Best Lobster Bisque in Atlanta!! Oysters are also EXCELLENT! Table service level is usually decent, but not the most attentive. Have received exceptional service at the bar on past visits. Parking can be challenging, but worth the hunt for a spot.

The Steamhouse Lounge has been a gorgeous taste of Atlanta ever since I began patronizing this restaurant decades ago in Buckhead. Anyone remember the big oak that was in the middle of the outside deck? Their lobster bisque is scrumptious. A bowl is a meal. The crab dip with pita, the oyster specials on Wednesdays, where ypu can get a dozen for 9 bucks! In downtown Atlanta! I could go on and on. We come into Atlanta and eat here before a show. Stop reading and run on down to 11th and West Peachtree. You can thank me later :)

People here are great. Service and food were fantastic. Lunch couldn't have been better.

I wanted to come here so bad, because i saw 4.1 stars!! Absolutely I should have not gone. Not good at all. Fried pickles too salty, lobster roll toooo dry(please stay away from that) scallop and shrimp quesadilla too cheesy. But my waiter was awesome. The outside was filthy," pick up the trash don't sweep it in a corner"!!!not good at all. Stay away !!

first time coming! you seat yourself. valet parking only which is handy for a busy street in atl. but the valet service was a bit slow . in the end when we came to get our cars. we waited for a good 10 minutes for the man. when he finally came back . we just grab the keys and took off ourselves. besides that, the food and service was great!! oyster were really fresh. my favorite were the oysters danielle which is fried oyster in aloli sauce and cheese. drink were refreshing as well. the servers even offered to shuck our oysters too when they saw us struggling lol

Had an amazing experience here Thursday [6/23/16] Great waiter, wonderful food , ordered the stuffed grouper which was great considering I don't eat fish, crab dip was amazing[ definitely worth trying] and the crab and shrimp was fantastic. The only downside to the night was valet keeping my change when it was time to pick my car up

Lee was our bartender, she made a perfect lemon drop It was my first time there, the jalapeno grits is amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Bottom line: good ambiance and staff, but decor can only take you so far when the food is middling. This place is super casual, with a good energy and friendly staff. Very family friendly. Unfortunately, the food doesn't really stand out, the portioning and quality of the food make the price point feel a bit too high (even though it's not that expensive). It's a fun place, but you might want to temper your expectations of the chow.

Went there New Years Eve. We sat at the bar. Service was excellent. We had oysters, grouper and shrimp which was delicious. I highy reccomend the jalapeno grits as a side. Atmosphere is nice and laid back. Can't wait to go there again.

Steakhouse lounge is one of our favorite places to eat. Great porch with a subtle breeze, good service, good food! The crab dip is amazing!

I have been here on several occasions and at different times and never been disappointed. The food is always great, the servers are sincere, and the managers are quick to correct any problem.

Great seafood and lobster bisque. Wonderful wait staff and overall enjoyable environment. Daily specials on food and drinks. FYI all of the beers are bottles and cans. There are no beers on tap. My wife loves the crab legs and bisque. Nice casual place to hang out, eat seafood, and drink cocktails.

Great service. Laid back place. They have specials everyday. I went on a Wednesday and I got their 6 grilled oysters for $10 also offered a dozed raw for the same price.

I love the steamhouse, as a woman of color this is one of the greatest establishments in Midtown. They know how to cater to a diverse crowd. The staff is so amazing I m not surprised of their success. Everything on the menu is great !!! I wish the stuff shrimp was larger but who cares right!!! Money well spent. I eat here at least once a week. It s that good, the bartenders are great the oyster are amazing what can I not say about this place believe me everyone loves steamhouse put them to the test !!!!!

The special was a penne pasta with lobster and shrimp... the shrimp still had the tails on it. Take that how you want, just not my thing. I prefer tails off if served in pasta. Everything else was great! Server was amazing.

THIS IS A GREAT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT! THE SPUCY SHRIMP AND SCALLOP NACHOS WERE VERY GOOD! I ALSO HAD RHE LOBSTER BISQUE SOUP AND LOBSTER ROLL IT WAS DELICIOUS! 5 STAR SERVICE, MY FRIENDS HAD CRAB LEGS, CATFISH AND GROUPER FISH AND THEY WERE ALL SATISFIED!

This was my first visit back to Steamhouse Lounge in quite a while. I needed to stop by the Post Office across the street, and my friends said that they would meet me at Steamhouse. It turned out to be a GREAT choice.
I did my fallback for a fried shrimp po-boy sandwich. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and not chew from being overcooked. The remoulade sauce was well seasoned, and the bread had a nice crunch to it. This is a basic sandwich that I use as my measuring stick for how well a seafood bar can get the basics right. They did.
While I do not remember her name, our waitress was on point and did and excellent job. There are a lot of places where service is mediocre at best. that is certainly not the case for Steamhouse Lounge. Two thumbs up.

So the 1st time I went it was AMAZING, my family and I went on a Saturday afternoon and the outside patio and balcony was life, oysters were AMAZING and service was great (the lobster roll was a little dry but no biggie)!!! However, the 2nd time returning for Happy Hour was AWFUL, from beginning to the end. As soon as we sat down we were not greeted and waited for about 15 minutes to get a greeting and a menu, and with that being said you should know how the service was. I blame myself because we should have known at that point to just go to The Daiquiri Factory but I had to have those oysters. Anyways, after FINALLY being able to order now 40 minutes later, not exaggerating, we told the waiter 3 times a dozen oysters and we literally waited for another 45 minutes and realized we didn't get any food ( the next table even said something to us about it). So, we ask the waitress where are our oysters and the 1st thing she said was a lie telling me there being shucked but they're coming, and then 15 minutes later tell me they were never put in just to come back 10 minutes later with my oysters and tell me my ticket was thrown away. Of course, I got a bs apology and sat there long enough to see a shift in attitude as I see a shift in the other patrons. When the Doctors came they had smiles and more willing to cater to us at that point a true 180 in attitude. YOU NEED SOME MORE DIVERSITY TRAINING IF YOU WANT MY BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. ( AND BTW I REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU SHARING MY TICKET WITH THE OTHER TABLE TO SHOW I SPENT $200 AND DIDN'T LEAVE A TIP, I TIP BASED OFF SERVICE SO THAT SHOWS MORE ABOUT YOU THEN ME!!!!)

Oh my what fun with a great group of workers. Food was awesome...smoked oysters were on point.

Steakhouse lounge never disappoints me the lobster bisque keeps me coming back and the delicious seafood offerings keep me trying everything on the menu. If you want a atmosphere that is welcoming then steakhouse is the place for you stop in and see what true service is all about. You will be treated like family here you can choose your own seat and by the time you sit down a server will be at your table ready to greet and assist you with whatever you need. Great place!!!

Oh I am so happy my mom and sister brought me here. They know how much I love Lobster Bisque and I must say it is the best I've tasted yet. I'm a chef so I know what is good and this place has got it and in a big portion, enough so you are full before your meal comes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting it's almost like a well decorated home, lol. They have an upper and lower level, they have an art gallery in the hall leading to the rest room where an employee there has his art work up for sale and they are awesome pieces. This is a must on you list of places to eat.

We've have been eating at the steamhouse since they were in Buckhead...the original Buckhead. We went today to celebrate my dad's 56th birthday and 'derek' left a really bad taste in my mouth..as a manager he should really really work on his phone voice and since of customer appreciation. I will be going back..if you come, ask for Rebecca or Janelle, best bartenders this side of the Ohio River

Quite possibly one of my favorite places to eat in the Atlanta area. 2 stories with a top floor patio. The food is AH-mazing. I am not a raw oyster kind of girl, but my parents are and they approve. Service is always wonderful. Food always comes out quickly. Drinks are always cold. I have never seen this place crowded, therefore I have never had to wait. I usually get the crab stuffed Grouper over jalapeno grits with broccoli. OMG -- totally worth the price!
