This place is awesome. The cocktails are an art and the food is great. The staff is also very nice.

First time visiting and it was absolutely AHHHHMAZING We ordered the fried green tomatoes, fish tacos, charbroiled and Rockefeller oysters, salmon cakes and grits and every single item was A1 The cocktails were BEYOND GREAT Our waitress was so great and personable. The manager Jason Alford made my birthday so special! He brought out the delicious cheesecake with a candle to celebrate ME He checked on us periodically and made sure my night was about Me It s quite obvious he s a great leader because the entire experience was beyond my expectations Wonderful customer service, delicious food, gorgeous atmosphere. We can t wait to return!

I had Cassandra as my waitress and she was absolutely fantastic!! She helped make sure I was satisfied with my order no backlash, no attitude. It was like she was a long time friend. & that s how I like them.

Absolutely delicious. The waitstaff were friendly and quick. The drinks are AMAZING and so is really anything else on the menu. 10/10 recommend the fried oysters for an appetizer. Even if they aren't usually your thing, these will be. They may be new, but they've got it figured out.

I had the pleasure to have Brunch at the restaurant. I must say Brett and Jamie displayed the definition of silver service. I was so impressed I had to let the manager know what type of people he had working for him. Once I met Jason Alford I immediately knew. He was just a pleasant an accommodating as Brett and Jamie. This is an excellent example of what leading by example looks like.

Her personality is the absolute best!!!!! We had the best time! She is such a joy and really made our experience what it was!

My salmon was under cooked, and I didn t trip or anything, they got me another plate, but that didn t even bother me since Blythe was such a joy! i can t wait to come back

First time trying this place and not too impressed. Me and a couple friends went in there to have some drinks. We asked for a table outside but were told the we had to order food or we had to seat at the tables outside (in the court but outside the restaurant). It seems ridiculous too me to do that on a Monday when you have many open tables and no people waiting. Any clients wants to feel appreciated and we did not

I have been to Stir several times now at various times: brunch, lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere is very open and welcoming. Great seating and lighting. The food presentation is out of the world and is amazing and the food is delicious. I cannot say enough about the cocktail and bourbon selections, cocktails are phenomenal-I love the shaved ice. The ice demonstration is worth it so ask your server to demo it. Service has been outstanding every time. It is hard to believe it is new! Try it out, I would recommend a reservation because every time i have been it has been packed. Loving Stir!!!

The atmosphere was wonderful, I had a glass of Malbec & the salmon cakes app... Very tasty! The menu for entrees did not appeal to me though so I use it as a good cocktail meet up!

Love this place. I will definitely be back, especially with the weather being nice again. The food and drinks were really good. The staff were also friendly. Nice area with different restaurants around.

The food was really good. I've only gone twice and had their vegan dish as well as their Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious and they even gave us a free side dish since someone in our group had high blood pressure issues. Overall the service was good and I would definitely go back!

Nice location but overall not worth the hype. I visited this location and ordered some drinks, appetizers, and dinner. The drinks were ok pretty standard, they get a lil fancy with the ice so if thats your thing you would like the drinks.

Apps were great I would recommend the samosas.

Dinner however was terrible, my steak was burnt they ran out of the sauce that was suppose to go on my plate and the meal over all was dry. The manager did come and take my meal and even said it did smell burnt and apologized.

I didn't order anything else as im not a fan of the menu. If you love seafood you may like the menu there are alot of seafood items outside of the salads and 2 burgers they offer.

The service was great but i wouldn't frequent back to this location based on my experience. Food could be better, menu could be better, drinks were only ok.

I had a great experience! Everyone is nice and the food is Great! raw Bar is a Must ! The drinks are great the ambience just you name it. Perfect for a date or for a cool happy hour. I had the Fried Oysters Casino, Raw oysters, along with the entrees - shrimp and scallop mac and cheese, and the chicken piccata

I tried to give a five star rating because the service along with the food along with the prices were amazing! somewhere along the line of posting the review it got switched to a one star I apologize for that I would have never put a one star rating on a place where the food and service was so good

Great experience having dinner here with my friend the other week. Our server (whose name I completely forgot) was wonderful. She was so friendly and helped give great recommendations. Both the food and drinks were awesome. I ll definitely be a repeat customer!

Some friends and I decided to try out this new "#1 restaurant in Charlotte" the other night. Bottom line is that it is over-rated.

Usually I don't post 1-star reviews, but this place was highly disappointing. Our server had no idea what was going on and couldn't answer any question we had without leaving to go ask someone. She seemed really frazzled at first but later it seemed like she didn't care at all.

I ordered just a tonic water with lime and what came to the table did not taste as strong and bubbly as tonic water.. it tasted like a very mild soda. I later saw that the bill showed she rang in a sprite and just put a lime wedge in it. The first round of drinks didn't take too long to get to the table, but my friend ordered a beer later on and after 30 minutes of waiting for it, our server said she forgot about it and asked if he still wanted it. At some point, a huge amount of rainwater fell down into the water jar off of the patio umbrella while the server was taking our orders & replacement water wasn't offered.

The food didn't take an extraordinary amount of time to get to the table, but most of the food seemed like it was made & sold with no care. The hummus trio was good, but the truffle fries were just so lacking.. not enough truffle oil to even taste it except on a few fries. The plant burger was very basic and lacked flavor. My friend's shrimp & grits were over salted and another friend in our group couldn't even eat the scallops over mac & cheese because it was dry, as if it was tossed once, plated up, and then left under the heat lamp for too long. If our server was attentive, she would have noticed this issue within a few minutes by checking back in with the table.

Every other restaurant I've either dined in or worked in has sent a manager to the table when there is a food issue and it is corrected with either a replacement item or it is taken off the bill. Instead, the food was just taken away by the server 15 or 20 minutes later (once we were all almost finished eating) with the offer to get something else. Knowing it would take a while longer and not wanting to wait, my friend declined and we just asked for our bills. I'm not even sure (since we split the bill) if the scallops were comp'ed or not.

The only good part of the night was that we were able to sit out in nice weather on the patio.

Awesome vibe, a ton of cocktail and drink options in general (great whiskey/bourbon selections), great house oysters, good variety in general of food, the fried green tomatoes are fantastic as well as the fish tacos. I love the fact that they pay attention to the ice... ice is key to cocktails and they use 300lb purified blocks that are hand cut for the different styles of cocktails. Great great place and reasonably priced

I reserved and left directions that this was a special occasion and to put us at the best table and best waitress.

We were at the worst table and had a very inattentive waitress. I could hear the host talking about their personal lives from our seat . My friend and I told the waitress we were sharing dishes and we asked her for plates she never brought them . We asked her what sauce was on the scallops due to allergies since it didn t mention in the description she never came back. The truffle fries , you couldn t even taste the truffle. The service and the food was not worth it . My friend and I were annoyed in this special occasion and it ruined our night. I will never go here again. Not impressed by the service or food.

Trying to plan a bachelorette brunch during COVID was not what anyone had hoped for, but Stir was so accommodating and friendly. Outside seating with heaters available. The staff went out of their way to help us with the surprise. The food and drinks were amazing. I can definitely recommend this as a great brunch option in CLT!

I recently went to Stir for brunch with friends. The cocktails were creative and flavorful. The multiple varieties of oysters were so fresh and were better than I've had anywhere, including the beach. Our entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the crab and shrimp benedict and it was amazing. Most of all, our server Cassandra was fantastic. Her knowledge of the menu, fast and courteous service and winning personality had our whole table engaged. She created a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend Stir and look forward to coming back.

We had a great time for my birthday brunch! Ro was our server and we wouldn t have had it any other way. She was the best! Ask for her when you come! $2 mimosas and the food was amazing.

Fantastic! We sat at the oyster bar and Gustavo took absolute care of us, he had us try the pico de gallo oyster, which was absolutely amazing (ask for the Gus special when you go!). We enjoyed the atmosphere and especially the interactions of sitting up at the bar. We are grateful to the staff because we really felt welcomed. Justin our waiter, was knowledgeable about different drinks and also went above and beyond for us to have a good experience. He had great recommendations for us and was right on each one. I highly recommend STIR, we went there on a whim to just try it and ended up staying there the rest of the night. If you go there, ask to try some of Gustavo's creative twists on the oysters!

Food and staff were good. I ordered shrimp and grits. The lunch portion I had was very small. If you order it get the dinner meal. Nice ambiance and overall a good place to eat at.

Friends and I went for drinks and light apps - we ended up eating eating. Stir was great! Food and service were great and the ambiance was amazing!

This place is amazing, the food is so delicious . Our waitress Marlena C was phenomenal and her great customer service was on point. She was like one of the girls. Marlene was so attentive and made us feel right at home.

It was alright, nothing spectacular. Service was solid, tap water was disgusting (filter it properly), both dishes arrived room temperature. Parking was so-so.

Oh our server was awesome!!! He had so much enthusiasm and just flat out rocked! Immediately complimented my Led Zeppelin shirt (brownie points) then we talked about rock music which I looooove. He was awesome. I believe his name was Dakota!!

That's just the start. Our food, amazing. We got free snacky snacks before our brunch then I got the chicken and waffles. AMAZING. recommend 10/10.

Interesting food menu. Didn't dabble in the cocktails this visit. Had the chicken picatta it was great, the caprese not so much. Left on the grill too long I've had better grilled chicken at Applebee's. Nice cozy atmosphere

DO NOT GET THE PERUVIAN CEVICHE! I really had high hopes for this place. For what it's worth some of the experience was really good but others were a let down. The place is great looking large open and welcoming. You can park in the deck which isn't always an option in uptown. They have heaters for the patio which makes it perfect. Great drinks. We got several things. The sliders and fries were good. The scallops and shrimp for the mac & cheese were amazing however the sub par mac & cheese almost ruined it. The sauce tasted like a velveeta sauce... but the most disappointing thing was the ceviche sampler! I cannot stress this enough if you're gonna do something do it right or don't do it at all. In this case I would say Stir needs to not do ceviche at all. Not only were the flavors all wrong but even the quality of ingredients used weren't good. I was upset by what they tried to pass off as Peruvian ceviche, not only were there literally only 2 bites to try (ser pic) but the lime juice used was not fresh so it ruined the flavor there wasn't a cilantro flavor the maize used wasn't fresh and too much celery and hardly any juice/leche de tigre. And the citrus had over cooked the fish making the fish rubbery and hard. It was gross! The fried ceviche was too dry to enjoy. The avocado Mahi ceviche wasn't much better (Did it have oregano in it?who does that to ceviche?). Now the Mexican ceviche was actually pretty good. Again the shrimp was really good. The service was pretty good. The place seems really clean. So disappointing that yet another restaurant has failed so horribly at ceviche.

After a bad experience at Stir, we shared our experience and Dennis reached out to see what he could do to remedy the situation. He definitely did and we are looking forward to another experience.

We have dined here at least 10 times since opening. We have celebrated two other milestone birthdays for family members and tonight was to be the third.
We made a reservation for 4 at 8pm. We reserved a booth, but we re seated outside. We ordered the appetizer that the sever suggested. The samosas, they were not good. The seafood Mac and cheese was cold. They tried to fix it by putting it in the microwave. Completely disappointed with the service, food and memory of the evening. The best part was the drinks. I guess that s why they call it stir.

The bar alone is worth the visit. Oysters were fresh.

Literally everything was delicious. Hubs and I ordered the steak frites and it was better than I ever could have expected. I've never had a sirloin so tender. It comes with steak sauce, which I usually hate but forgot to ask with it without, but I loved that too! It's a little spicy and freaking delicious. My son got the kids mac with grilled veggies and it was hard to not dig into his food too. I never clear my plate, but I got real close this time. Definitely will be back.

All of the staff we encountered were also great! It looks like everyone was following covid guidelines which is nice. We try not to go out too much but ran late into the evening and literally had no groceries, so we appreciate a safe environment. A LOT of restaurants and takeout places are not following guidelines which makes those late nights hard for us.

We were able to preview this restaurant and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the drinks were very good. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to my shellfish allergy. I will definitely be visiting again.

I love the ceviche at this place. Absolutely amazing! But... When I ordered my salad and was about to take my second bite I found a hair in my salad. I let the waitress know and she said sorry and asked what else I wanted form the menu. I feel like for the reputation of this place, in the heart of south end, someone other than the waitress should have come out to apologize. I ve never had something like this happen to me, with at least having the manager come out to our table to acknowledge the fact that there was a hair in my food.

After viewing several pictures of the food on social media I decided to take my significant other out to dinner tonight. I was excited and eager to try "the best cuisine in Charlotte" so I decided to make a online reservation for 5:45pm on a Monday. We arrived about 10 minutes early and walked up to the hostess stand to see if our reservation was ready. The brunette haired host with glasses short in stature fair skinned lady was rude and looked at me with a foul and grotty look. I turned and looked at my significant other confused about what that was about but I didn't say anything but it did turn my excitement into a unpleasant mood for the remainder of the dinner. After we followed her to the table she put us in the very back of the restaurant in the corner after politely asking her to be moved outside to a table I saw she said it would be a 45 min wait which didn't seem accurate considering they weren't busy and had plenty of open seating. After sitting inside in the very back room corner of the restaurant about 5 minutes after we saw another couple that we happened to know sit in the exact seat outside that I asked for. After dinner we kindly approached the couple outside and asked if they made a reservation or did they just walk in they replied "we just walked in" . After telling them my experience they agreed that the same host was a little rude to them as well. This confirmed that it wasn't just us that she was rude to. Needless to say I will NOT be coming back to this restaurant and will alert my family, friends, co workers and clients NOT TO COME TO STIR. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THAT HOSTESS AND OVERALL EXPERIENCE. Thank God our server the gentleman with the spikey hair and black bandana on was good. Not to mention our food was cold! And had to send it back to be reheated so we could enjoy a hot dinner. I'm not the type to post reviews but this experience was so God awful. Don't waste your time.

When I tell you this restaurant need 10 stars + it really do yesterday was my first time eating there didn t know what to get lol so the waitress by the name of payden (I think I spell it correctly take it for love if I didn t ) was the best serve I ever had since being in Charlotte so was so nice and helpful did her job like she went over and beyond and I told her every time I come back I want her as my server the manager (Ryan) hands down the best the way how he interacted with us the entire night I literally just met him yesterday and felt like I known him for years they made us feel like family and I can guarantee just like how I told we will definitely be coming back he was awesome the restaurant definitely got my blessing

Update: After contacted by management, I have to say that STIR definitely made a 180 and lived up to the excellent experience that I have heard from friends!!!! My boyfriend and I decided to give STIR another try last Saturday night and they were busy as one could be expect in South End but the attention to detail and service was spectacular. Our waitress Brooke was absolutely amazing and recommended just the right drinks and appetizers. Those around us were also receiving drinks and food in a timely fashion. We were greeted by managers who ensured we would have a wonderful time and we had just that. We will definitely be back soon!! Thank you STIR for a great night. If you're want a great place to order drinks and amazing appetizers definitely give STIR a try.

I honestly hate to be that person...I went to STIR a week ago to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and it was honestly the worst experience I've ever had since I've moved to Charlotte. We arrived and the place was a little packed for a Monday night. We ordered our appetizers which were AMAZING!!! The samosas were divine however we ordered drinks before the appetizer and they took forever to arrive at the table. My first drink the Strawberry Moon Sangria was bitter and didn't have any flavor. When I spoke with the waitress she stated that "it probably needs to be stirred". I of course sent it back at that point my boyfriend and I were finished with our appetizers and still waiting for another round of drinks. I asked the waitress (Kirsten) when my boyfriends drink would arrive and her answer was always it would be on the way. It was 8 PM at that point. His drink did not arrive until 8:35. After the main course which was subpar compared to the appetizers we wanted to order more drinks at this point it was 8:40 we asked Kirsten to order another round and her answer was that by 9 PM STIR had to shut the bar down and she's already done last call (which she never stopped by our table to do). I told her that if the bartender could make the drink before 9 we would have it finished and handed back in a timely manner and still she would not serve us. I honestly did not like her attitude from the moment I asked her to create an ice sphere she told us that she was really busy and would see if she could get her hands on it in order to present it to us. I really wanted this place to better than what I experienced. The atmosphere is there, the food was there (for the most part) but the service and drinks were horrible. To spend over $140 and leave dissatisfied was not in my plan for his birthday night. It will definitely be a while before I come back or recommend anyone for a special occasion at this establishment.

Cool new spot in South End with fun cocktails and custom ice cubes.

Tried a couple apps, both were good. Sliders and truffle fries. Would like to go back to try dinner or brunch entrees.

They validate garage parking for 2 hours.

The Salmon cakes and Truffle fries were amazing! Will be going back.

Going to try out lunch or just drinks and apps next time before going "all in" for dinner.
Our dinner entrees: the goat cheese ravioli with the perfectly cooked filet had a citrus pesto underneath it - yes citrus - which I had to point out to our server whom was just as surprised as we were when they confirmed with the kitchen. Unfortunately, not a good surprise as it did not compliment the goat cheese whatsoever and the veggie medley didn't help the cause. The french fries were soggy on the other steak plate we ordered, yikes. The Caesar wedge was a hit though! Good wine list, cocktails and the overall vibe was outstanding! Too bad the food wasn't up to par and the wait staff should know what's in the ingredients when asked, considering the price tag.

Phenomenal as always....scallop and shrimp mac n cheese is my favorite entree!
