf! He called us later to see if we had reached NC safely, and made us feel like family!

Owners of Stohlman Automotive Family deserve kudos to have this culture going on. Way to go guys! Once my daughter becomes old enough to drive she will be getting her first car from Stohlman!

called in for a quote/invoice for back brakes that...

called in for a quote/invoice for back brakes that I knew I needed to have replaced. After a gentlemen provided me with a quote estimate over the phone, I asked if he could email it over to me. He sent me a typed sentence stating "here is the estimate for the rear brake pads and rotors-$550."

I replied and asked if I can have a break down of these charges to which he replied he can't provide unless I am actually getting service done. I found this odd so I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to Debbie the Service Manager. I explained to her how I usually get my car serviced at another VW dealer and how I've been able to get the type of Invoice I was asking in the past. As I was trying to explain this to her and question why this was something they could not provide she kept talking over me then proceeded to hang up in my ear. I am guessing she didn't like the fact I wasn't willing to just accept a simple "that's the way it is" as an answer. Remind you, I not once got loud or disrespectful/rude with this women, just simply wanted a invoice or better explanation of why you wouldn't provide a breakdown of parts and estimated labor costs to an inquiring customer.

Well, this incident took place on Thursday afternoon, I've since gotten my brakes repaired by Lindsay Volkswagen (where I originally purchased my vehicle.) But, I never received a call back from any one of the managers at this dealer, no apologies and no explanation. Even after I called to follow up TWICE and sent a email to the GM and Sales manager.

Glad I'm not a regular customer of this location. I don't ever write reviews. But the level of service I received really deserved this feedback. I hope they learn to treat their future guests/customers better. It also looks like customer service is an issue within the sales and service department. Seems like they would benefit from some training of some sort or possibly a new job if they don't enjoy assisting customers who pay their hard-earned money to bring their car in.

Good new car buying experience with straightforward salesman. Very little hassle or negotiating required to get a better price than any other dealer I contacted. Financing was fast, without significant pressure to upsell warranty or protection packages. Overall, I would buy a car here again.

I was going to lease a 2019 Jetta SEL at Alexandria VW but didn't get the best feeling from them. I went to Stohlman, and man, what a difference! The dealership was nicer, sales associates were friendlier and more attentive- especially Sam Estaniss. He was able to get be a better deal than they offered me in Alexandria which was a plus! Sam was such a pleasure to work with. He genuinely cared about making me happy and making sure I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted. I would definitely get my next car from him, and I recommend you do the same!

Can't say enough good things about Stohlman Volkswagen. The car-buying experience I had was pleasant and painless - Sam Estaniss is an incredible salesman. What really warrants this 5 star review, however, is what happened after I purchased my car. Took the car to get a Maryland safety inspection three days later and was disappointed to learn that it failed based on something very minor. Brought the car back to Stohlman and they fixed the issue right on the spot. I got the car inspected again immediately and it passed. The whole ordeal was solved in one afternoon. So incredibly glad that I chose Stohlman Volkswagen to purchase my car. They went above and beyond to help me each step of the way. Will be telling everyone I know to get their cars from here!

Fantastic experience at Stohlman Volkswagon with rockstar salesman Sam Estaniss today. Sam made the sale happen with zero drama and nothing but smiles. Sam got us our price, took our trade in and made it all seem easy. I would work with him anytime. Did I mention my new car, 2019 Tiguan? I absolutely love it especially the Pacific Blue color and the amazing panoramic moon roof. Thank you Sam for a wonderful car buying experience from start to finish.

I am very disappointed in this dealership. My family was pushed to buy a car they were not sure about. Before finishing the deal, they told the salesman their concern about the car, and he told "no no" this is the best car for you, and that if you change we will have to start the paperwork all over. Laziness is not a reason for having a customer buy a car. The customer said they wanted something of larger size, and you pushed them to get it just because the paperwork was complete. Now that the car is off the lot, its too late and there is nothing they can do, and stuck with a car too small for them for the next three years. This is unacceptable, and I guarantee you the last time we do business with this dealership.

This review is for the service department, specificity the service advisor, Jack Smith. I brought my 2018 GTI in this morning to have the drivers seat looked at because the seat bottom was creaking loudly when making turns at low speeds or when shifting in the seat. I am from Maryland and this dealership is by no means close to me, but I made the trip first thing this morning out to Tyson s because they were the highest rated VW dealership in the DMV and I am very particular about who services my car. I made the appointment with Marcus but was told when I arrived at 7am that he was not in today and they instead put me with Jack Smith. Right off the bat he didn t introduce himself and blatantly asked, why are you here? . I told him my concerns and that I made an appointment. He put me on a test drive with the shop foreman who confirmed the noise I was hearing. I was fully prepared to wait a few hours while they looked at the seat, though upon arriving back at the dealer, Jack came out, sat in my drivers seat and turned to me and said, it s a GTI, they make noises. That s the kind of car you bought. I ve had the car 7 months and only have 3,000 miles on it. I refuse to believe that that was normal and I was shocked that a service advisor basically told me that it was a normal occurrence and that they could do little to nothing about it. I told him that I couldn t believe his response, how dismissive he was about my concern and took my keys and left.

I decided that, since I took the day off from work to get this issue addressed, to drive back to Maryland to VW of Laurel where I leased the car from originally and get a second opinion. Within 30 mins of my being there they had road tested the car, confirmed the noise, and had 3 technicians looking at the seat to get an idea as to what it was. Turns out the frame of the seat bottom was the cause and they ordered a replacement and will be covering it at no cost.

I will never forget how dismissive and basically rude Jack was to me and will never be going back, for service or otherwise, to Stohlman VW.

I visited here yesterday with my mom, shopping for a golf GTI as my first car because I will start driving in couple weeks. We went in and was greeted by Charles. He asked what he can help us with, and I told him I will be driving in couple weeks, and looking for a reasonable priced GTi. This is not my first time shopping for a car, last week I went to a Honda dealership and the gentleman there kindly showed me all the options that fit my price. But Charles wasn't helpful at all. He was rude, and he told me that I needed to bring in the money, before he could show me around for car. Charles was very aggressive with his approach , and refused to help us, just because we didn't bring in money. Does Charles expect people to bring in a suitcase full of cash ? My family and I are ready to buy a car, and my dream car is a GTi. I no longer am interested in doing business with stohlman Volkswagen, because of how unprofessional Charles was.

After being warmly greeted by our salesperson, Tabish who I had meet thorough a Cargus car search inquiry, he quickly went to work retrieving and pulling curbside many vehicle for my wife and I to view and road test.
In between vehicles, we were happily acknowledged by every employee we came in contact with as we toured this beautiful dealership. I hadn't bought a vehicle here since 2000 but was pleased to see many of the staff were still working there ( and moved up to management positions) This is something you don't see at many dealerships. We were amazed at the selection and quality of the used vehicle inventory. Buying here was a fun and a very stress free experience. Our dealership finance business manager, Hesham was very knowledgeable and informative without making us feel awkward or under pressure in any way. A joy to deal with. We are very happy with our beautiful Certified Pre-owned Volkswagen Tiguan. I highly recommend this wonderful ( still family owned ) automotive dealership to everyone. Thank you. Man, this is THE place to shop if you're in the market for a Volkswagen. Recently purchased a Golf Tsi from here and i gotta say, doing business here was great. The dealership was bustling with consumers and there were a couple of hangups that made my transaction a bit lengthy however, dealing with Abe made up for it. That guy knows how to sell cars! If you come here, make certain you ask for Abe!! He's a great dealer and a lil bit more accommodating than some of the others(or so it seemed). Also, shout out to Drake in the finance section....he's got patience and good service. Cant articulate how much fun im having whizzing through the DC alleyways and suburban boulevards in my new Golf!!

Very prompt, quick in getting the paper work done, lack of transparency, some sales force rude.

Here are some excerpts of my experience:

a) Very prompt in getting back to me over the phone as they should be. At one point I was talking with three sales people for the same car including the manager, which I thought was interesting and at times confusing.

c) We agreed upon an out the door price over the phone but unfortunately that changed when we got to the dealer: Classic. Transparency is an issue.

d) Their sales force does not know the current interest rates on financing.

e) They agreed upon sending me an itemized cost but never did. Later I found out that is never an option. So why not tell the facts upfront.

f) A good display of Good Cop-Bad Cop act while I was trying to negotiate fee for unnecessary special options which frankly I did not need. Mr Bill Brayer was the bad cop and Mr Kenny Smith was the good cop this time. This may change for you. Mr. Bill Brayer was so rude that I would fire him on the spot if I owned the dealership.

The only good thing out of this is that I got a car which will replace my old one.

I had a great experience with the salesperson, David Jennings. He answered e-mails quickly, was courteous, well-informed and completely straightforward regarding prices. When I came to pick up the car it was just before closing time. He stayed for as long as necessary to show me everything I needed to know about the car and the services the dealership has to offer.

I just bought a '17 Jetta GlI manual from Steven Kappler and it was a great experience. Steven went out of his way to find the car in a manual transmission and had it shipped in from out of state with no charge. As a person formally involved in the car industry I was impressed with the quickness, professionalism, and no pressure atmosphere of both Steven and the finance manager David. Steven's knowledge of the vehicles is unmatched as I usually find myself showing the salesperson things about the car they didn't even know. If you are car junkie or a regular buyer, I highly recommend checking out Stohlman and in particular Steven Kappler as your choice for a VW.

Thomas Calvert was amazing at finding the exact car that I wanted. I can not stress enough how happy I am that I went to Stohlman Dealership. I had been working with another dealership and they had failed completely in finding me a car and had told me it would be till January before they had what I wanted. I called Thomas and he was able to find me two that met my exact needs/requests in a matter of 10 min. WOW! Ryan Jones and Richard Hanna were able to procure the car and have it on the lot the next day. I came, test drove the car, and bought it on the spot. I am so pleased with their professionalism, quick service, and excellent handling of the entire process. It was by far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I also traded in my old car and they matched my quote. So easy! I financed the car and they streamed lined the process to my exact wants. I was able to pick and choose the coverage and customize it perfectly. I am so very pleased with the entire experience that I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants a no hassle, easy, and professional experience. I just bought a new 2015 Subaru WRX at Stohlman after ordering one two months ago with everything I wanted with great help from David Jennings. The order process and initial inquiry was all through email and he was entirely honest, helpful, and straightforward about everything. When the car arrived, he immediately sent me an email and called me to let me know, even including a picture of the car. He seemed as excited as I was about the car arriving! I headed over to the dealership last weekend and was greeted by David and had a very pleasant, no-pressure experience. I was allowed to take the car out for a test drive and then was taken around the dealership to introduce me to all the different areas within the building. In conclusion, I have nothing but good things to say about David and Peter Kim at Stohlman and would buy more vehicles there in the future.

Scott was great! He worked with me for almost a year before I was ready to get My Beetle. He listened and advised, stayed in touch and kept informed. As a VW owner himself, he knows all the ins and outs about their vehicles, his knowledge is impressive enough to surprise even me, who has had the Beetle obsession for a long time and who is extremely diligent about doing research before any significant purchase. Like myself, he has great admiration for German engineering and design, he loves driving their car and gets the whole VW thing ;)

Thanks to his advice I extended my patience and waited for the release of "the latest and the greatest" Beetle Turbo R-line, which he was able to locate to the exact of my specifications only within moments of Beetle R-line release in the US. He had the car shipped to their dealer even without finalizing my transaction on paper and had it marked "SOLD as it arrived, so that I could have every first right to make it mine. I did and I could not be happier. I am driving the exact car I dreamed about, and it is BEFORE anyone else in the area!
That alone makes my experience exceptional.
I am in love with my car!

Bought used VW Jetta in 2013. Refinished wheels with low quality paint, filler, and clear coat without any disclosure. 10 months later and the wheels are in terrible shape as it all washes away.
Service Team puts on a fake customer service face but when questioned how after a wheel balance the wheels were scraped, get aggressive and rude basically calling me a liar. Tell me they'll call wheel service rep but never follow up - no surprise.
Plenty of choices out there for used cars - do your due diligence and don't trust sales or service.

The lease on my current car was ending soon, and the VW dealership less than 10 minutes from my house called and had me come down to arrange a new lease on a new car. I was promised everything I wanted--UNTIL it was time to make a deal--suddenly the salesman who was my best friend acted like he'd never met me. He basically offered me a stripped down, model car that already had mileage on it, wasn't the color I wanted, and wasn't the price I asked for. I asked the salesman if I could turn in my current VW anywhere I wanted--he said yes, that I didn't have to turn it in to him.

That same afternoon, I Google searched for another VW dealership and found Stohlman. Although it was a much farther drive, I thought it would be worth checking out. The Stohlman website had a live chat feature where you could "speak" with a sales person online. Josh Jay answered and I told him what had happened at the other VW dealership. Her assured me right away that he would be honest and shoot straight with me. I was able to do almost everything with him online before having to drive to the dealership. Once Josh and I had the basics down, all I had to do was go pick up the car.

Just walking through the front door made me feel much better than I had before. I am a life long VW driver and I seriously considered switching brands just because of the lies and run around I was getting from the other dealer. I'm glad I took a chance--Josh never made any false promises to me. He said that he would try his absolute best to get me what I wanted for the price I wanted.

I told Josh that I had never made a car deal that I truly felt good about in all my years of buying or leasing cars. He said, "You will now," and he was right. I actually got MORE than I wanted, in terms of the model and features for almost EXACTLY the price I wanted. I can honestly say that it was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had.

I also want to mention the business manager, Hesham Kamal--he was friendly and attentive and patient with me, as I asked a million questions about the warranty coverage and other benefits.

I live in Alexandria, but I will never buy a car here, or even get it serviced here, ever again. I'd much rather drive to the Tysons Corner area and be treated with respect by honest, friendly people. I want to thank these guys for shattering every stereotype that I have had about car sales people and dealerships.

I have been using the same dealer for about a year...

I have been using the same dealer for about a year, but this time the service was really bad. First of all, there is no option to schedule an appointment online anymore. Then when I tried to schedule through live chatting, I was told that someone will call me to confirm. I waited for a day but nobody called.
I called the service department after two days but nobody was there so I left a message. Still, heard nothing from them. Eventually I called back again and was able to schedule an appointment. What's more, before the appointment, I did not see any confirmation email or remind email.

And, on the service day, service rep told me it will take one hour for the inspection. And I waited for 2 and half hours without any further notice or explanation on why this was taking so long. The total service costed me more than 3 hours of waiting, which was really unpleasant.

I'm not sure whether I would like to use this location anymore.

I was provided with a loaner car as a courtesy. Stohlman runs a professional, and courteous service department. I was pleased with my experience.

I am usually a positive, constructive person with ...

I am usually a positive, constructive person with a customer facing job, that makes me A patient customer, most times. This dealership has made me jump over the roof. The only reason I am sharing my experience is to help others avoiding the dramatic experince I am experincing, 5 months after changing my leased VW and purchasing a new one.

First thing, their actions have significantly penalized my credit score as a result of their mistakes and unprofessionalism. In spite that we had agreed that we would used their VW credit product, and agreed on a fixed monthly payment, they hard ran my SSN no less than 5 times with different lenders. The objective was not lowering my monthly payment, but getting themselves a better financing deal for them to take benefit of the difference in value. When I complained about this, they did not even recognize it, nor even issued an apology.

Second, they made me pay an additional 325 USD because the color they had promised me they had on stock had been sold.

Third, they signed a document stating that as a commercial gesture, they would pay the last two lease payments of my previous leased VW (lease agreement was with VW credit). 5 months later, not only they have not honoured their commitment, but VW credit is sendig me credit notifications that they will report my lack of payment to the credit agencies. My credit score has dropped 40 points. I have sent them several emails, attempted to call ... not a single answer.

Fourth, they made me pay for some options that I saw on the vehicle I test drove that did not come with the final vehicle. When I said that it was not acceptable they answered: Sorry, that is the car we FOUND. You can buy the option in Amazon, we don t have it . It was a trunk cover.

Fifth, when I returned my previously leased VW, they made a quick inspection and they said that everything was fine. For the record, I take very good care of vehicles, I clean them every week end and I am very careful driver. The car was spotless. 5 months later, I receive a note from VW, claiming that I owe them $500, as there were some 10 scratches !!
When I call them to state that I am not responsible of these scratches, they claim it is their word against mine and that 5 months later, the car is scratched. I did not do it, but they are still blaming me.

In a nutshell, my experience was wrong at so many levels. In spite I did have a caring sales person, Stohlman management behaviour is not only not acceptable, but a shame for the large organization and brand they represent.

I ve always heard that vw is a really great car but my experience says otherwise.
I leased a Volkswagen jetta 2019 for my son because I was told that it s comfortable, good looking and not a fast car. This was my sons first car and he has hated it since the purchase. I drove it a couple times after the purchase and noticed a sound in the transmission. It was like the cars about to explode in the 2nd to 3rd gear shifting. I was not told or warned by anyone while I was signing the lease. After 2 months the sound got even worst and when I called the VW locates at Tyson s corner Virginia stohlman they took a 3 minute look at the car and told me that this is a manufacturing issue and that there is no way that this could be fixed like they just wanted me out of their hair. I am very disappointed in VW s salesmen and the manager for not telling me about this issue and very angry at Volkswagen America for not helping me with this situation. If you are buying/leasing a Volkswagen please be careful because what they are selling you may not look like garbage but how the engine is made is rubbish.
Don t trust them because they are just trying to get rid of their cars no matter that their buyer is pleased or not. They only care about the money. I will never ever buy anything made by Volkswagen and I suggest that you do the same.

Been to this service center for my first service. As soon as I left the showroom within few miles I got a FLAT Tire. When I went back to the Showroom, they showed a NEW Nail on the SIDES of the Tires which means I have to replace my tire for my new car. NOT A CLEAN SERVICE CENTER, BE READY TO SHELL OUT $$$ FOR NOTHING.

My girlfriend and I financed a vehicle with the help of two gentleman, named Abe and Jimmy. Excellent excellent people. Abe made the process extremely easy comfortable and quick. Jimmy was much help with getting the bank to give us a better rate. They even gave us 2 full service checkups for free.

We didn't start our car shopping at Stohlman, and we went through all the usual scripted, tiresome and pressure-filled sales pitches elsewhere. This was also the first time we had considered Volkswagen. Mahmoud is very knowledgeable and took the time to educate us about the brand he sincerely believes in. He patiently helped guide us through several models before zeroing in on the Golf. Negotiating a fair deal with him and his manager Kenny was painless. As a VW enthusiast, I finally found the perfect place to buy my new VW and any future VW. The guys there and the manager, Mike Huyett, were both VW enthusiasts!! How rare is that?! In my experience it's very rare, I only saw such enthusiasm at the BMW Motorcycle dealer out in Fredericksburg. I negotiated pretty hard and kept them up past closing hours, I had to get the best deal possible, and they were as patient as could be. In the end, I really enjoyed my experience there and would recommend this particular dealer to anyone who's looking for a VW, I wouldn't buy my next VW from anywhere else. Oh, and ask for Javan, he's a good man. If he gives you trouble just ask for Mike ;p

Steven Kappler is top-notch and by far superior to all the other sales reps that we met test driving cars. Not only did he have great communication and follow up skills, but he is a car enthusiast. Our negotiations were straightforward and there were no surprises.

I purchased an SUV on 11/17/16 they gave me 30 day tags. In December they mailed me a note letting me know that I could pick up my license plates. When I got there they sent me to the side of the building where I told the man why I was there and he took off my 30 day tag and put the new ones on. I found out this 4/23/17 that someone has been driving around using those 30 day tags that I tuned into them 4 months earlier.

I found out that those tags were being use when I received 2 tickets from D.C. in the mail. Both tickets happened on 4/1/17. The tickets have the picture of the car and it was an Infiniti car and I have a VW SUV.

I immediately called my salesman Sultan A (Thinking he was going to help me.) I told him what happened and he told me he would call me back after he talked to his manger. He called me back and he very rudely explained how isn't not their fault because they rip them up and maybe someone got it out of the trash.I was very surprised by his attitude because he seemed really nice when I purchased the car. After speaking with Sultan A I called back and left a message with his manager Mike Dwyer he called me back and requested for me to email him pictures of the two tickets. It has been two days and he hasn't called or returned my call.

This is a form of Identity thief and they are not taking it serious this person can rack up tickets and God knows what else and I have to spend my time trying to fight and prove that it's not me. I am very disappointed in the way that I have been treated this far.

Be wise don't let this happen to you.

I had an amazing Service Experience with Mike Parrelli at Stohlman VW. With the recent cold snap, my tire pressure sensor went off and did not want to make the long drive home. Mike got my car checked out and went above and beyond just adding air to my tire. He and the Technician went above and beyond to check out all four of my tires to make sure I did not have any other issues that may have cause a safety issue. It is great to know that their are Professionals left like Mike, who care about their customers and take the time to go above and beyond.

In researching VW's we found the care we liked online and were contacted by Alan Soon about coming into the office for a test drive. Alan wasn't pushy in getting us to come in like some other dealers. We contacted Alan and setup a time to come in. Alan was ready for us and after a few questions, we took a Passat out for a test drive. Alan had a route ready for us to test different types of roads and took us to a different lot that had different colors. In the end, we didn't purchase the vehicle through Stohlman, but will go back in the event we need another VW.

Im very happy with the service provided by Abe Azzarkani. No pressure easy going dude, no negativity at all even with my objections. Got me what I wanted for my trade and was able to get me in the car I thought I couldn't afford. Great guy with a great personality. Extremly recommended. What started off as a negative experience was quickly turned around for better by Abe.

I've bought two cars and leased one and every time I walk in I see someone I know and they greet me, ask me why I'm back, how I am doing etc. I know they are going to give me the car that fits my needs at that time in my life without trying to sell me on anything else. The service department is the best one in the area, even fixing another VW dealers problem for me. Stohlman is the best!

When I showed up to inquire, salesman told me they did not have that one available, it was being used by Mrs. Stohlman. They could have easily put a note on their web site explaining the situation but chose not to. Based on my experience, I would not believe anything listed on Stohlman's web site.

I went to Stohlman in order to test drive a BRZ. Chris La Porte went for a ride with me in the 2015 they had on the lot at the time. My intent was to wait and purchase a 2016 due to a difference in features(mainly backup camera). In the end, Chris was able to work with me on the price of the 2015, so I was able to add a camera with the money saved and got my new car sooner.

Chris and Peter both made the test drive, sales, trade-in, and financing a fast and painless process. The dealership also has a new owners clinic and checks in post-sale. Not something I needed on this purchase, but it's nice that they're available. Would definitely do business with them again.

It might seem odd to write a review when you don t buy a car from a dealer, but some experiences are better than others, and our experience with Alan Soon at Stohlman VW-Subaru was definitely a good one. He s a no-pressure guy who wants people to make informed decisions and be happy with them. We ve bought two cars from Stohlman in the past and were treated well. If the 2016 Impreza had the two must have options we were looking for (separate climate controls and electric seats), we would have bought one here.

They have an online system to make an appointment. You select what work you want done and book a date and time. Fantastic. Just that you have to re-write all of that, plus put down all of the vehicle info again on paper. So why do the online stuff?

I had a 60K maintenance done. They found a light out that didn't show up on the dash, so they replaced it. At a cost of $52.51 for a license plate light. They wanted to charge $5.70 for the bulb and $46.81 for labor. They took the $52,51 off the bill, but wanted to charge me for the bulb.

The staff inside was rude and curt when I asked a question about the airbag recall. Rather than be nice and simply state that they'll check on it and let me know, but there shouldn't be a problem as VWs don't use that company's airbag system, the guy said, "The Service Dept is closed."

The service manager asked for feedback if I had any concerns. I wrote a detailed email to her. No response.

There are many good local service shops around. Avoid these guys. They're trying to pay for the renovations they made.

Well the sales consultants (Amsal and Tom Ryan) here were friendly and were very approachable. However the Sales manager Mr. Nick Zahra was just plain and simply very very "disrespectful". He was rude and when we went there, he calls us into the office and asks me and my wife very personal and private questions. Well all that just made us very uncomfortable and we did not make and deal.

Let me start off by saying that my experience here...

Let me start off by saying that my experience here was great. The salesman I had no longer works there but he was very professional and probably one of the coolest car salesman I've met. Now here's where the 1 Star review comes into play, I've been driving my car on expired tags for around 1 month because the dealership never sent me my tags and registration. I called the dealership 20 plus times and everytime I call them I get sent to a voicemail and no explanation. So about 4 weeks after my tags were expired they send me a $130 refund check in the mail and tell me to go handle it at my own DMV. So I went to my local tags and title shop and not even them could get a hold of someone to resolve the issue. An AUTHORIZED VW dealership that has a great selection of vehicles with really nice interesting employees but 0 Customer service. Again this place is a great place to look for new or used cars but just make sure that if you're an out of state resident that you can be assured that your tags will arrive. Me and my wife purchased a 2013 GLI over the weekend. I have bought a good amount of cars before this one and this by far was my most pleasant experience. Scott was great and informed about everything the car had to offer. Worked with us on pricing and assisted on getting the color and model for us to pick out. He went through all the features the car offered after we purchased the car helped get a lot of things set up.
Christina was great as well helping us get financed and making the paperwork process be less of the usual pain that it is. She helped us get a good rate and on the road in our new car. This has been the best car buying experience that I have had to date and highly recommend shopping at Stohlman and the people that work there.

After having done my homework and with one unpleasant experience at my local Maryland dealer, I ran into Alan. Start to finish the process was easier than expected and working with Alan made the process enjoyable. Alan answered my questions, took the time to not to sell me a car but to understand what I was really looking for and finally finding something was would fit my needs. Bottom line working with Alan, I got great deal with NO HASSLE! Excellent experience overall, I would drive over 75 miles again to purchase a vehicle from Alan and Stohlman VW.

Washing my car while it s there, replacing my fob batteries, and carefully contacting me before any pricey work starts, to explain what s been discovered. When I combine that with a location that s next to a Metro station and lots of shops and restaurants and a comfy, free-coffee waiting area, AND COUPONS! Useable, substantial coupons. The BEST customer service, hands down.

I got my new Passat GT last week. It is really good so far. I owned a 2012 Passat before. It was so much fun driving a newer and better one! I have to mention Sam, the sales consultant there. He is really a great and nice guy. Honestly, his dedicated efforts and sincere attitudes are part of reasons for me to go with VW again. He almost spent a whole afternoon with me but still being warm-hearted and enthusiastic with me till the end. Even after purchasing, he was supportive and helpful to any questions from me.
