I almost never write a review, but I am today. Came to see The Intruder. The price was going rate of today's movie theatres so I can't complain about that. The seats were very comfortable, recent face lift is pleasant with exception of the weird bathroom faucets/dryers where if you are not careful, the dryer will blow the soap or water on you, quite bizarre. They started playing the wrong movie so I had to go out and inform them of this. The popcorn was stale. A staff person came into the theatre 3x to count guests, strange?? My sister witnessed them asking a single woman to search her purse with her hands full of soda and popcorn with multiple small children. When they did the search they found candy. They told her she can't take the candy to the theatre and all the kids started crying!!! Ridiculous and really sad. Minding that she had purchased ALL these children movie theatre slurpee at a triple of the cost at a liquor store, etc. I know they would say that outside drink and candy is not allowed, true, but could they just have given this poor lady and her crying kids a break and allowed it, informing her not to do it again? This is not best practice for customer service! Is Cinema City this hard up for profit? At the price of their candy and other items, I need to ask myself who is robbing who???

The best local theater around! Usually a good selection of movies for a decent price, not to mention fast and easy service. Very clean and welcoming. Audi they allow customers to bring in there favorite Star Buck's drink!

Always love going to this theater, especially when I am looking for a film that has a limited release. A tad more expansive than your usual theater, but they have quality sound, picture, and quality customer service.If you get a chance to view a film in the dome, I would say go for it at least once.

Classic theater experience at discount prices. First run movies, clean comfortable seating, arcade, themed screening rooms (a nice touch not seen many places), free refills on large concessions - even on subsequent visits!!! Service here is extraordinary. Plenty of convenient, shaded parking; easy freeway and arterial access. Clean restrooms. Moviepass friendly. Great place to enjoy the movie going experience.

We've been going to Cinema City for decades I've seen all of the best movies hear everything from the latest Star Wars II the Matrix you name it I've seen it at this movie theater. I really like that they give you different flavored stuff to put on your popcorn. Nothing like Nacho Ranch popcorn while you're watching a great movie.

Cute cozy spot, with bargain movies on certain times/ days. Latest movies shown here. I loved being able to order nacho cheese sauce on the side for my popcorn! Excellent customer service.

Theater itself was NOT freezing and not warm... wow! Very comfortable temperature. Didn't even need to put on my sweater I brought inside (while outside it was mid 90s). Soundscape was good and not painfully loud like other theaters Wow! I had a great overall experience

Decent place for movies. Not the best with the latest technology or reclining chairs, but the prices are much cheaper compared to others and it works great if you have a movie pass subscription (they have e-ticket).

New parking structure, makes for plenty of parking. Older theatre but still nice. Like a cheap seat theater, but it's been upgraded. It is very clean, & stadium-style seating. Plenty of food restaurants al in the center. From fast food to vegan choices & ice cream.
New movie choices + low pricing makes this a great value outing.

We just went back, I love this place, but it's annoying that you're enjoying the movie a worker came inside over, and aver and over to check I don't know what that makes you uncomfortable and you can't enjoy the movie, besides that it's a great place always.

Best value ticket pricing in Anaheim/Yorba Linda. They recently remodeled this multiplex. Friendly staff, and clean theater seats. People that come here are pretty decent too. Parking can be a nightmare sometimes as parking facility is not very big - especially above ground parking lot. I would recommend this multiplex.

1 star due to the fact that you can NOT reach a human via the advertised phone number. I will change this to a 5 star review if they post a phone number on google that you can actually reach a human at with ease. A recorded message stating show times etc. is not useful in the era of smartphones.

Good theater BUT MOVIE TALKERS! I've been to three movies here and each time there were people talking at various times throughout. Always some people on cell phones sending text messages and even one time, in an R rated film, a kid next to me who couldn't have been more than 7 years old, constantly fidgeting and moving about. I go to movies for escapism, not to be dealing with the general public scrolling through Instagram, gabbing and being otherwise inconsiderate and oblivious to their surroundings.

Great theater picture/sound

Great theater picture/sound
3 big ones are awesome . The medium are great . And amazingly the awful small ones are decent!
Staff is very friendly and helpful. The theater has a soon to be gone parking issue (construction) but tickets prices are fair for adults and spectacular for seniors and promotional special days. Concessions are yummy and normal prices.

ROACHES::BEWARE

ROACHES::BEWARE

So a few weeks back my girlfriend and I came in for the new Grinch release. We d been here a few times before and the location being right down the street from my house makes this place convenient.

Anyway, during the movie I d sworn I d felt something crawl along my arm. I looked around and brushed it off as air conditioning because I didn t see anything. Sure enough about 10 minutes later I see from the corner of my eye a pretty good size roach jetting around in the seat next to me. I decided not to make a scene and whispered to my girlfriend that we need to leave. I explained once we were out the door.

So I ended up talking to the manager, I decided to keep everything discreet. Pathetically I nearly had to ask for a refund, of course they couldn t provide a refund because we d purchased the tickets through Fandango, so instead they gave us a couple of movie passes for a future screening.

Sure enough, we tried using the movie pass about 15 minutes ago, and were declined because Broly was a special screening . This got me pretty heated, I d explained to the guy how we d gotten the tickets in the first place, and we were still denied.

I m headed off to another theater now, where I ll gladly pay full price while not surrporting this pretty terrible business.

I've been going to cinema city for over 20 years. I grew up going here and knew so many friends that have worked here. I've continued being a customer through ownership changes and price increases. All my life in going here you were always allowed to bring in Golden spoon from next door. I always thought that was cool that they'd support their neighboring business and you can bring in a nice treat. Well I went to cinema city last night on a date and we got golden spoon beforehand. When I walked in I had the ice cream in my hands and they lady selling us tickets said nothing. Soon as we walked to our theater we were stopped and told we had to throw out our ice cream. The employee told us that the new management changed the policy on allowing golden spoon a year ago. I stated that no one said anything about that when I was buying my ticket and that I had brought ice cream in recently with no issues. The guy didn't care and told us to throw it out or leave. We asked to speak to the manager and he also said it was a fairly new policy. The employee and and manager were rude, unapologetic and now I understand why this place was so dead. We were literally the only ticket sales for the movie but we took our refund and left. I've been going here since I was 6 years old. I remember when the had the batmobile out front. Today they lost a longtime customer over a stupid new policy and a lack of customer service. If a customer is upset, probably not a good idea to laugh at them.

I had visited Starlight over the years (decades) and I've always found it to be pretty good at upgrading over the years. The only draw back was an unpleasant odor in the theater, hence four and not five stars.

Came here on a Thursday for the $5 Movie on New Releases. That alone is enough to make me come here instead of other theaters because that is quite a steal. The theater does look a little bit old and beat-up on the inside, but looks beautiful on the outside.

Starlight is located on Orangethorpe right next to the Imperial Highway Exit on the 91. Parking here is quite plentiful as the parking here is ginormous and there are only small restaurants and fast food joints here so it never gets too busy.

My only complaints is because of preference. After being constantly spoiled with recliners at other theaters, it makes it hard to sit in chairs that aren't recliners so I do have a hard time booking showings here because of that. But you honestly can't beat $5 when I am spending 3x that for a reclining seat.

I love coming to this theater because they have some great prices! It's also nearby to where I live and they always have the latest movies.
The concession prices aren't too bad either, but I usually pop over to CVS and pick up a few snacks before I go into the movies. One thing I love here is the popcorn, they have hot butter, but also have seasonings that you can sprinkle on your popcorn. There's also quite a few eateries in the same parking lot.
They have clean theaters and comfortable seats. They have people in boothes waiting to sell you tickets or you can go to a kiosk and buy tickets on that if the line is too long.
I recommend coming here to watch movies.

Staff gives inaccurate descriptions of house seating, the popcorn is good which is typical for a Starlight Cinema, most of the staff is friendly depending on how long they've been working that day. Don't park in the parking structure, their security will constantly bug you saying people are complaining that you're waiting on a car and assume you're doing illegal activity. Actually refunded my tickets because of it. They need to learn some respect here. Whittier Starlight Cinema is so much better. Did I mention is smells really bad here?
