We really wanted to like this place! But the drinks just weren t up to par - don t get the Old Fashioned - and the service was just okay. Three of the bartenders stood gossiping without their masks on while we waited for our drinks. It was also off-putting how often they touched their masks to remove them so they could talk to each other and then went back to pouring drinks and adding fruit bare handed.
We work nearby and hoped to make this our new drinks spot! But if you want a cocktail that actually has bourbon in it and isn t watered down, go somewhere else.

Alyssa D was our server and we couldn t stop laughing and having an awesome time.Im big on service and she was amazing! Her suggestions were perfect. Shrimp n grits, oysters, chicken caprese were everything! 5- star dining type of meals! The chef is amazing by far! So glad we stopped by! Drinks were off the chain! Can t wait to come back!
I went there last week for my birthday and it was a great time. My waiter Connor Haggerty truly made me feel like it was the best birthday I have ever had. My family and I are from out of town but he made us feel at home. Will definitely be going back!

Great atmosphere! Jason was wonderful! The food was amazing. Celebrated a pre-birthday celebration with family and I had a good time. The mimosas were great and the food was amazing! The Charleston omelet and waffles was great!
The drinks and food were delicious but the service was horrible. The waitress was rude and the manager made it worse. All in all the food was a 5 but the service was a 1.
Great food, the best shrimp and grits for me! We had the gluten free chocolate cake which was small but its rich so just the right size! We had reservations and they took us immediately. We will go back!

First time here. Went with my girls for brunch. Which is from 10:30-12:30 I think. Waitress was super nice. Checked on us a lot and made sure we were okay. My tip reflected that good service. Her name may have been Morgan. Not sure. They usually have a Buffett of food for appetizers she said. COVID makes that a no go. So they bring out a long plate with 4 different foods on it. Mimosas, mimosas, and more mimosas!!! Love it!!! They are $2 and $4. OJ, cran juice and pineapple juice are the choices. Food was great! No one at the table completely finished theirs. We were tooooo full. Lovvvveee the atmosphere! It s super clean and modern. Lots of light! Would definitely recommend! It looks to be a good date spot also. I parked in the rail yard parking. Super Easy!
The food was very good but the staff was so rude it took away from how outstanding the food the was. If I ever go back I will only do a to go order or make sure the people that was there during my visit not working!!!
I don t know where to start from the food to the service our server Jamie was a-freaking-mazing the food was soooooo good and the mimosas were top shelf this is definitely where me and my girls will be getting brunch from now on
The food was great, the service was better. Our first time in Charlotte and Connor made us feel so at home. We were here celebrating our friends newest divorce and he hooked the boys (old men) up. Hell of a start to the night.
It's okay. Seafood heavy menu and some classics with a new interpretation kind of miss the mark.
Considering they feature the ceviche (3 different types) I was really surprised to find them all kind of flavorless, or with mismatched flavors which caused a poor taste experience. The Peruvian style with corvina was barely edible, and had a very peculiar aftertaste. Ceviche, as you know, is chemically cooked using the acids in citrus, tomatoes and vinegars; usually this results in a tender, juicy and tangy refreshing delight. Today it was chewy and flavorless. This was true of the Mahi in the Mexican recipe, too and the Mahi. I give them credit for serving up a fried ceviche ball, but there wasn't enough flavor to offset the breaded fried coating. In addition, they were all sprinkled with large partially rehydrated hominy. I'm not sure what THAT was about. Skip it, or ask to try a bite before ordering.
The chicken piccata was also a miss, with nearly a 1/2 inch of breading surrounding the filet of breast. The featured flavor of piccata - lemon with capers - was difficult to find.
All in all, you hate to give a new restaurant bad marks, but they should have worked some of these links out by now. Is no one tasting this stuff when it leaves the kitchen? Further, the server was sweet but clueless. Again opening pains, but by now you've had enough time to iron out the kinks.
Had an awesome experience on the Patio at Stir! Our server, Cassandra and the bar manager, Jason were both very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed everything! Wine list could improve, but the hospitality makes up for it. We will be back for brunch for sure!
We walked in at 2:15 and the hostess refused to seat us, stating that there were reserved brunch tables only. I ask the host realistically with brunch ending at 2:30 pm, if she thought they would still make it. She said yes and all I could do is shake my head because I knew that was a lie. Instead with a snarky voice she said you can go to the bar and order. I spoke to the manager and he was able to give us adequate seating . When our food came everything was cold and the potatoes were burnt. They put us through all that as a paying customer. This was our first time receiving such bad service and honestly, we don t know if we want to go back.
What a great find. I had lunch here with my wife on a Monday holiday. She had the spicy tuna burger which was a really fresh piece of high grade tuna. I had the Mahi bowl with pineapple salsa with just the right amount of kick. Very modern decor with a great waitstaff. The fact they upgraded their air handlers to kill viruses is also a big plus. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant! Highly recommend for a great place to eat and relax. I was so impressed with our waiter, Johnny! He was so knowledgeable of the menu and so kind. He made our dining experience so special. I will definitely ask for a table where he is serving the next time I go there which will be very soon!

This place has excellent customer service, especially the manager, Jason! He was very attentive and enthusiastic. He noticed my steak was overcooked as it was leaving the kitchen. They still brought me the overcooked steak and said the new one would be out. The overcooked steak was delicious and when he brought my new plate, he brought it with his recommendation for another side and it was excellent as well! Definitely will be returning soon!
Roe was AMAZINGGGGG! she made sure that our entire party was taken care of to the highest degree, not to mention she was the sweetest. And the food was incredible!! But if you go, make sure to ask for Roe.
The atmosphere was real relaxed, huge bar selection the service was great. I tried the samosas appetizer and also mkt price fillet with a side of Mac and cheese, it paired nice. The Mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. I Will be going again.
I give this place a 5 for the food but service is probably a 2. We asked our server for some suggestions for our entree and she practically read the whole menu to us. They had a sign at the entrance stating the bar would stop serving at 9 p.m. because of covid-19 restrictions. When we tried to order a second drink at 8:50 we were told the bar was closed. If you are going to change the rules on us maybe the servers should give a heads up. We went here to celebrate a birthday with a couple who had never been there before. I will go back simply because the food is so good, but please try to get some better servers.
I was skeptical at first of this new restaurant, but when I was welcomed at the door I was greeted timely and with great attitude, Alyssa D recommend multiple dishes which myself and couple guests with me ordered each of and none of us could believe what we were tasting! The fried green tomatoes were amazing. Our service was even better! Hannah was so sweet, and had the answers to all of our many questions. Ask for her to do an ice show! It was such a great experience. I will be back for the great service, amazing food and cocktails.
Stir is AMAZING! The ambience is so on point with the outdoor seating and scenery. Its so perfectly situated. Their $2 mimosas are perfect and the staff is nice and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone

Met a friend for brunch it was amazing! The atmosphere was awesome the Rockefeller Oysters were to die for and the mimosas that the bartender Meghan prepared kept me ordering the manager Jason took the time to check on us to ensure our meal was great! It was an overall great experience I will definitely be back!
Service is great, the place is really nice and I loved the bar set up. The drinks were good and the food was delicious. The steak and frittes and the scallops were delicious. Only negative mark was we called to make a reservation and were told they do not do reservations. And when we requested a booth inside were told it was reserved. Did not make much sense.
I ve been looking forward to trying out this gorgeous restaurant and unfortunately I was very dissatisfied. Our server didn t even tell us his name. His greet was pretty much What can I get you started with? I ordered our appetizers but my husband and I were still deciding on cocktails so I let our server know that. Moments later our apps were delivered by another server. In this time I was waiting for our server to return for drink orders. I had a few questions and wanted some guidance on which way to go so I decided to go in and speak to the bartender himself. He was very helpful. Once I got back to our table I waited a few more minutes before our server came back to the table to get our drink orders. We are pretty much done with our apps at this point. Now, I get it. I did tell him we needed more time for drinks but I went ahead and put my app order in. BUT there was 1 table seated inside and maybe 3/4 outside. No check backs to see how the apps were. There was a hair in my 1yr olds fruit that we needed to flag someone else down to tell. I don t know. Maybe our server was helping the kitchen prep. However the table behind us received impeccable service to the point where I told my husband that I wish we had him. We loved our drinks and our food was good as well. The service needs help. Besides the other tables impeccable server, the manager that came to apologize for the hairy fruit and the kitchen guy that was on his break outside that helped us out off the clock, everyone else looked like they did NOT want to be there. Just so dry and inhospitable. I may give STIR another try and just sit at the bar. Oh, and when we received the bill the fruit was still on it. When we mentioned that that wasn t accurate he asked us Who did you speak to about this? Your manager sir. Smh.
It was crowded but very well maintained. We sat outside it was beautiful. I ordered the smoked oysters ( ) and tuna poke bowl. I wouldn t eat here again beautiful presentation but no seasoning(salt or anything). My best friend had the tacos and white truffle fries. It was fail for her also.
Leaving bad reviews for a restaurant is a petty move support local businesses, or just don't go back. Leaving a 1 star review is weak loser way to go about life.
Loved it! Went for brunch, there was a brief wait, which was to be expected. The host encouraged us to grab drinks from the bar and wait in the courtyard which was beautiful. Our server was very sweet and quick. The food was awesome, seasoned just right. Love the ambiance. Definitely going back.
I will definitely be coming back! The Vegan Poke Bowl was super fresh and delicious. Also, you have to try their cocktails. The Viva La Astral is probably the best cocktail I have ever had. It s refreshing, the perfect combo of sweet and sour with a spicy after finish. My waitress, Jamie gave world class service and even performed an ice show (not on the menu, gotta ask for it)! All and all a great experience and will be coming back for more.
Nice atmosphere. Great staff and management. Food was good - didn't really care for their chocolate cake, but everything else we ordered was really good. Drinks were potent as hell - which is never a bad thing.
Came for Sunday brunch and I can say I will definitely be coming back! The service was fast and amazing! Cassandra took great care of us and made our experience memorable. She was so enthusiastic and made sure everything was perfect for us.
This was my first time visiting this place. I enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress was great and attentive. The brunch menu was pretty decent but I would have liked for them to have pancakes, but that's my own personal issue lol. The drink menu was pretty diverse but I think the pricing was on the high side even though they did have some exclusive bottles. Overall, I'd say it is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Southend.

Hostess was rude, the manager or owner was rude. Only saving hope was the waitress and bartender...they were kind and attentive. For the ridiculous prices, the food was sub-par. If you're going to have bad service, then at least have good food and prices to make up for it. I won't return and will down this establishment at every opportunity. You're in the service industry, do better.
It pains me to say that my dinner experience here was a complete let down. I would like to advise people to NEVER come to this establishment if there life depended on it. We had rice older than my great grandmother's dead dog. The atmosphere was that of a kennel for dogs aswell. We had small portions and after our dinner left hungrier than when we went in. This place sucks.
We went for brunch on Sunday and Cassandra was our server she was an absolute pleasure what a wonderful experience we will be back and in hopes that we can have her as our server every time!
