The hiking is pleasings and the wildlife abundant. Weekends are crowded and lately there has been more shade than sun. Logging has been a problem in the area in the east side of the lake. Many trail closures. Encounters with snakes and small mammals are common. We saw a dragon, but its wings were missing. Colonial settlers left the stones stacked in long rows. Julio says he left his weed there once.

I call it the Oasis of the Quiet Corner. It has over 17 miles of well marked, well maintained trails, great classes/events for children and adults, cool museum and original home of James L. Goodwin. Thoroughly impressive.

First time visiting was for the annual trail run. One of the most beautiful wooded courses I ve done - well-marked and maintained trails, pristine scenery, and lots of varied terrain. Will come back for sure, either for runs or hikes. Thanks to Friends of Goodwin for a stellar event :)

So far my experiences and hikes have been great. Please download or print a map before you go as trails don't all make easy loops if at all. Some trails are muddy or Rocky. There seems to be trails for all types of hikers or walkers. Have fun!

I've been coming here for years. This is a great place for fishing or hiking with the family. The trails are all well marked and mostly clear. If you're looking for good nature walks with the family this is an excellent spot.

My visit today left me underwhelmed. I was so looking forward to my visit. First time here, upon entering the park I found it nice. Trails are a nice overgrown to see much. I feel the Mark's on the trees need to be closer together because things grow.
I may return in the spring to try again. But that is all for now.

Great trails for hiking, running, and MTN biking. FYI: Deer flies are really awful mid-summer. Easily accessible from the rail trail too. There's composting toilets and usually some porta-potties available. If the office is open, you might be able to fill your water bottle.

Great little park with lovely winding trails and a beautiful lake. I actually attended summer camp here in high school and returning always brings nostalgic memories. Besides that, what's not to love about nature!

Beautiful space to walk or hike with any age children or adults. Many smooth paths and relaxing views. The part of the trail near RT 6 has some traffic noise from the road. But there is a lot to explore on foot or bike. Only a short hike today but will return to explore some of the many other trails.
