I had a great car buying experience. No pressure, they listened to what I wanted, what my budget was and worked to get me a good deal. They were super busy but still gave me their 100% attention as I asked questions and took my time to think over things. Brian in sales was amazing and so was Craig in finance. They arranged everything and it was a very smooth process.

Steele Mazda knows how to book your appointment but they just don t know how to keep your appointment, and that s really the most important part of the appointment. Anybody can just book em.

So, I took a vehicle in today for a 10am appointment for an oil change and fluid top-up. Booked service appointment 2 weeks in advance. Arrived 10 minutes early so there would be no delay getting the vehicle in.

The service department attendant is very friendly and nice to deal with, as are all the people there. I expected service to take about an hour. Very reasonable for an oil change, which by itself only takes about about 30 minutes. Around 11:10 (over an hour after appointment time), I notice the vehicle being pulled out of the front bay beside the check-in desk. It s just going in for service, when it should be coming out finished.

Once noon rolls around (2 hours after my appointment time), I went to check on the vehicle and was told by the very nice lady at the desk that it was just being finished up.

The service was finally finished at 12:10. Over 2 hours for an oil change!!!!!! Seriously??!!

I see from the reviews that other people are having this issue. At Steele Mazda your appointment time really doesn t mean anything. Your car will go in whenever .

Be prepared to wait, WAAAAAY longer than you were expecting!! Your car might go in on time, or 30 minutes late, or 60 minutes late, etc....

Steele, if you re reading this, please change your booking system. Don t your customers deserve better than this? Don t be a Seinfeld episode.

Service was good and the coordinator at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. However, I had an 11:30 apointment for an oil change, winter tires switched to summer
and, at their suggestion, a wheel alignment. At THREE. o'clock I questioned.when the car would be ready. The lady at.the reception said she was just about to enter the paperwork. A.couple minutes later she tells me they have JUST taken it in for the alignment. I left there at almost 4. There reasoning is that their 'appointment' time is just for drop off and then you go into the line up. Three and a half hours to do an oil change and switch out the tires!!!! And another 45 minutes for the allignment. Guess my time isn't important. Suggest they let people know what they mean when you book an 'appointment'

I have had Mazda's since 2011, and I had a very easy transition in 2014 from my previous Mazda 3 to my 2015 CX-5. Very fast and reliable service work, and the Service Advisor, Adrianna is a pleasure to deal with.

I purchased a vehicle here previously - and I LOVE IT.

The sales team was excellent with a no pressure approach - I walked in late at night around 7pm, and bought the car before I left. They were extremely friendly and very approachable.

Service center is fantastic, starting with the ease of making an appointment with the co-ordinators on the phone. Service advisor was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly with and made me feel confident in having my vehicle serviced.

Overall I would recommend both sales and service to family and friends and cannot wait to come back for top notch customer service again. Thanks !

Easily the best experience anyone could've asked for. Not once did I feel like something was being pushed on me that I didn't want, whether it was in the financing part or actually looking through vehicles.

Rebecca was very polite, funny and overall great and easy to get along with and went out of her way to help me with any issue I had, she truly is a significant asset to this company.

The service side of things is just as good. Quick and efficient, straight to the point. Their videos that they produce showing what they're doing to your vehicle really make you feel like you're a part of the process and not missing out, while showcasing just how far along they are.

Great overall experience, these guys deserve all the praise they get.

Excellent experience with buying a used vehicle from Steele Mazda. Rebecca was absolutely patient with me while I waffled in indecision about which car I wanted, and got back to me straight away when I finally picked my car out! She's everything you want in a Sales person, warm, personable and knowledgeable about Mazda. It's a fine line to walk to be a supportive Sales person and not be pushy, and she walks it with ease.

I definitely recommend Steele Mazda and Rebecca if you're looking for a new or new to you car.

When I was looking for a car, I sent a msg on the website. The next business day I had a msg from Rebecca (she s amazing). She set up an appointment for me to come and test drive a car. I drove a 2018 Mazda 5cx, I dint know if I wanted that car. So I went home and thought about it. While I was doing that Rebecca checked in and I let her know I wasn t sure about it. She offered me the car for the night, you know to feel it out. I took the car on a drive not too far just a little one around town. I let her know I liked it but was a little nervous, I ve never bought a Brand new car. She said keep it till tomorrow and come see me and let me know . I kept the car and took it on a big drive and fell in love with it. I brought it in the next day for them to get it ready for me to bring home. I had the car in my driveway within the week. It s honestly the best purchase I ve ever made. If you want a sales person that caring, kind and passionate about what she does you need to go see Rebecca she s amazing, so happy I got to do business with her.

I'm on my second new vehicle with Steele Mazda, and have dealt with them for years now. But after my last service I will never return, nor would I recommend them to anyone. My last service left me and my 6 year old daughter stranded on the side of the highway no more than 20 minutes after leaving the dealership. Poor worksmanship was the issue. After paying the hundreds of dollars for very little work, which was done poorly, I had to take another day off work to deal with the mess.

My ex wrote off my car so we needed to get her a new one. We met uo woth Mike Hurd and had a wonderful experience. Very well done and treated with alot of respect. Ashley on finance was great, Graham the sales manager was very courteous and chris in detail cleanes our car perfectly and even fixed a scratch that i made myself. I highly recommend them.

I wish I could give Mazda a negative score. I paid for a belt tensioner that was installed wrong leading to a breakdown. It's been 13 days, 2 towtrucks, twor rentals out of my own pocket and I'm STILL waiting for Mazda to put on another belt tensioner. It's cost me an exorbitant amount of time and money just to be jacked around. I shall never have service done at this shop again and I would advise everyone else to take their business to someone with service and labor standards.

Poor service, especially with Krista (Assistant Service Manager).
On 17 December 2020, I brought in my 2017 Mazda6 GS-L to be inspected for the Smart City Brake System (SCBS) that failed. The safety feature is supposed to be operating when vehicle is in a slow motion (under 30km/h). My home dealer has provided their complete details and assessment for this matter, as well I've explained my concerns with numerous testing on close proximity with another vehicle in front of me and it did not work. Krista promised to escalate the issue and create a ticket to Mazda Canada, however, up until today, 19 January 2021, there is still no update. No emails, no phone calls, no voicemail, completely no information and care given to me as a customer. I had given the benefits of the doubt that there was Christmas holiday and New Year's holiday but a month for any response and update seems to be completely unacceptable. I strongly discourage people to purchase and/or serviced by Steele Mazda.

I went in after visiting another dealership close by, ready to buy a vehicle. I was set on a certain model and made this very clear to the fellow I delt with. He basically told me to stop wasting his time, and wouldn't even talk any numbers based on financing or what they would offer on my trade. Jokingly, he and his manager took my vehicle for a spin and were outside taking pictures and laughing at what my vehicle currently was. They will low ball you on any trade in offer. I had been shopping around and knew beforehand what my vehicle was worth, and they offered me $3000 lower than the other lowest bid (which ended up being $10,000 lower than the highest bid!!). They politely told me to go f**k myself, shook my hand, and refused to talk any numbers. They obviously didn't want my business at all. Surprising. I'll buy my car elsewhere based on their unprofessional approach.

Bought a used vehicle early June. Took almost 2 months to have all issues rectified after multiple trips. Was promised tank of gas and detailing for problems. Dash wasn't touched and still had same dust and finger prints. Seems to be poor communications between departments. But they seem good at telling you what you want to hear.

Was really hoping there was a - Star rating for this place.
I was taken by all the high reviews on this dealer and from what I read this place was suppose to pretty decent.
Me and my family purchased a brand new 2014 Mazda 5 vehicle from there(with the 6 year Mazda warranty) and can honestly say that the service after sale that we received from there was well below what a person should expect and receive.
Numerous trips to this location over a matter of 2 years for the same issues(not fixed) had me dealing with 3-4 different service managers on the same issues; all with no intentions on rectifying the vehicles issues. I lost faith and respect for this dealership, Steele Group and Mazda Canada.
I finally broke down and took the vehicle to a trusted mechanic to have it looked at. $1000.00 later my car was semi kinda fixed....lol. The trusted mechanic said this stuff is most likely covered under warranty and you should take it to Mazda to have the remainer repaired as he felt I was throwing away good money on what could be covered under warranty.
So I pursued the dealer once again to be left wanting....status quo...lol
I then asked a friend (Mazda vehicle owner) who they take there vehicle too and they mention there was Mazda dealer on Robie St in Halifax(he had a few dealings with Steele Mazda but bailed on them also).
I visited that location today(31Aug 2018) @ 7:30am this morning and $165.00 later... .ta da! fixed! I had a great conversation with there service team(awesome to deal with and very friendly)
I am not writing this to try and discredit the Steele Mazda, Steele Group or Mazda Canada but to inform people that there are a lot better options in HRM and surrounding areas to spend you hard earned money. Remember the least that you should receive is service after sale!
This will ensure you have a reliable and safe vehicle for you and your family to enjoy.
Steele Mazda, Steele Group and Mazda Canada you have had numerous attempts to fix the issues with my vehicle but have not!

Thanks but no thanks to any future vehicle sales or service requirements!

Just financed a 2020 Mazda 3 Sport at Steele Mazda, it was an excellent buying experience. I was never pressured and the entire process was easy and convenient. Both Mike in sales and Sheila in financing provided great customer service, they certainly went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. Would highly recommend this dealership.

The staff at Steele Mazda always makes me feel welcome and special the moment I walk through the door. Polite, caring and respectful are just three words that come to mind. The service is done quickly and properly and most importantly, always on time. There is a reason that I have been a loyal Steele Mazda customer for so long and that reason is the staff (well that and the cars are so good as well).
