A popular venue with great facilities operated at a high standard. It is cheaper to buy tickets online at least the day before you go. The restaurant has a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. For drinks only you can use a separate serving area. The maze was complicated enough to make it impossible to remember. It wasn't necessary to use a map to reach the centre but it took 20 minutes of meandering and a scout out from a raised bridge to make it. Very well done to the designer.

We recently visited Stockeld Park to visit the magical Christmas Adventure which quite frankly looked amazing and with three children under six I hoped it was as good as it looked.

Arriving at Stockeld Park it s clear to see that this beautiful attraction loves Christmas just as much as we do, from twinkling lights to lovely decorations this places oozes charm from the moment you walk through the gates.

The activities on offer including Ice Skating, Nordic skiing, the Maze and the Enchanted Forest Trail are great fun and whilst it is possible to pay for individual activities I think the best value for money is gained when purchasing a family day pass especially when you have children like ours who fall in love with an activity resulting in them wanting to do it again and again. In addition one thing I did like about this attraction is that people whom don t want to participate in the activities can still enter free of charge allowing the whole family to enjoy simply being together during this festive day out.

Now I have to say that our visit to Father Christmas was amazing, the walk down to the Grotto was beautifully lit and the main man himself was exceptional! Not only did he look exactly what you would expect him to look like he was amazing with the children, talking to them, making jokes and more importantly enhancing the magic of the festive season- what more could you ask for?

After our visit to Santa we all headed to the Enchanted Forest Trail which is absolutely gorgeous. My biggest tip would be to make sure you walk around the forest after the sun has gone down as it is beautifully illuminated and there is still plenty for the kids to do on the way round. From play parks to chimes, slides in the shape of a tea pot, a house in the shape of a boot and the kid s favourite a magic mirror the trail oozes charm and gave us all the festive feeling.

Visiting Stockeld Park isn t the cheapest Christmassy day out available but it is the most beautiful place I ve taken the little man and in my opinion well worth a visit, we will certainly be returning next year!

Beautiful park. Well maintained and very clean. All areas are really good and fun for the children. We didn't eat here we took a pack up and enjoyed it in the sun on the huge open field, but we had an ice cream from the cafe.... a little expensive for my liking and very long waiting time.
Overall had a brilliant day and would re-visit, only thing I would do different is not visit the circus, it was very basic, it was free with the purchase of a ticket so can not grumble, but it's not worth a re-visit.

Been twice now for Christmas. Got lost in the maze, been ice skating and once skiing. Walk through enchanted forest and seen the lights in there. We've always taken our own food and drink so we dont lose time queuing up and we've never joined age to see santa. I did think it was better 1st time we went though but still a good day out

Just had an amazing day at Stockeld Park. Perfect weather, not too busy, fab place with tonnes to do and see! I ve skating really good too! Want to say how fab the staff were in particular the Sedgeway at the end. We had got there as it closed and the last group were getting their safety briefing and they were so kind to let our two children have a go as they were upset we had missed it and went out of their way to bring another Sedgeway for them! Absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much! Made our already fantastic day just perfect! We will be back

Had a lovely time. Visited during Halloween half term. Maze was good. Covid restrictions in place. Small fair which you have to pay for separately. Nice experience but far too expensive for what it is.

We visited today for the first time to see the win...

We visited today for the first time to see the winter illuminations, which are lovely.
A lot of effort has been put in to help visitors social distance and stay safe, hand sanitiser is available throughout the walk and signs to remind people to social distance are placed regularly around the park.
It isn't heaving with visitors and you're timed in to leave gaps between groups which gives plenty of space for people to social distance.
Unfortunately a lot of visitors either don't understand what a metre is or just don't care about social distancing. At one point when we were waiting for a family to finish at one set of lights were ended up with a family to our left, less than half a metre from us and a family over our shoulder on the other side.
This happened throughout the walk, which was a shame as the lights are lovely but the number of visitors ignoring social distancing made it quite uncomfortable.
I don't think there's any more Stockeld could do about this as they're doing lots to remind people already, hence the 4*.

asolutely DISGUSTED!!! attended for the firewrks display - clearly states on the website as well as the fireworks "you will also be able to try out our ice skating rink, walk around our truly beautiful enchanted forest, or maybe go on our cross country skiing trail". we took our 4 children and we attempted to begin our enchanted forest walk, gave our tickets to the gate clerk and were promptly turned away with him stating that the tickets were ONLY for the fireworks display - which was disappointing to say the least! our children were absolutely heartbroken sobbing there hearts out, the ushered us through the nearest gate into the most muddy, boggy, dark field with a double buggy which is impossible to push over that terrain!! so unhappy, we shall not be recommending this attraction to anyone, families please beware when purchasing tickets here - also the phones are NEVER answered!

Went to the Christmas wonderland walk here. After hearing good reviews from friends and family we was not disappointed. As with any place like this, take some food cause is was expensive. But apart from that what a magical experience. The daughter loved it as her eyes lit up at the lights and attractions. Every year I will return here

Wonderful. We arrived at 11.30 and did not leave untill 6pm!!
In our party was myself and husband, his 70yr old parents and our 20month old daughter. There was something for all of us. The play areas are fantastic and lots of well placed seats to take a little rest. We went during the winter lights which is simply magical. The cafe is such a pleasant and spacious area extremely clean, as were the toilets. Absolute bargain for what you pay. Id recommend this to all my friends and family.

Been her two years running for the Christmas festivities. The children loved ice skating and skiing and the park areas are brilliant. The enchanted forest is really nice too, just make sure you wait until it's dark to get the full atmosphere.

Went for the lights. Family friendly, very busy but good estate management meant no big queues and lots to do.

Best feature by far is the water show on the lake. Jets of water, atmospheric lighting, coordinated with music made for a very beautiful experience. An after dark must see.

Had an absolutely fab time at Stockeld Park. It rained all day but didn't spoil our fun at all. Santa's Grotto was one of the best I've ever been to and all the staff were great. The maze is great, my son really enjoyed being in charge of which way and he actually got us out! Loads of people didn't manage it and back tracked to the entrance. The skiing was OK, its pretty long for what it is, which isn't really skiing, I wouldn't do it again when I go back. We all enjoyed the Enchanted Forest which looks amazing at night and the parks that break it up are fun too. Lovely day out and we'll absolutely be back. Best hot chocolate we've had too!

We love stockeld park, it is great every year however this year I felt they could have managed the large crowds better. I understand it's not necessarily dangerous (COVID) due to being outside however after months of social distancing I do not feel Stockeld Park it well at all. There are clear safety precautions taken in the indoor areas but the illuminations walk was a large crowd of people waiting for their turn on a number of occasions. Longer fallow periods might solve this. Will definitely outside of COVID.

This is a fun place to go, well organised, and the kids enjoy it. We went in the Summer, and it was a fun, reasonable day out. Brilliant!

Seriously Stokeld Park, do you really think you're on a par with Alton Towers........
A great place, but the pricing needs to be reconsidered. A really good day out is spoiled by the feeling that they want to squeeze every last penny out of you.

Great place. We went during the Christmas period and it was wonderfully festive. Only downside is the cost. Very expensive so not something you can do regularly (unless money is not a concern for you). It was very busy but we never felt overwhelmed by the amount if people (we times everything right).

We went to see the illumination in the Enchanted forest. It was really good. 15 month old loved it too. Good for pushchairs also. 1.5 hours walk at a slow pace and taking lots of pictures. Wrap up warm. There is a cafe and toilets to use. Recommend.

For the price you have an illuminated made and a lights show in the park. It is completely worth the money! The maze genuinely feels big and it genuinely feels like you can get lost in it - which is impressive! The illumated walk is also a spectacle - with some lights and shows being worth the ticket price itself. Absolutely worth the visit.

Kids loved this (despite the 30 degree heat when we visited!). Loads to do and the forest was amazing.

Food was nice (we had pizza and panini as well as loads of ice cream) - staff were friendly and helpful too.

Would recommend.
