Packed college crowd on Wednesday nights during the summer.

I love the steel it has the best food in nova scotia they have all kinds of great food and the entertainment is always really good.

Not a bad spot. Beer was not cold though and not impressed with the grand slam. I'd call it more of a second base

Worst service ever received at a restaurant on more than one occasion

We went here the other day and the food was very good .... BUT it was a bit too expensive and the service was absolutely horrible it took about 45 minutes for the lady to come And take our order .... then another 30 for our food .... and we had to ask multiple times for our drinks to be refilled.... we had to ask for our bill and in total we were there for a quick lunch .... and we ended up being there for 3 hours which is unbelievable

Not the place it was 20 yes ago when I lived here but still a good place with the right crowd at night

Very relaxed afternoon setting which is why I drop by. Friendly smiling staff and friendly regular patrons.

I have never had a bad meal here. Its a large space and dark but that's a pub for you. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are fair for what you get. I am not sure if home cut fries are an option but if they were i would change this to 5 stars as i don't like the fries

Awesome place!! Watched some sports while jamming out to great music. Staff was super friendly and very sympathetic to my team's loss. They took great care of us. Highly recommend this place.

Food is good. Night life is only good one day a week but not enough music from top 40. Good for older crowds.

I don't know if we got different service because we were from out of town or what. We weren't told how to pay or who to pay or where to pay. The servers were generally pretty inattentive and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to serve. I mentioned to the server I have a severe allergy and she just kind of brushed it off and didn't seem very interested in making sure I could eat the food here. The drink server was pretty demanding - took my credit card and didn't really explain why - which was pretty uncomfortable.

Definitely wouldn't go back.

I went because of the Corned beef and cabbage special which was huge and delicious. The downfall is that it is a dive bar. You either pay cash as they serve you or you give them your credit card to hold until the end of your stay.

Too many 5 stars to mention. ..food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, price mark, location?......

Ambient place to be and Wednesday and game nights are awesome

One of the last true taverns. Draft beer and chicken wings are a staple here.

I ordered a steak, I couldnt figure out what kind of meat they actually served me. Im thinking it was a porkchop they were trying to pass off as a steak.

One of my places in sydney to have a drink. People are awesome.

Good food and atmosphere. Our server was pleasantly helpful. There was a local band on stage and they performed great songs at a good volume. The menu and prices are good. We will be back! Thx Brian Budden

Very rude and broke several laws during the course of our visit.

Went to Steel City for supper loved it, staff are super friendly, food is amazing will definitely go again service was amazing
