Do you guys have just the gym open right now? I see recent Instagram posts of people on your balcony and was just curious

Dead, dead, dead. And did I mention it's dead? Visited on a Thursday evening. Empty. Like, abandoned. This place was good a long, long time ago. So were rotary-dial phones and typewriters. Steamworks feels like that.

The worst gay sauna/bath I have ever seen in the world!! I have visited 30+ all over the globe and I'm a young muscular guy who always have good fun at such places. I don't know where to start.. but let me try warning you about all the strange things that can happen to you at this place which include the very bad 'hotel' concept, rude personnel, strange live "shows", completely dysfunctional and dirty bath areas:

1. The concept is so strange: You must pay extra for your own tiny room (with limited time) if you don't want to end up being not able to find a place where to date as the whole place looks like a hotel. So, no good common areas or bars, no places for people to socialize and basically impossible to meet someone as people wander around locked rooms in the narrow hall with no clear signs, you might even not be able to find your own room when you get a good guy in your hands.

2. Very rude personnel: First, they always have some issues with your debit/credit card and they cannot deal with it in a professional way, so expect to hear a lot of swears and screaming from the very beginning. No matter what you ask them, they are either not willing to answer or don't understand you well as some of them speak very poor English. But they are good at swearing for sure. Believe it or not, after all they do to you, at the end when you check out, they want you (beg you with their eyes showing the tip box) to give them the 5 dollar deposit which you get back. NO WAY!!

3. A weird live "show": In one of the rooms (122 when I was there) they have a live show of two "professionals" who have a very loud and noisy sex in order to attract the attention of people, but as the crowd approaches this open room, they immediately bang the door rudely!! Yes, they kinda want people to go away and open the door and continue with their loud sex once they realize there is no one around.. And then again the same story when people come back.. What a strange "show" that none is allowed to see and people are not only distracted from their socializing, they even lose the mood when they come closer to the door and suddenly BANG (the door is shut in front of their eyes). Those who get their rooms close to this room immediately want to switch to rooms far away. The personnel is again very upset by this and uses all kinds of bad words.

4. The area is very dirty, pools don't function well, the doors to the showers are hard to open, the showers work for only 2 seconds so you need to firmly press the button every 2 seconds in order to shower properly, no good signs around, you can easily hit your head in the dark rooms.

All in all, no good concept at all if you want to socialize and have a good time, rude personnel and weird live "show" (which is not a show at all) which destroy your mood and a very dirty and dysfunctional bath areas.

A go to place for having a great great time and when you feel lonely. It is fun on Saturday nights. Gets really good crowd.
Bath area and sauna area is good, relaxes the body. One can have unexpected and wonderful encounters inside, as it attracts really hot crowd. The place is fairly clean and lively. Worth every penny spent !

One suggestion - please include some uplifting and lively progressive trance music in the playlist.

Seriously this place need some well mannered stuffs. Today I went down to make a membership card at the check in time but the guy told me I need 2 copies of id. I had only one copy so I couldn t make it. At the returning time , another guy told me one photo Id is fine and he can t make it today because he has couple of guys to check it though I came earlier than them. I came back and couldn t make my membership. I put a star because this place is nice and fun

Too bad it's closed now, but when it was open, it was pretty busy. I've had business in Toronto several times over the past few years and I always make a point of stopping by Steamworks Baths. Clean place, efficient staff, good facilities.

Would be nice if you guys gave us an update on your website about when you think to reopen.

Great location and very clean. I ve been to bathhouses in Germany and in Holland and to Spa Excess in Toronto. The only thing missing here is a Bar and drink charged to your locker number. I think instead of a DJ Booth a bar would be more profitable. Other than that hot guys go here and I would come again.

Great place to do some work and catch up on email! Very quiet and no one around to bother you. Apparently, it's also a place where men hook up, but I didn't see anyone doing that. If they get a coffee machine, it'll make a terrific co-working space!
