Extensive range of international books on humanities, in the original language, in the semi-basement. And from inside the bookstore you enter by going up the stairs to the main floor where there is a cafe-restaurant with a sunny terrace in the afternoons of spring and autumn. Boards, culture and gastronomy. With interesting book presentations by its authors, publishers and critics.

A good place to buy a book, let yourself be advised by its excellent bookstore staff. It is also a great place to have coffee, have a bite and have a quiet chat or read a book in your coffee shop. The cafeteria staff is also excellent. An island of peace, good coffee and culture in the heart of Barcelona.

A quiet, charming place of an old Barcelona, with books and coffee .... Without hurry ...

The menu is a bit expensive for what it offers, but the service is good and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Interesting books in the store.

Fun establishment that is part of a prestigious bookshop. Keep the distribution and the original elements of the house that was previously.
For lunch, the buffet is filled with appetizing salads, vegetables, pasta and an extensive variety of desserts.
Suitable for talks, reading and even studying, with books, all the newspapers and a lot of magazines available to everyone.
It welcomes many cultural initiatives and for that reason it is a meeting place for young writers, social gatherings for the presentation of books, painting exhibitions, live music sessions and other proposals.

A cafe on an ideal indoor terrace, very friendly staff and surrounded by books. What more could you want? (I wrote this a few months ago and scored with 5 stars, but I lowered it to 3 since I was two weeks ago to eat and it was disastrous). As I said the beautiful place and the waiters very attentive but the food very bad, first I asked for a rice that they told me was hot but they served me a dry rice and made a past pasta, inedible, second I ordered cod with sanfaina, I've to say that it tasted good but the presentation already threw me back, a piece of cod with a white mayonnaise sauce on top but cut (totally quartered) to no more power and all very cold, I thought maybe it was served cold but when I started eating the waiter came apologizing to remove the dish because by mistake they had brought me one without heating (Do you really have a good reputation in a restaurant with even the sauces and reheat them when serving? ), I stayed on a stone. They take note of the dessert and at the same time they ask me if I would drink coffee, I ask for a cut and they bring me this along with the dessert, so when I finished the dessert the cut was already cold. Very bad. For 21 that cost me the menu plus the cut (it was Saturday) this left much to be desired.

A haven of peace. On the ground floor is the bookstore with a great offer of novels, children's books, illustrated books, etc. On the top floor is the coffee a quiet place to have a coffee accompanied by a cake not a piece of cake and even eat.

Nice and interesting place. Good library-restaurant, and old fashioned atmosphere. Tasty food and good service. Interesting place: a good bookstore at the same time also a restaurant, a little modern style of cuisine and with traditions of products. I recommend that once you go there and order some good tea and also dinner.

It is not very expensive, great value for money ( 15 more or less with starter+main course+dessert). The meat was remarkably good! It still has me drooling and I tend to avoid ordering meat. Apart from main courses, it is a great place to have a coffee or brunch, as their cakes and sweets look tasty, and it is surprisingly quiet. Besides, the place is very cool and you'll enjoy yourself if you love literature and books, because on the first floor there's a bookshop while the restaurant is on the second (and appropriately decorated). It's worth the visit!
