Driver Todd was very friendly and willing to help out after a fender bender. I was very happy with their turnaround and friendly service. Hopefully won't have to use them again but I know who I'll call if I do.
Rude Drivers. Triple A should not use them. We were told they would call when there were on the way and they never did. The driver told me he does not have to do anything because he is the driver. This attitude cost him a twenty dollar tip. Very bad Customer service do not use them.
$240 for the tow+$25/day.....you can have the but refuse to let anyone collect the car seat and items inside? Owner has been incarcerated since mid month and they don't even offer some type of smaller cost to collect personal items!! Refused to give owners name to try and speak with a reasonable adult....this company needs to be burned to the ground for the karma they put out!
These guys are awesome! We use them frequently for our business and they do a great job for us every time. Never anything they have not been able to rescue for us.
Ron the tow man was INCREDIBLY sweet and pleasant to work with. They were also very QUICK and RESPONSIVE to any questions I had. I recommend this place to those who don t know who to trust or rely on!
I was very thankful for these guys today. My son and I slid off the road, Onstar was jerking us around and told us it would be a 2.5 hour wait for a tow in below freezing temps, then they cancelled that tow and booked us with one that would be a 3 hour wait! We had already been waiting for over an hour and my son was getting pretty cold. I called Stillwater Towing and they showed up in less than 30 mins. The guy who came out to help us was awesome! Stillwater towing came to my place of employment to Change out a flat tire... the driver said he didn't have the right equipment to remove my spare! Really!? He asked for my equipment and then said he still couldn't remove it and left! I don't think he even tried.
Rick is probably one of the best roadside service providers that we have come across as an OTR trucking company. While his technician did not complete the repair properly, Rick stood behind the repair and the additional costs that we incurred caused by his technician's mistake. I would highly recommend him to any other carriers that need service in that part of the country. In today's world, finding owners and businesses that stand behind their work is almost impossible, and Rick proved that his reputation is more important than a short term gain.

Beware! This company will rip you off!! I work for an insurance agency. Our client called Stillwater towing to get her car off the road and to a repair shop after she went into a ditch. They told her they had no one available at this time. They then went and picked up her car and took it to the impound lot. she s been charged over $700 to get it out.
You'd think after an emotional accident a company could be kind and caring. Unfortunately, this one is not. We will not be using this company ever again.
Typical high priced situation to get your car released. The employees I dealt with were very patient and kind. I had memorabilia in the car and without paying the mechanic on the lot Let us get it and this before any money exchange! Great service
Not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about. Stillwater Towing has always been prompt, courteous, and professional. They are reasonably priced and we have used them numerous times when one our vehicles has left us stranded.
Battery died in Stillwater Medical parking lot. Made a call and within 5 minutes they were there and starting the car. Minimum call charge appears to be $85.
I ve used these guys in the past but, today one of their drivers (balding guy with beard) majorly cut me off at the light at Osgood and 36 in Stillwater. I was in a long line of traffic waiting to turn left onto 36 and as I was going their driver zoomed in and cut me off nearly hitting the passenger side where my daughter was sitting. On 36 he yells at me that I was supposed to turn at the frontage road? Wait...what?! This driver must ve been a real moron as anyone who knows this intersection know hardly anyone blocks the frontage road while on Osgood!! Learn to drive!!!!!

Very expensive. Was told my tow would cost 350!called a different company that did it for 150.tow man from this company basically was calling me dumb and was incredibly rude and had a additude.
Recommend Stillwater Towing! Had my car towed out of Hilltop Service to my new auto repair shop of choice in River Falls. Good communication and happy with their timely service.
They charged $480 for a simple tow and when questioned about the extra $150 fee tacked on for special equipment needed (wench) they refused to give an answer. This is a dirty outfit!!!!

Car broke down and called Stillwater towing and they were able to get to us within an hour on what was likely a busy and cold night. They towed the vehicle to a shop and the tow rate was very reasonable compared to other places. The driver was friendly and even though we gave them all the info over the phone he asked us when we got there all the car info and where to tow it to etc not a big deal but seems like that info doesn't get relayed to the drivers which might be nice so they don't have to ask all these questions a second time. We lived close to where the car broke down so got a ride home and they called us when the tow truck was about 5 minutes away so we wouldn't have to wait at the car in the cold. Showed up at about the same time as the driver and paid him and he bedded the vehicle and dropped it off at the shop. So overall good experience and will use them again which we did when the shop was unable to fix the vehicle so they towed us a much longer distance probably 17 miles and the rate was again reasonable.

Hit something on Highway 94, eastbound, approximately 3 miles west of Hudson, Wisconsin at 7:30 PM, coming from the airport after a vacation.
My two tires on the right side immediately flatted. I pulled over on the shoulder and called 911. Stillwater towing was dispatched and a very responsible driver arrived, towing us to our house in Wisconsin. Could not have been more pleased with the service.
Rude people. Overly priced. Got into an accident and they towed our car without consent. 500 dollars and are only open 2 hours Sat and Sun, with an extra 50 dollars a day fee. This place is horrible and will rob you.

I upgraded their rating to three stars after AAA sent them again for another battery issue yesterday (11-21-20). The guy yesterday was super friendly (Josh), explained things well, and gave me some seemingly good advice.

I give them two stars for calling to tell me their arrival time and being friendly. The rest is just sad.
Bought a battery from them in March for the same car/same reason; bad battery. They replaced it and said the old one was the wrong amperage/voltage or whatever and sold me the one that lasted from mid March until two days ago. Guy came out to jump it and said the starter was bad. But he was able to jump start it. Not being quick witted about it, I just nodded and thanked him for the help. Thought about it later and realized if the starter was bad he couldn't have jump started it. Checked on Google and confirmed that. So either he lied or is incompetent.
Drove it to my usual repair place and paid for a new battery. Could've turned it in to AAA for a replacement since it was under warranty, but the hassle and not trusting them led me to decide to just call it lesson learned: In emergency I'll use AAA for towing and jump starting, but never buy a battery from them again, nor trust what they tell me is wrong...
Had to wait over an hour and a half to get our belongings from our car because they have no attendant at the lot. They're main building is only 5 miles away and they had to send a tow driver to let us in. Dispatcher needs to work on his customer relation skills. Otherwise they towed our car just fine. Pretty high priced as well.

Locked my keys in my work van yesterday. Called Stillwater Towing and they were they within 15 minutes to unlock it so I could continue on my work day. Worst towing service right after Sullivan's. Literally wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. Rude management, might as well just rob you at gun point with their prices. $75 to tow a car 10 feet in a parking lot. Please save your time and go to any other towing service. Truly scum bags especially if you aren't from Maine.

Had to have my car towed out of my driveway due to an oil problem. I have AAA so they covered the cost, however, Jim the tow truck driver was incredibly nice and helpful. He went out of his way to be kind to me and I greatly appreciated it with the weekend I had. I hope his kindness and great attitude is recognized at Stillwater Towing because he could have easily just towed my truck and left it at that. He made the not so great situation I was in better and one I won't forget just by simply being a nice person. If you're reading this, thank you!

My experience with Stillwater towing was the worst experience I have had with any company. My car went into the ditch during the large April snow storm of 2018. I had the friendly fair priced jerry's towing of Roberts on the way to retrieve my car. Stillwater towing intercepting my car in the meantime without informing me. I was first very confused as to where my car had gone and had to track it down. Once found I was told that I would have to pay more than double the price that the other company had told me I would be charge which I thought was fair. Stillwater Towing was unwilling to price match the other price I was planning on paying. Rick the owner is nothing but a money hunger thief that will nickel and dime you for every penny you have. I can not believe he charges such high prices and can sleep at night. Not to mention I am a college student that he could not help out with anywhere near a fair price. I would not recommend this company to anyone and do not believe that deserve anyone's money or time of day.
They saved me in the latest cold snap. I had a truly dead battery. Luckily I was at home when it was discovered. But how to get the new battery to my house? I called and even though they were fully booked and ready to close up shop on a Saturday, they asked their battery guy (who was already out on a call) if he was willing to do one more housecall battery installation and he said yes. Nicest guy ever shows up and replaces my battery in 10 minutes. And the pricing was by the book. They could easily have taken advantage under the circumstances but they didn't. I am eternally grateful.
