Worth the wait in a odd sense. Can't explain it really. It's the first store of a giant chain. Super cool what a seed can develop into

Zero wait time right away in the morning, and patient people!
The first store in Starbucks.
Because I visited around 9 o'clock in the morning on weekdays, it was not crowded at all.
There is a goods menu with a photo before the cash register and you can order with the feeling like "I want this with this!" If you go when you are free, you can buy drinks with goodies.
It seems to be quite crowded when it gets crowded, so we recommend going to a time zone such as a vacant morning.
The drink ordered latte, but thanks to the fact that it took time to extract it, it was far more delicious than what I usually drink with Starbucks.
Love Starbucks should go.
This was quite the experience. I took the opportunity to wonder in, stop, take a moment and inhale all the aromas that a typical coffee shop has to offer and enjoy the unique memorabilia that this store offers. A barista was out stocking up merchandise and took time to answer my questions as well as explain to me what makes the store unique. She also provided me with recommendations on the coffees that one can only get there. I must say that giving in is not so much of a bad thing when you're just standing there, being vulnerable.
They sell good coffee, the establishment is well preserved and you receive good attention from the cashiers, the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant, I recommend it.
First Starbucks ever! I dont drink coffee but I obviously stopped in to be a tourist and for a photo OP.
It is the first store, and visit in commemoration! The line is absurd.
The service here is what all normal Starbucks should strive for.
Long lines, but cool to say you ve been. They do sell products with the original logo (mugs mostly). Nothing special about the drinks.
The wait is a little long, but the Pike Place "special reserve" coffee is actually pretty good. Interesting to see how such a large company got started.
This was a great time to go to a normally packed Starbucks. The very first Starbucks ever opened. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We took pictures of the plaque and the "market pig" covered in coffee beans and a burlap coffee sack. I didn't realize that they had merchandise specific to the first store. Bought a travel mug and a bag of coffee.
It was a smaller shop than I expected
Please go to the first Starbucks store
Super long lines at most times. This is the very first Starbucks so worth coming at least once if you're a coffee aficionado.
Was really excited to go here and I wasn t disappointed by the friendly staff. Glad I went to experience some of Starbuck s history. I would have given a 5, but unfortunately I was told by their manager that I couldn t take pictures inside the store...Really? - So frustrating, so illogical, so sad.
Worth the visit. There are more varieties than a regular Starbucks.
A must-do for all Starbucks lovers. The original is still cranking them out with outstanding quality. Love it. Line is worth it.
The first Starbucks is not really that special, except the long queue.
Hard to rate this particular location... compared to other locations it sucked - outrageously slow. I was 1 of 4 people when I arrived in the AM, and I spent WAY too much time there (15-20 min). My latte was exactly as it would be anywhere else since it looked like the same machine pulling shots - and it was fine. But for the tourist aspect I had to bump up my score because ultimately it's a tourist trap (check out the roastery). Possibly masks the slow service?...
Ridiculas crowd for a cup of mediocre coffee at best. And the stupid thing is they have one at every corner. So why you would wait for a chance to go to the first is beyond me.
A must stop... love or hate Starbucks, they convinced us to pay $4 bucks for a cup of coffee. Beautiful store, friendly staff. The line looked long, but they have an efficient system. We will be back...
I found the one and only Starbucks that I could not locate using my Starbucks app. Which means NO MOBILE ORDER.
And I felt ashamed, I should've had more respect to the first Starbucks ever. I'm sorry.
Line to enter doesn't look so long, but definitely take a while for people to come out. With souvenirs and drinks both waiting for you inside, it's as if waiting for your coffee to have this whole make over. But coffee and everything on the menu is the same like everywhere else.
Tumblers and mugs are also the same price, nothing really goes above $20-25. But to make sure that you were there, make sure you check in and BUY A TUMBLER that specifically indicates "First Starbucks Store" (That's right, not all the tumblers indicate it in words).
There's debate about whether this is the true "original" Starbucks, so please, for the sake of your own dignity and sanity of the people who need to use the Market, don't join the 16-deep pack of tourists in front of the store taking photos. Go up to the SB on 1st Av and Pike, sip your latte in comfort and watch the crazy hordes go by.
The original Starbucks, very small and has long lines. This is the only place you can get the Pike Place market Starbucks mug!
4 stars because it took too much time to get my coffee ready. Other than that it was really good to get to know the first Starbucks coffee shop. I had the private reserve drip coffee from Papua.
Wow wow wow !!! I want to give it five stars just because I succeeded in going to Bucket List Starbucks first store. I imagined that Starbucks No. 1 was a spacious, relaxed and rainy space with a view of the ocean, but I was disappointed that there was no space to eat and a place where 10 employees were busy ordering and delivering souvenirs. .... The origin of coffee shops found all over the world, and the only place selling the first logo engraved was enough to fill my fantasy. It was Saturday morning, but it wasn't so long, it was shrinking faster than I thought, and the professional appearance of the friendly, skilled staff inside was a relief from exhausting tiredness. Market-driven coffee shops, inspired by Pitts Coffee, have become a very popular and famous chain, a completely different route from Pitts Coffee, but the fun story of Starbucks makes the store meaningful, and the pleasure of ordering and accepting coffee and tumblers. Iran ~ As a coffee lover, it was a very fun, bothersome and fun experience.
Amazing!! The first Starbucks!! Definitely a must see! Worth the wait in line to get the location limited merch.
The first branch of Starbucks in the world .. From here began the march of this company in 1912 and the number of branches of the company more than 28 thousand branches in the world and the number of employees 291 thousand employees
Must see if you are a Starbucks fan. To see the original store
Long wait, but if you're a big Starbucks fan, this is the place for you. They pull all of the espresso drinks by hand with a 4-group machine. Pike Place exclusive drinkware can be bought here.
The world s first Starbucks, so of course it is very crowded. Queues can be as long as 30mins!
The original store, great looking, and the pike roast is worth trying.
In the host city of the brand, a beautiful establishment
I had already made a procession at 9 am, but I had to wait for about 20 minutes or wait. I could buy a limited tumbler.
Historic place for starbucks fan... expect long lines though
Glad I got to visit the original! Got the Seattle black and white coffee mug as well =]
I think that it is a must if you enjoy Starbucks! Go there early in the morning...they don t serve food, only coffee. They have mugs to buy.
This is the first Starbucks store! Great service, sometimes you have to wait if you want to order a coffee because is crowded
Pretty cool to go back to the roots of where one of the nation's largest industries first conspired.
Staff is great, but it s really no more than a regular Starbucks
Coming to Seattle, you can't really miss the opportunity to visit the first historic Starbucks shop, where you can enjoy the best American coffee.
Most recent visit in August 2011.
Nice small cozy place. Nothing but coffee. Feels good to visit where it all started.
Very cool to visit the original, lots of merchandise and unique pour overs from different countries.
It's the first Starbucks they opened, it's a tiny place and very crowded. The drinks are the same that they sell at all Starbucks in the city. It is worth buying any of the souvenirs with the oroginal logo. The baristas treated us wonderfully.
The first Starbucks! Great, Iconic Starbucks location to visit while in the Public Market area.
This was my first visit to Seattle. Location was great next to all the shops and fish market & they were opened late. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They created a special mocha carmel light latte- something..was delicious & helped me decide on great gifts to take back to Texas for Christmas :)
The very first Starbucks store. Great experience. Be prepared to wait in line for a bit depending on the time and day of the week...
This is the original Starbucks. It is a neat place to visit if you are a Starbucks fan, however, be prepared for a long line!
Arrived at 8:59, and they let us out while other wating liners in. And tell me you guys tomorrow working hour. Great customer service below avearage starbucks one.
The mug and tumbler limited to the first store are very fashionable. The store is overcrowded.
Its the first ever Starbucks which was ever opened.Looks very ancient...it is unlike all other Starbucks that we see the world over.
Coffee was excellent (iced americano, no room), as Starbucks usually is, and the service was very quick and friendly. Our barista even gave us a nice lunch recommendation.
Tip: Go early. The line to get in or even to take a picture can be down the block at times. We went around 8:00am and walked right in and were third in line.
Tourists must travel, I heard that sometimes there are quite a few people waiting in line, but today there is no one, just try your luck.
They do not follow social distancing rules. I warned barista about social distancing but she was unprofessional and not nice. I asked to talk to manager. Manager was also not professional. I am not sure if he was manager. He was inexperienced in communication and didn t know how to talk to customers.
Can you even go to Seattle and not go to the OG Starbucks?!
If you do not want to have a product that only sells at Starbucks, you do not have to go, but if you come to Seattle, you might want to go.
I do not know if it's historical, but I recommend visiting at night
I waited +/- 30 minutes because of the hype of visiting the first Starbucks store. I got the Pike Place Special Reserve only available in this store. Taste as good as the other coffee that Starbucks serve in other stores. The over priced merchandise is a must since I waited so long. Yes I got ripped off for a mug (2 mugs actually) but it feels good because I feel the wait is worth it now!
Very old one, didn't get a chance to go in due to heavy crowd and long queues. Looked great from outside.
Worth a visit since it is the first starbucks shop. There was a line outside on weekdays in the afternoon as well as saturday. Didnt feel like waiting and didnt try their coffee. Mugs, tumblers and other souvenirs are available for purchase at starbucks nearby. I wasnt able to spend too much time inside since it was crowded and small. But really, worth a visit if you are starbucks fan.
The first establishment of this iconic cafeteria. Good coffee and unique paraphernalia from the store.
The lady working here ushering in was very rude and snappy. The lady outside the store ushering was nice.
The first store of Starbucks.
Drink, goods To buyers to the right lane.
The lane on the left is for receiving drinks only.
If you wish to purchase goods, you can buy new goods without telling items that you want to purchase side by side as they are on the right lane.
For the time being, I went to the shop, to the right lane.
It was quite congested until noon on weekdays, so it would be better to go with time to spare.
Honest taste is the same as other stores, so if you drink something other than collecting goodies and special flavor, I think that it is possible to take only photos.
Great selection Starbucks. An honour to visit the first EVER Starbucks. Great staff and service. The hot choc fast delish!
This is THE original Starbucks in Pike Place. The first time we walked by the store, the line was ridiculously long. It was a nice weekend afternoon, so it was filled with tourists. So, we went back during the weekday, and the line was still long but not as long as the weekend line. There was a very friendly staff at the door, letting few people in at a time, as few people leaves the store. Very good way to keep the store from overcrowding.
The staff also handed out souvenir menu to the first few customers in line outside, so that we can see what they sell beforehand. With that, you can order your drink with the souvenir, and the barista inside will get the merchandise for you. Once you enter the store, there is a short line in the inside. Once the barista becomes available, he/she will raise his/her hand and you move up. Order, get your stuff, wait for your stuff, and done.
We also decided to get the mugs that are also only available at this location. We got the one with their original logo, and the one with Pike Place design on it.
I am glad I got to see the original Starbucks, it was pretty cool. We got a latte with Pike Place blend, which was really nice!
