Beautiful landscape consisting of very beautiful gardens with flowers and plants, an orchard, meadow with small cattle, a park with special trees, a swampy forest where you can walk on scaffolding surrounded by wide fields. The whole is well maintained. You can get something to drink in a shop.

Historical airplane show with all kinds of old planes that could be seen flying, blocked by these crazy hippies at Vliegpark Soesterberg. Really too sad for words this! It is a historic air base not a duck gathering place.

About Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap

Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap: Protecting Nature and Heritage in the Province of Utrecht

Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap, also known as Utrechts Landschap, is a non-profit organization that has been protecting nature and heritage in the province of Utrecht since 1927. With over 600 volunteers, 24,500 members (known as Beschermers), and 62 corporate sponsors (known as Bedrijfsvrienden), this organization is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this region for future generations.

The mission of Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap is to acquire land and buildings that have significant ecological or cultural value. Once acquired, they work to restore or develop these areas so that they can be enjoyed by the public. This includes maintaining hiking trails, restoring historic buildings, managing wildlife habitats, and much more.

One of the unique aspects of Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap is their focus on both nature conservation and cultural heritage preservation. They recognize that these two areas are interconnected - preserving natural landscapes often involves protecting historic structures or artifacts. For example, many of their properties include ancient castles or estates that have been restored to their former glory.

In addition to acquiring land and buildings for preservation purposes, Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap also works with local communities to promote sustainable development practices. They believe that it's important for people to live in harmony with nature rather than exploiting it for short-term gain.

One way they achieve this goal is through education programs aimed at children and adults alike. These programs teach people about the importance of biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture practices, renewable energy sources like wind turbines or solar panels etc.

Another way they promote sustainability is by encouraging visitors to use public transportation when visiting their properties instead of driving cars which can contribute significantly towards air pollution levels in urban areas around them.

Overall Stichting Het Utrechts Landschap plays an essential role in protecting natural landscapes while promoting sustainable development practices throughout the province of utrecht . Their dedication towards preserving both ecological diversity & cultural heritage makes them a valuable asset not only for locals but also tourists who want an authentic experience while exploring this beautiful region!
