Very nice walk, I enjoyed seeing all these old windmills, in spite of the cold and strong wind. Everything was closed because of the pandemic measures, but strolling around is still nice and relaxing and there are some information boards.

I visited this place twice, both luckily not on a busy season. It's a great place for family , just walk around the canals and the windmills. Some exhibitions available if you are want to know more.

If you're interested to find out how the Dutch managed to tame the ocean, this is the place to start. Downside is they lacking restroom, but i can understand as this is a world heritage site , so it must be preserved as it is.

I've come here multiple times in different seasons. I have to say that today Kinderdik was at its best. The whole canal was frozen solid. People ice skating everywhere made it something special.
I recommend coming here any time of the year as well, it is always beautifull to see.

I have been there twice now, and each time brings a new amazement. It truly feels like one has stepped back in time. As a tourist, to just walk around (be weary of the bicycles coming through) and take in the age of the windmills, and to understand the history, is truly breathtaking.
When I go back to the Netherlands, I will try my best to visit again.

Amazing landscapes and incredibly amusing bike trail. It's highly suggested to bring your own bike or to rent a bike there. The cycle lane is long and goes across the windswept fields and offers astonishing views of windmills.

"Kinderdijk is a spectacular site with 19 windmills. In fact, it is the only place in the world with so many windmills so close together.
The Kinderdijk windmills are close to the port city of Rotterdam and the oldest city in Holland, Dordrecht. We also recommend a visit to the nearby National Park De Biesbosch: a unique freshwater tidal area with extraordinary fauna and flora.
The mills are a bit small inside. There are some rooms where you can see how people used to live in the mills. A small staircase takes you up to the other floors of the mill and you can walk through the whole interior. It is impressive to see how the axles and wheels work. Adults pay 8, children 4-12 pay 5 and 0-3 are free.
It is not a very large area, but if you want to exercise and see it first, you can rent a bike at the entrance, although it is not bad on foot. It is not heavy.
