I went here twice while staying across the street for business. The first time I just wanted one beer. I ordered a Fat Tire and it was $5.45. Those are hotel level prices for a beer out of their mini-store fridge. I guess the moral is, don't let the decor full you, hipster pricing is in effect. The second time I came, I ordered food and it was decent. The shrimp po boy was more bread than meat, but they made up for it with a huge amount of fries. I started with the lobster bisque based on other reviews and it was adequate, no large chunks of meat, more, I imagine, they were pureed. This is a place that I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for, but if you are staying across the street and don't mind spending more silver than you should, give it a shot.

This rustic location, which feels very "dive bar" ish, is home to great waitstaff and some tasty food! The snow crab legs are good and flavorful! The lobster roll and bisque may not be in the traditional New England style, but they are tasty and have a solid, unique flavour. Be sure to check out the specials, they have some great ones depending on what night you're there. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and inside you can sit at tables, tall tables, or the bar. A fun, busy, hopping place!

Most amazing grouper tacos ever, and the jalapeno grits were outstanding. My husband got raw oysters and lobster roll with lobster bisque, also fabulous. Check out this place for excellent food and hometown feels.

I love seafood and this place did not disappoint! Took my girlfriend out for her birthday lunch and she loved it. We had a really personable and attentive server. The food was delicious and the prices were really fair.

Not impressed. Went and had the crab legs which were on a $15 special that night. Let's just say, you get what you pay for. Worst crab legs I've ever eaten. Poor first impression of the food which is unfortunate because I was really feeling the vibe of the place. On a positive, my Long Island was pretty good! Not tempted to go back.

I've taken clients here for years. Sunday was the first time I've been a here for late night drinks and food. The bar staff are wicked friendly and it's a very casual (florida) type vibe. The bisque is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

A great place for lunch, dinner, a date or just drinks. Every time I'm in town and close I stop in. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent and the drinks are reasonably priced for the area.

I read the reviews and we thought, ok a "good" oyster place not on the coast..lets try. Service was non existent, and we sat at the bar. Food was marginal at best. It was just simply ok....not worth the $100!

Tired semi dive bar that has been around forever. Good prices. They had drink specials when we were there. Not a bad option if you are in the neighborhood and feeling grubby. Oysters were not good but they were cheap. Go to W.H.Stiles in Ponce City market if you want great oysters.

Extremely friendly staff willing and able to wax poetic on the flavors and history of the food and restaurant, deep diving into the varying food options.
The lobster roll was okay but I'd skip it next time.
The raw oysters tasted fresh and struck a nice balance between sweet and briney.
The star was the unforgettable lobster bisque, I'd get a bucket of it if I could.

I love it. Just came back from FL, Santa Rosa (Watercolor\Seaside\Destin\etc) and I just LOVED the Virginia oysters (there they have Louisiana oysters which are just gigantic, but bigger isn't always better), they are smaller but they have a lot of flavor vs the Lousiana ones I had which you can't even fit on a cracker (you have to cut them in half and at that point nobody wants them, they are so big it is crazy)

The prices at Steamhouse Lounge are just incredible and super well worth it, but do know their horse-radish will kick your teeth in so mix it in lightly if noming oysters, no complaints here I love the place! Plus for 10.95$ a dozen and on Wed 7$ a Dozen, who can complain!? I guess non oyster lovers will always find a way, but if you love oysters, this is the place to go.

Make sure to try their boiled sampler, the rockfeller is really cheddar & swiss w\ spinach and ends up becoming mac n oysters haha. This is also one of the only places that has RAW clams, and trust me, they are better that way, cooked they are just chewy, raw they are delicious.

My only complaint is parking, they will park your car for 2$ but I don't let anyone Valet my car, most have no clue how to drive a manual Shelby anyway, just go down maybe 800 feet and there is a lot (which they use for reserve) where you can park your car yourself.

Absolutely amazing and the entire staff some the server to the mgr. Were all so nice and friendly. A party of 12 with not 1 wrong order. Or anything missing. Waiter checked on us every couple of minutes

Classic place in ATL. Fun for Oyster Fest but customer service is seriously lacking. Server refused to give any recommendations and just seemed irritated that we didn't want to order drinks at noon on a Monday.

The food was ok not extraordinary. They did not offer crab legs the day we went which was a bummer. Service was ok. The waiter/waitress did not tell us about any specials for the day nor did they make any recommendations. Just staight to the point..."can I take your order?" This was our first time going there and my expectations were much higher but it did not live up to the expectations.

A brief visit to the A was in full effect. Coming FROM FL where there s seafood in every direction, why would we even consider The Steamhouse?? It was a fortuitous blessing to have graced this property.
Easy to recognize favorite fishy fare like: calamari or lobster bisque but w/ their signature twist.
Nothing was over seasoned. Rubbery or stale. The salad was a bursting bowl of delight dressed with my choice of their champagne vinaigrette.
Savory, freshness in every bite that you don t want to end. Portions are spot on. The kinda meal you feel good about.
The service is like being at home but better. And way nicer , too.
Cozy date vibes abound!!
Second level greatness! Outdoor seating when the pollen isn t suffocating.
Decor is deep sea goodness where all the hip Mer-people meet.
We will make this a pit stop every visit!
Side note:: It doesn t smell like a manufactured sea meat dive. Sans sticky vinyl booths.

Update: We have come here many many times and I always love it. I did get the lobster bisque and it is as delicious as everyone says it is! Definitely give it a try!! My daughter and I fight over it. You can't go wrong with the raw bar or crab legs either! I just love coming here right at sunset; it is so beautiful on the roof top or the koi pond seating. Fyi, they have incredibly huge koi fish!! They are gorgeous. I highly recommend this place anytime! The service is great and the food is great. It is a regular rotation of ours.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Not only was it a gorgeous night, we got one of the best tables on this beautifully lit rooftop porch. With part of the skyline glowing with the sunset behind it. The food was delicious but the service was even better. I made a rookie mistake coming here the first time.... I didn't get the lobster bisque!! I have to come back just to get that now and I'm very excited. I should have known something was up when the the table all ordered the bisque and only that. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Yum! We had such a great time here last night. We came with no reservation for my moms birthday. We were immediately seated on their patio. We had the best server I wish I got his name. We enjoyed delicious margaritas, the oyster sampler (pictured), and I got the baja tacos with coleslaw. Great prices, great atmosphere, great service, and fantastic food- couldn t ask for more. They even treated my mom to a slice of pie for her birthday. Thank you!!
