Although it is getting on in years, it is a nice hotel. We were there for the second time and the next vacation is already planned ;-) And exactly here again, in Al Dau. You can find everything there to relax and enjoy your holiday, and the whole team who takes care of everything helps. Whether in the hotel, at the pool area or on the beautiful beach, you will be served with a smile. The food is varied and very good, whether in the hotel or on the beach. We spent a great holiday in August 2015 at the Steigenberger Hotel Al Dau. All employees, no matter in which area, have always tried to look after us and receive great respect from us. This complex should continue to be looked after so that many holidaymakers can still enjoy it. Special thanks go to the organizer at the hotel with whom we booked the snorkeling. Highly recommended, great DVD received!

Great hotel. Gorgeous green vast territory with a golf course. To die all the vacationers were Germans, very friendly and quiet people after 40 years basically. The service is at its best: several restaurants, a varied menu, a lot of beef, make grill, individually cooked, it s definitely not possible to be hungry. Food delivery to the room, if not in time for lunch - the chef cooked individually. Everywhere in the community. sanitation toilets and in front of restaurants. I was surprised that the staff didn t go for tips, the hotel forbids them, and if you want to express to the staff separately thanks in money, you will have to formalize them officially and in writing. On the beach there is a wonderful restaurant serving drinks to the sun loungers. It s difficult to see the fish upset in the sea, because it s not deep, and it s wonderful for the children to swim. In the evenings, live music in the lobby.

Everything at a high level, service pampers guests at every step. And a treat for music lovers: live concerts on the piano or saxophone, etc. Even on vacation, something for the body and something for the soul. I would recommend !!!

A very luxurious hotel. The staff is really great and very friendly only the salesmen are sometimes intrusive and quickly angry, but there is the beach security that fixes everything immediately. The only drawback to the hotel is the beach, but a huge pool as compensation.

A 5 star Steigenberger which lives up to its name. We have already been to this hotel twice and are always surprised. Service, gastro, facility, staff and the overall package simply deserved the 5 stars. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained. Extra pillow in the closet, slippers and simply everything your heart desires. When we were in this hotel for the first time in 2012, there was only one computer room with internet access, now there is wifi throughout the hotel and even on the beach. The staff is very attentive, friendly and very accommodating. The evening program is varied and there is something for everyone. However, if you prefer to have some peace and quiet, you can retreat to the lobby and let the evening fade away. What I particularly liked was the pool area. Not only is it very large and spacious, but also the fact that you cannot reserve a lounger YAY you go to the pool with your towel card and someone goes with you, who covers the beach chairs with the towels and opens the parasol. No pensioners who reserve the loungers at 6 and only go to the pool around noon: -D
Every few minutes someone comes by and asks if and what you would like to drink. Also fruit fresh juices are offered. The ala carte restaurants are really very recommendable, especially the ALEX we really liked. The hotel's own beach is really well-kept and clean. However, everyone who has ever been to Hurgadha knows how the beaches are there. For those who don't know, they're very flat. You have to walk very far out to have your belly button underwater at all: -D Unfortunately there is no house reef there, but the pool bar makes up for everything: ;-D I can really only recommend the hotel and I'm looking forward to my next visit in the Steigenberger.

We stayed at the Steigenberger Al Dau for a week in November. We are absolutely satisfied and can only recommend this hotel!

The rooms are very nicely designed and what was important to us, very clean. The park around the hotel is very elaborate and designed with a lot of heart - kudos to the gardeners.

The choice of food is also very good and varied and the dishes that are offered are of high quality.

All employees of the hotel were very friendly and by no means intrusive, as you have unfortunately seen elsewhere in Egypt. We would especially like to praise the evening waiter Abanoub who always looked after us in a very friendly and courteous manner.

We would love to come back!

No possibility to walk on the beach because tiny. No snorkeling because no fish. Too many boats passing. located right next to the marina ... but very nice and big pool.

Bad ... This is my first night and it s worse hotel ever .. check-in took 2 hours. Food is not good
You have to reserve at least 12/24 hours in the hotel restaurant otherwise you are stuck with what ever is available
Rooms are not clean
There is no hot water in the shower
And internet is only allowed for 2 devices when they charge us for 3 people in each room ...
I m so disappointed and feel that my vacation and relaxation has been ruined.. I traveled all the way to get this

We spent a wonderful vacation here. The facility is very open, but designed without long distances.
The beach is very clean and the wind protection on the loungers is very well thought out. So everyone has a small "island" just for themselves. The loungers are not close together, which is very nice.
The food is excellent (to the chagrin of the figure), the themed restaurants can only be recommended.
The very spacious rooms are just gorgeous.
The whole area is extremely clean.
We will definitely be back, because we have hardly experienced such a wonderful vacation.

There was detrioration from the first minute at the hotel,the workers people at the reception was aggresive,erogant,disgusting and not helpful.I advice not to reserve at this hotel anymore.

I was in pure life style hotel next to ALDAU and you will get the access to 3 hotels including ALDAU

Well first of all this is definitely not a 5 star hotel American or European standards, I was there for 13 nights with my family on vacation from Germany just two days in to it I got sick stomach problem, two days later my daughter got sick with the same problem vomiting and diarrhea , the food is absolutely not delicious and very much the same every day , so we end up eating lots of rice and apples daily, the coffee at the bar is instant coffee not made by a professional coffee machine but just a spun of coffee in the cup and then hot water on top of it
Downstairs in the dining area where the people eat the tables and chairs are very filthy, the coffee cups are broken and so are the coffee pots, the rooms are fairly clean but ready for Renovation, outside the pool is ok and clean the beach is also ok all Dow the water is dirty some times, staff is ok friendly but just a few professionals, the other Restaurants are not great we went one night to Alexander I ordered a steak well done and I got medium , sorry but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone i know, they need to step up the quality and services all over the place if they charge European prices they need to give European standards

Outstanding hotel, the biggest swimming pool in Harghada. The stuff are very friendly and supportive. All hotel is very clean and look like it's very new.

Family deep relaxation

We had 3 fantastic relaxing weeks at Al Dau Steigenberger.

What did we particularly like?
- the complex is huge and you never get the feeling that the hotel is full - even though it was. In addition, the area is perfectly maintained by the army of gardeners.
- The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. We particularly liked the child-friendly waiters at breakfast (Mena Tharwat and Manal Bebawy) and at lunch (Ahmed Fathy). On the beach we were pampered by Mena Kamal with excellent ice-coffee frapes.
- Contrary to our fear, the food has not bored us even after 3 weeks. The 5 a la cart restaurants (3 x Japanese, French and Lebanese) ensure a great variety in combination with the diverse themed evenings in the buffet restaurant.
- the rooms are spacious and offer enough space even for a family with 3 children (age 1.5, 4, 6).
- the sea with its thousands of different fish that can even be explored by snorkeling directly from the hotel beach: is like entering another world. We have Arabian boxfish, puffer fish, etc. also saw a giant puffer fish, sea turtles, rays and many more.
- that in all-incl. Sports offer with kayak, beach games, beach volleyball and the like gives you the necessary exercise.
- the pool area is unique and offers plenty of space for relaxation and fun.
- the air conditioning was very quiet and successfully brought our room to a comfortable 22 degrees (adjustable). So we had super relaxed nights.

The only lowlight is the externally operated sports and surf provider. Both the friendliness and the English / German knowledge are poor and the billing method (excessive bill) cast a bad light on the otherwise perfect hotel.

We can only recommend the hotel and will be back if Hurghada is on the program.

Great hotel !!! Dream holiday!

Everything was right from start to finish! We were welcomed very friendly at the hotel, the suitcases were taken from us and we were accompanied to the reception. The reception there was also very friendly! Our room was beautiful. Balcony with a direct view of the sea and the pool area. Dreamlike! That was always perfectly cleaned, the minibar was always full and also cold. A fruit plate and 2 small bottles of wine were on the table as a welcome ...

The service is very important. The entire staff is extremely friendly, polite and courteous. The food was always very tasty, fresh and there was definitely something for every taste. If you have something to complain about about it, you have to be very spoiled ... The 5-course menu in the Andreas restaurant was the absolute highlight!

At the pool, as soon as you were there, water was brought directly to you and you were always asked if you wanted something else. Likewise on the beach. There I would like to emphasize that we were handed damp, chilled towels and the service staff went around and asked if you would like your glasses cleaned!

I could write for hours now ... For us the vacation in this hotel was an absolute dream vacation and we will definitely go there again!

A hotel that does not excel but is ok. The 5 stars it has do not match the 5 star hotels in Turkey.
