The staff helped me get what I needed done quickly and efficiently
Great community resource. So many different things in this one location.
The HIT IT (Hearing Impaired Teens Interacting Together) group is a big hit with my daughter! This program allows her every few months to feel as though she fits in and truly belongs with a group of kids just like her.
My son is currently a typical peer in the preschool program at Taft. His teacher and the staff have been great with his recent OCD/anxiety diagnosis. They're already laying the groundwork for the elementary school he will be going to next fall, even though we will sadly be leaving this district and going into Akron Public. It's really great to work with a supportive team of people. If they don't know something, they're willing to find out and to try. I really appreciate that kind of dedication.
As far as my son goes, he's been learning how to get along with kids that have challenges. He's learning how to "loosen up" a little bit and let things go. He's really blossomed socially by being a part of that program. I think it's great to keep kids together as much as possible, rather than separate them out. They don't see differences like we do. They aren't hindered by their limitations or the limitations of their peers. They're all just kids. And that's good enough for them.
I truly believe in this program. I think he will be a better person for being a part of it. I wish more places had programs like this on all levels of education.
Got a background check to renew my license as a teacher. Quick with friendly service. Social distancing measurements observed.
