I along with hundreds of drivers were terminated thru no fault of my own and was simply told we no longer met their hiring standards. Its been almost 3 months since this occurred and they still have not paid mercy last week of wages earned. I'm taking them to court now
One of their drivers almost killed me on I-55 in St Louis. They need the road test their drivers better!!!
They love threatening their drivers and abusing them and if drivers don't get pay the staff shouldn't either

Hey!! Great experience while I was there, did not haul auto parts, was on a dedicated account with a broker. Star was responsible for sending me my dispatch, which they did in a timely manner. I will be visiting the LA Vernge Tn. yard here shortly to see how messed up it is while I wait to deliver a load in the local area. You can learn alot about the drivers who work there by the way they treat the facilities. From the reviews I have read, they need to cut the truck back to 60 mph OR give more travel time on the loads. 1,000 loads of GM parts in a ditch are not worth 1 human life.
Star has been very good to me and my family. The trucks are comfortable, well kept and maintained. An automatic fleet (initially I was disappointed because I prefer manual). The miles are consistent and the pay is compatible. The staff are very caring and truly understanding. The combination of these things has earned Star Transportation a very loyal and dedicated employee.
Horrible place to work! There's no communication from dispatch about finding a load, fleet managers for unpaid compensation or maintenance for repairing a truck! You'll have several unpaid miles accounted for per load since they pay zip code to zip code and tell you "that's part of trucking"! Also, STAR DOES NOT pay for breakdowns or reimbursements for any out of pocket expenses! You'll be stuck for hours (unpaid) without a load or contact from anyone about where you need to go. This is a horrible trucking company and the only reason they haven't went under is because of Covenant. Run, don't walk away!
Stealing drivers miles I am was missing every week about 500 miles and every time I tell my fleet manager he was tricking me by adding flat amount money to my trip number and end of the week I don t get that extra cash and when he got mad because I am telling him my trips missing miles and I am missing money , and when he get mad he doesn t call me or assign trip to me two weeks and this happened three times and the third time now it s been three weeks no call no trips no thing, I am not sure if I am still employe by star??!!
