STC Optometry Review

At first, we had some misunderstanding, but now I am really satisfied the way Dr. Bains took care of my situation. She went an extra mile and resolved my concern.

Dr. was ok. However, Dr. must use sanitizer on her hands whenever she touches patient's around eyes.

The exam itself was thorough and well explained. The optometrist explained everything and took his time. It was frustrating that his staff didn't show up at 10 when my appointment was scheduled - and I had to wait 20 minutes, but that wasn't his fault and he was very apologetic.

I definitely won't be coming back here. I had the pleasure of dealing with the Asian optometrist. He acted like every change in your prescription is a major problem. At the end of my exam, he upsold Lenscrafters which shows me the optometrists lacks credibility. Save your time and go somewhere else.

This is by far the best Optometry clinic I have been to. Felt very welcomed by the receptionists. Jeff was extremely informative and helpful. Overall, his service was exceptional. I would love to return to this clinic in the future.

Its been around 3years now and my experience with Dr. Geetha has always been amazing. She has taken care and understood my eye requirements and has suggested and prescribed right solutions always. Thank You for your Service as always Dr. Geetha !!!

Thank you for the positive and professional service. This is the second time my husband and I have seen Dr. Page in two years and we are very happy with our care.

I was very unimpressed with the service and treatment i received. Dr Bains was very sarcastic which i didn t like. I m not a doctor so the questions that I had, I did not know the answer too, that s why I asked them. It seemed as though she cared about my vision concerns; yet when i called her office i received no answer or a phone call back. On top of that, i was on time for my appointment, yet people without an appointment scheduled, were seen before me. I would not recommend ANYONE going to this office; unless you re trying to waste your time.

I had a great experience visiting the doctor. He made the whole session very comfortable and answered all the question reasonably. I recommend Dr Porter to everyone.

The receptionist was courteous and pleasant, very helpful, as was Dr. Jeff. Highly recommended, couldn't ask for more.

Definitely recommend this place for an eye exam! Very friendly staff, and it was definitely not as intimidating as I was anticipating it to be. Dr. Porter was very kind and helped me understand why he was doing certain procedures, which made everything run smoothly without any fear.

I found Dr. Bains to be thorough and calming. It was a less stressful experience than I had experienced in the past. I very much appreciated that she apologized for running late, that
was refreshing! The other staff was very pleasant to deal with as well. I will recommend Dr. Bain to my son.

Fabulous, friendly staff - great team! I was seen on time and was out in under an hour (great considering my old optometrist would take me at least 2 hours). There was no pressure to buy any of the bells and whistles/extras and the front desk team helped me with insurance information. I will be back!

Bad service the girl who work in the customer service hang out the phone on me while I was trying to get the direction from her and that time I was late 10 minutes and then after 15 minutes I get to the store and she told me you are late now 27 minutes so you miss your appointment first of all you should told me if you gonna be late the appointment going to be cancelled anyway you should teach that girl to respect the customer and to be patient cuz the way she talked to me was so rude

At a time when the world is in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic, I braved it and book my eye exam.
Though I should have booked several months ago, my appointment was today.
I was highly impressed with the adherence to the Covid19 protocols as laid out by the local government.
Customer service to patients was the same high level I have become used to from STC Optometry. I am grateful for these employees who risk it daily to go to work so that folks like me can have an evaluation of the health of my eyes.

Dr Bains is excellent and the admin staff are very friendly and professional.

Dr. Gurjot Chahal was very patient and took time to make sure to have correct diagnosis. I had abrasion in my left eye and this is not something to take it easy. She did great job with me and I am making follow up again with STC Optometry after proper medication I was prescribed. I would highly recommend this place and doctor as well.

I have been coming to this Optometry office for over 5 years now and I have yet to have a bad experience with the staff. They are welcoming, helpful and informative all while making my time in the office an enjoyable one.

Staff was professional in dealing with patients especially in these unpredictable times.

The Eye Dr was very kind, and Ms.Aida was very patient in helping me find the perfect glasses that fits my face.

Dr Bains is very professional yet friendly and easy to speak to. She explains all aspects of the examination, any issues and concerns and does it in easy to understand manner. I am new to eye doctors/exams etc, I've never had eye issues but as I age, my eyesight is getting a little worse. Dr Bains reassured me everything is normal, what to look out for and how to ensure I maintain my current eyesight for as long as possible. I would recommend Dr Bains for sure!

The optometrist at this clinic was very good, she recommended some very useful eye drops for me and provided me with knowledge related to caring for my eyes, overall great experience, will be back in two years for my next eye test.

The place was clean and the appointment was stress free and quick. The doctor and staff were very friendly and efficient. I really liked the washing of hands with soap and water vs using a hand sanitizer. I have been going here for many years and will continue to come to this location. I have also recommended this location to my family and friends.

The doctor was excellent. However, the appointments were over-booked - the wait was about 50 mins, which I thought was too long. They should push back the bookings by a half hour to limit the wait time to 15-20 mins, which is more reasonable. The admins were very polite and pleasant though, so overall a good experience.

Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. The customer care representative lady assisted me efficiently and spent a long time answering my questions and providing me different products. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at the Lenscrafters.

Everything went smoothly. I received my eye exam with a very short wait time between the first few tests to receiving the prescription. The saleswoman that helped me was wonderful, informative, and helpful. I left with a pair of glasses that I m absolutely in love with.

Wait time was the shortest time I ve ever had to wait at the optometrist! All staff including front desk and the doctor herself were very supportive and answered all my questions. I like how I could just book online the appointment and I got a reminder as well! Best experience ever!

Dr. Porter was very professional while also engaging - he seemed genuinely interested in my health and visual wellbeing. I did have to wait a short period of time, but the quality of service was worth it.

My experience today was awesome. Ladies at the front were very friendly and professional. The optometrist was very professional, detailed, she explained everything clearly. Excellent service!

I went for a full eye exam. I agreed to pay extra for the contact lens testing and the retina testing. I was told many times prior to booking my appointments that they bill directly through my insurance great West life, Over this was not the case when I showed up for my appointment and to pay after the appointment was finished. I Ended up having to pay $180 out of pocket and was provided with a receipt saying that they will not be able to bill directly for whatever reason. I called back on Tuesday morning after the long weekend and I spoke to Jas (one of the receptionist). Prior to phoning them I had my insurance company on the other line and I wanted to conference in the call so we could all understand asked what was going on Jas however kept putting me on home without even telling me I was be placed on hold, which followed by her hanging up on me.
When I was finally able to get in touch with her and explain to her the situation she was incredibly rude and accused me of lying; that she mentioned I was being placed on hold.
This however is not true at all she never once mentioned to me that I was being placed on hold. I would call and start explaining myself and in the middle of explaining myself the line went dead silent and at that point when I finally spoke to her she said that means I was on hold. This was my first and last time going to this clinic because of the extremely rude receptionist Jas. It s clear she wasn t trained properly on how to treat customers, especially considering it was my first time going to Lens Crafters Scarborough Town Center. What is even more disappointing is that When I went for my follow up appointment, nothing was done in order to rectify the situation and they brushed it off as if nothing ever happened.

We received good reception. The office is clean and sanitized. We were asked to wash our hands before given the pre-examination.

I started going to this clinic because of the convenience and ease of scheduling appointments, but I will continue to be a patient (along with my 6 year old daughter) because of the amazing care they take of their clients. This clinic takes your happiness and well being very seriously and makes sure you are satisfied and your eye health is very important to them. I have never in my life received such impeccable customer service! If you have any issues, talk to Mandy. She runs this clinic and is extremely attentive, communicative, and a great problem solver. I am very happy to be a patient here!

I would definitely recommend this place for your eye exam. Dr. Jeff Porter was quite professional and knowledgeable. The wait time was short and I liked how easy it was to book the appointment online (through the Lens Crafters website).

100% satisfied with the staff and the doctor was very nice to my daughter and me as well. My daughter said that one day she will be like her.

Dr Mandeep Bains has been my Optometrist of choice for several years now, she and her entire team is very professional, caring and knowledgeable. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

I've been going to this place for the past five six years. Nothing but extreme professionalism. You don't feel like you're being rushed in and out but rather taken care of. You're not a number here they look after you from start to finish and make sure that everything's in good order before they let you go. I've been to maybe five or six different optometrists before and this place hands down is the best of the best.

I was a walk -in appointment here and was expecting a long wait - however, to my surprise, I walked in and the doctor was able to see me almost immediately. They explained everything very well and were extremely friendly and professional. Overall, my experience here was fantastic. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Dr. Geethanjali is so friendly and takes care of the clients. She answers all the questions with great patience.

Jeff Porter the optometrist was very awkward throughout the whole appointment.

I asked for contact lense sizes, and he said he's uncomfortable giving it to me. So what was the point of selecting contact lense sizes on my application. He gave some non answers, like it's different depending on the brand you buy. Most likely he wanted to sell their own, because l said I needed the sizing to buy it through my employer's program. I went to my old doctor and he gave me the sizing for free.

Big waste of time. Everyone else there was fine.

Dr. Porter and the entire staff were professional and friendly. From all the optometrists I have been to through the years, Dr. Porter is by far the most professional, calm and genuinely caring. He is transparent about everything and answers any questions with a genuine care for the patient and not just to make some extra cash.

The Dr was very thorough and explained the procedure and put my mind at ease.
I was relieved that the problem can be corrected and looking forward to my next appointment!
