$30 for Adults, pricey but alot of shows and interactions. Alot of things for children and alot of adult humor. Glass blowing is beautiful and educational. Food is pricey but delicious! Everyone was so nice! Pickles HUGE and so yummy. Same with the peanuts and spicey jerky!

I have been coming here for over 30 years and through all the changes i have seen things that I still love and things that i think need improvement. This year was the most disappointing visit in 10 years. The parking staff was rude which didn't set the day up great. Adult tickets were $30 a piece which, in the past, I felt was worth to cost. We tried to sit through several shows but they just weren't very engaging. Even the mud show fell flat. I expect to pay a lot for food but the prices for the poor food quality was outrageous and they ran out of many items (salt potatoes, salad, shortcake) early in the day. The food production of the items left was poorly managed creating really long lines for food. Folks! I love your place, I want to see you succeed and I want the best for the handmade artisans at the faire, but you need to fix some major declining aspects of this attraction.

Actually got my acting roots being Friar Tuck here over a couple dozen years so I am a bit partial. Great place to meet up with old and new friends. Lovely people and settings, great fun for the kids especially. Food and beverages are pretty high priced but usually very good. I still try to get back at least one weekend when I'm up that way.

Fun time. Lots of activities, and some entertaining shows. I enjoyed shooting the bows. The Harmless Danger jiggling show was funny and entertaining, as was Dan, Duke of Danger.
My only complaint is that the staff member by the throwing axes had a bit of attitude towards people. It's one thing if you're not feeling well, but it's another to take it out on guests.
Overall, a great time. Would definitely go again.

The Sterling Renaissance festival provides a bounty of good food and entertainment. Upon entering the festival one feels totally immersed in a different culture, and the actors make sure of that. They never break character, are dressed in elegant and historically accurate costumes, and constantly interact with the visitors. They all seem to enjoy their jobs and are nothing but friendly to the visitors. The shows are all entertaining and the shops are filled with different and equally interesting crafts. Not to mention the setting; the trees provide shade, making it cool and comfortable, and provide protection from rain(it has rained every year I have gone!) The festival is amazing and I have had an amazing time every single year I've gone!

A lot of new acts and not the best it has to offer. Most of the older acts either retired or were not picked back up for one reason or the other. It really isn't near as good as it has been in past years.

I have went a few years in a row. This is a pretty large Renaissance Festival. There are a lot of food options and a ton of shows. The Highlight is really watching all of the shows. There are around 10 of them going on at any given time throughout the weekend. They have been adding on to it every year for a long time. There are a lot of permanent structures that really helped give it more of a Renaissance feel. The whole thing is inside of large Pathways cut throughout the woods so it's helps add to the feel as well.

Very expensive, but a lot of fun. A note to those with small children - the shows are very funny, and many are child appropriate, or even designed for children, but a good number of shows may be a little too raunchy for kids.

Amazingly unique time to spend with your friends and family. Bigger than you can even imagine, prepare yourself to be completely taken into the world of the renaissance. With shows being conducted in every corner of the festival, you are sure to laugh, and walk away well entertained. Don't forget to get your giant Turkey leg and try out all of the AMAZING other food that you will find.

I have gone to the Renaissance Festival here a few times and loved it! Totally worth the 2 hour drive to spend the day here. The actors are entertaining and there are lots of things to do. Also, there are a variety of vendors with a lot of items. There are expensive items, but there are also more moderate prices things too.

Was my 3rd time at the Faire.. had a good time as I've had before. Only 4 stars as I thought it was odd that I wasn't able to buy tickets to get in, at the front gate, at 10am... with cash.

Cannon went off, people were going in and quite a few of us were waiting outside to buy tickets while the 3 lines that were open to buy them were only accepting credit cards.

This is my 3rd year going. Love the jousting, good is great. Turkey legs seem to be a sleep trap for us but none the less they are delicious. People always interact with you. Are favorite character is the gentleman with the ball and chain. Must go to understand

The grounds are amazing, the food is creative, and the music is great. The only problem is that it is very difficult to plan a day of just clean, family friendly events.

Even the shows that aren't marked mature on the online guide tend to contain a lot of sexual innuendo, and some of the shows were more violent than I think would be appropriate for young kids.

Also, some of the mature shows (which are towards the back of the venue) were loud enough that just walking by them, you could hear sexually explicit content. Just things to keep in mind if you have little ones or don't care for such things.

Great place to spend a weekend. Admission can seem fairly high if you haven't been there for several years or ever but the place is bigger than ever. You can spend all day just watching acts and never see them all not to mention seeing all the crafters. Lots of amazing things to buy. While it can be busy it isn't as well attended as it used to be when I went in the late 90s to early 00s so lines for food and beverage are shorter so less standing around waiting and more time relaxing and enjoying. If you haven't been it's worth the money and drive. Also a great time to bring the kids to.

Great fun. Bring your imagination. Lots of cosplay. All ages, kid friendly activities. Many shows, shopping, food and cool stuff. Free parking. Charge for admission. Lots of walking on dirt and gravel paths. You can't bring in water so bring your money. Modern restrooms.

This place should be ashamed of itself! After spending over $100 to get in for 2 adults and 2 kids, we find out that everything you do inside costs more money. Ridiculous! The only thing that is included in the ticket price are the shows. And the shows were a big disappointment too. They note on the program which ones are not appropriate for kids but we found that even the ones that said they were appropriate for kids all ha inappropriate sexual innuendos, that probably went over the kids' head but made for a very boring show for the kids and uncomfortable for the adults. Really people, can't you just make a clean show! The only one that we enjoyed that was completely clean was The Tynker Family Circus. Don't waste your precious money on this place. I remember it being a great time about 20 years ago; the new ownership has severely disappointed. W e will not be going back.

This is a great place to visit. There's live stage shows including jousting, musical performances, and sword fighting. The food is delicious and reminiscent of the Renaissance era. Turkey legs, fish and chips, and roast beef can be found here. It's great for children and adults. You can come dressed in period clothing or modern. Come meet Queen Elizabeth (you can even have tea with her) and celebrate a little bit of history in a unique way. The terrain is a bit rough however, so the elderly and physically disabled may have a tough time of it. Wheelchairs, strollers and scooters are allowed, but the ground is uneven and hilly. Still a fun place to visit!

Tons of fun. Pricing is a bit high. Bring tons of money if you looking to buy food and drink but heck was worth it in my opinion. Next time will bring a cooler and go out to the car and eat. Great place for all.

I came, I got a kilt, I blew an engine. No, the last has nothing to do with the festival but I offer it up as possibly coloring my opinion. Was entertaining enough, but small and not a lot to grab your attention. I would probably go again but unlikely more than once a year.

Corporate seems to have crept in... instead of a legit marketplace of local vendors, there are a handful of "stores", which are simply repeated throughout the area. This, combined with the cost to get in, and I was left with a frustratingly bad taste in my mouth. Seems I missed the glory days of what used to be a local treasure.

I spent an amazing summer at this fair! I worked selling hammocks for a couple who also made furniture and artwork with chainsaws! The grounds were nice and shady and the vendors, very talented and friendly. I was surprised how many people I knew from other fairs around the country! What a great time I had. I will go back soon!

A nice little Renaissance Festival with quality entertainment and actors. Highly suggest for any Rennaisance Faire aficianado or someone who is looking for something unique to do with friends or family. There is something for everyone. RenFaires. Not just for nerds anymore (though it helps)

If you are into this sort of thing I suppose it's great. The actors are genuine and do a good job of staying in character. The food service is terrible and that is being kind! Not only is it not very good but it is WAY Overpriced! And the service is SLOOOOOOW. I would not go here hungry if you can avoid it. Be prepared to pay $15 each minimum for food and still be hungry!

Lots of fun activities, human-driven rides, shows, and things to spend money on! Actually has some really good, unique vendors. Very expensive food options ($10 for a brownie with ice cream?). But really, it's like a carnival, but for the 1560's. Sword swallowers, comics, death-defying acts (ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration), tarot readers and much more. Of course, you can't leave without seeing the jousting match!
