I like coming here. I can see things with my eyes AND hands and I always get a friendly greeting while not being accosted for a sale. Plus my 2 year old thinks that every ZX14R they have is "His Cycle".

Overpriced OEM oil! Kawasaki 10w-40 is $5.95 MSRP per Kawasaki.com selling here for $8.99. Have always been reluctant to spend money here but when in a bind decided to stop for 1 qt of oil. Won t be spending anymore money in this establishment.

I have a 2008 Hayabusa. I purchase a lot of parts from Star City and I must say that the service I receive from them is outstanding. I have purchased close to $8000 in parts and accessories and the people that work there have gone above all my expectations. I think Star City is doing an amazing job at keeping all of their customers happy. If something isn't right, they will make it right for you with anything that they can. I will never use anyone else for anything I need except Star City. Good job guys, keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Was in today to pick up my bike after having some work done on it. Work was done accordingly. Stacey was excellent to work with and, of course, Mark in parts was right there with answers that I needed. I don't know what Hellbilly's personal beef is with SC, but rather than keep bashing them on the net, I'd suggest he "man up" and go talk to the owner. Casey in Sales is always a pleasure to work with and demands nothing less than the best out of his guys. I would make one suggestion though. And that would be to have the other managers get out of their officed a little more and greet customers and see if they've been helped. If not, get them some help right away. I see quite a few sales staff talking amongst themselves and customers just wandering around the store with unanswered questions....Just some constructive advice. Otherwise, great place!!

Bought a 2006 Honda CBR600rr, excellent experience across the board from sales to finance. Especially Kyle Ridder made the finance process very painless and quick. Kyle also handled all and any questions i had regardless if it was on a part, service, or new models. Kyle also made sure he stopped by while i was waiting for the bike to be serviced under the star city contract to make sure i was still enjoying the RR. A+

Kyle helped me get my first bike, and was very responsive in messages when I had questions. After a short time I was on a brand new Kawasaki z125 2018. The customer service was phenomenal from every individual and I am very thankful for star city Motorsports and again Kyle for making this happen

Maybe the problem isn't these people I've also been going to star city for a while. Sorry to say it but there customer service sucks unless you are looking at something motorized. NEED HELP WITH ANYTHING ELSE THERE NOT AROUND< I NEEDED HELP GETTING TWO LITTLE BOLTS FROM THE COUNTER WAITED 15 MIN FINALLY THE GUY ON THE PHONE HELPED A LITTLE COME TO FIND OUT THE BOLTS THAT THE GUY ORDERED A WEEK BEFORE WERE THE BOLTS I WANTED TO GET RID OF SO I HAD TO REORDER. HE CALLED SOMEONE TO HELP ME 10 MIN LATER THEY SHOW UP BTW THERE WERE MAYBE 5 CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE. TOOK 45min TO GET TWO BOLTS ORDERED. WAITING FOR THEM NOW. HOPEFULLY THEY GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME. BTW THIS ISNT MY FIRST TIME HAVING A PROBLEM TRYING TO GET HELP ITS EVERYTIME IM IN. Personally I think the sales floor reps. care so much about the commission that they only pay attention to the people looking at the motor vehicles. I'm not bad mouthing the service department just the sales floor they need to be more helpful as others have said. You get paid to help the customer not to talk with each other all day. I hope the owner catches this and puts his foot down. As said before I have never had any service work done but, I do have friends that say they do good work for them.

Excellent customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me with a fueling issue on my bike and got me on my way on the same day. Absolutely would recommend, and will stop back there again if I'm ever in the area.

We had made an app for Aug. 1, 2020 three weeks i...

We had made an app for Aug. 1, 2020 three weeks in advance to have 2 recalls done on our Kawasaki Mule. My husband told them he would have to wait there for repairs to be done because he had to go out of town next day so need to have it done. They said no problem, would only take 1 1/2 hours to do. We were there when they opened at 9:00 and first ATV at door. Went in and said we were there. 2 other ATV's pulled up at door behind us. They came out moved ours to side of bldg and they took the others inside. Checked with them they said they had appts before us. Waited and waited...finally at 3:30 they took ours in. My husband said YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR A 9:00 APP and have to wait for the recall repairs till done, I'm leaving town!!!
Finally at 5:00 they got done..He saw the Manager standing there but he avoided my husband and would even come talk to us.
Why did they make so many apps for same time???
We don't have anything good to say about their service dept. We live just outside Lincoln and they are closer..but will go to Omaha from now on..they care about customers!!

I bought a 2004 Yamaha Vstar 1100 from your dealer...

I bought a 2004 Yamaha Vstar 1100 from your dealership a year ago and I love my bike but I had some problems with it (and she's got quite a few miles on her). I had some electrical issues that cropped up about three weeks after I bought the bike that you guys fixed right up, even though it wasn't covered by my service plan, and a few months later, I had a major issue with my wheel bearings that took some effort to diagnose and correct. But now, my bike is running great, and I'll be in shortly for another oil change. I always get prompt service from good people and I'm happy to continue to be a customer.

Finance is another story, classic dealership tactics so be careful. Ive tried removing my "service plan" idk how many times. I was told over the phone they would remove it (after I paid taxes on this because it was included in my purchase price) but that has not happned.

So yesterday I find out that this particular place...

So yesterday I find out that this particular place has a vehicle in stock that I wanted for a long time. We get there look at the vehicle and are unable to start it. They say it has a bad battery and that it's a known issue. They have ordered another one but they are not sure when it will be in. Upon pressing them for when the battery will actually be in the salesman goes to the back and says they have one in now. They're not going to put it in until tomorrow though. So at this point I just seen the vehicle and touched it I have not heard it run or tested anything out. Now comes to this morning when I get told that I cannot test drive the vehicle. That I'm able to ride along and that the young salesman will be the one driving the vehicle. I don't know how many of you guys have bought a vehicle without hearing it run or test driving it. That is exactly what they wanted me to do. Bring in a check for the full amount and sign a purchase agreement before I can take a test drive. If I didn't like it after the test drive then they would rip up the purchase agreement. I'm not a spring chicken but you're not going to pull the wool over my eyes. Why would I trust a young salesman to tell me what he feels is wrong with the vehicle that he is trying to sell to me? Conflict of interest, or maybe just poor business practices? I'll let you make your own decisions on that.

In response to the owner you never told me there was no test rides. Also there was no mention that anybody had to leave to go get a battery it was told to us that the battery was on the back order.

I have bought a jet ski and bike from Star City, both times the salesmen were awesome to work with and were willing to answer any questions that I had and give me advice on everything from brands to helmets to service plans. Im really happy with the work they did rewiring my jet ski trailer when my bad dog chewed up the wiring, their jet ski service crew is awesome

They sold me a bike with 16 year old tires, and thought they were safe to be ridden on. A lot of the bikes on their sales floor were dirty and not cleaned properly, leaves in the seat of a nc700x they had, dirt on the saddle bags still, and dirt and grease scuffs on a honda shadow I looked at. Star city wouldn't help me out at all with the cost of new tires or even the labor, the only discount offer I got was from my sales guy Myles, who was a really good salesman, no negative marks to him at all
Edit: They're putting new tires on it for me, had to buy them myself but they said they'd do it and a couple other minor things for me

Will not be going back. Ever. Was told it would $210 for a tire and $35 for them to put it on. The tire ended up costing $245 and the service charge was $45. The only good thing I can say is the staff were moderately helpful/friendly. If you are on the fence or even think you WANT to go here, DO NOT. Find another place somewhere remotely close and go there!

Traded my first bike in for a larger/ newer used one. Star City had just what I was looking for at a fair price. Very knowledgeable staff and good selection of used bikes. Darren Gunn is an excellent salesperson and really made the purchase a nice experience. I live 50 miles away, but plan to come back for service and my next bike when the time comes. I have been dealing with Star City Motor Sports for several years now the sales staff is always accommodating as is the service department and sales staff in the parts area. 2 years ago I purchased a new Polaris Slingshot from Star City and have been having all of my service work and everything else done there they are always right on top of things and very efficient and getting your vehicle's back out to you as quickly as possible the prices may seem a little high to some people but like saying you get what you pay for and the knowledge of the service department and sales staff is worth the price.

I wish I could give this company 0 stars!!!!
I will NEVER send anyone to Star City. All we did was get the run around. They sold my husband a extended service plan when he bought his side by side. My husband asked if he could take it somewhere closer to home to get the work done as we live about 60 miles away and without hesitation the salesman said yes absolutely just give us a call and tell us where your taking it and we will get ahold of them. Once it was time to get the first service done we call to tell them and we were told you had to bring it to Star City for the first service but then could take it anywhere else after that which makes no sense. After the salesperson argued and yelled at my husband over the phone about it they said we will just cancel your extended service and refund your money which was fine! 2 weeks later I call back to see if it had been cancelled yet the finance guy said no it hasn t it just passed through his desk a couple days ago we have just been to busy! I ask again about us being able to take it somewhere else and he said we like to have the first service done here and then you can take it anywhere you want after that. we had it in for the service yesterday that s why I called and since it wasn t cancelled yet asked if there was anything we could do to make it work. He told me he would get with the owner and call me back. At about 7:30 at night they finally called back and said they only way they could honor the service deal was to have it brought back to them every time! When I spoke with the owner he stated you could never have taken anywhere else after 2 different people told us we could. Never once did we receive the same information and never once did anyone say I will go check or I m sorry for the misunderstanding until I talked to the owner last night and made that clear he said they were making it right with me by cancelling and refunding my money however that was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago and still had not been done yet! Had they told my husband when he bought the machine the TRUTH about the extended service that would have been no issue but I have read several other reviews that other people have also got the run around so now that just shows that s how this company does business!!! If you purchase something from Star City make sure you get every detail in writing and have your salesman sign it.

Kyle Ridder was very helpful with helping find a bike that I like and am comfortable on. He also went out of his way to help find gloves, jacket and a helmet that fit and match what I want! I will be in soon to make that final decision and pick up my bike!

Updated: Worst customer service ever. Was in there...

Updated: Worst customer service ever. Was in there a couple of weeks ago to get a starter solenoid for a razor. Was told price was roughly $93. Double checked because aftermarket price was around $15.00. Mark in parts convinced us to purchase the factory part because it was "better". The last thing we asked before we paid was if the part was returnable if that didn't turn out to be the problem, he replied with "yes, we could return it". Picked up the part earlier this last week and replaced it on my equipment and found it was not the problem and another sensor was bad (brake pressure sensor) I then removed it. The only evidence that it was installed was an open bag. I called Star City and now Mark says it was installed and not returnable. After I pushed the issue now he suddenly doesnt recall ever telling us that we could return it, even though I have a friend who was with me and witnessed everything. Kind of a hard pill to swallow since we were just going to exchange it for the correct part and a couple of other parts. I guess since this is how we get treated here, I will have to consider taking my business (6 atvs worth of work in total) elsewhere.

Update after the respinse listed below:

I understand, but had I been told this to begin with, we would have taken a different approach to troubleshooting the Razor, that wouldn't have involved investing in a part we may have not been able to return if we didnt need it.

Instead, now I am out roughly $100 for a part I don't need that works just fine as the one on my side-by-side works just fine too and it turned out to be a bad brake pressure sensor and a broken wire going to it.

My response to owner's initial response:

Bottom line, your parts person told me one thing, i.e. "yes, I can return it" (I even asked both at time of sale and at time of pickup, just to cover my bases) to make the sale and then when it came up that I didnt actually need that part, I was unable to return it. Not a good business practice for any industry, let alone a niche industry like atvs.

Owner's response:

Matt, I m out of the country now but get home in about ten days. I will look into this matter more when I m back. Thanks, Robert Kay.

Even though I hate bringing my bike to anywhere because I know it's going to cost me an arm and a leg I prefer this place because they do give you the best service possible. The sales department also is very impressive with a massive selection at very fair prices.

I went to Star City Motor Sports and asked for assistance on Rangers and Quads for my farm, Nick Prokop was there right away when I needed questions answered. Nick was very knowledgable in both Rangers and Quads, he answered all of my questions completely. He knew what he was doing and I would recommend going to him at Star City if you have any questions or need help with buying a certain Ranger/Quad/Bike/Jet Ski.

ive had my 99 Kawasaki serviced here, carbs re built, new tires. had a 90 zx750 worked on , new tires. overall good service, great experience with the shop guys in all. prices..... steep compared to other shops ,as far as service work hourly rates. but always good quality work,friendly staff. been going there over 6,7 years.

Star City has a massive show floor, several different options, and is a great environment to hang out or purchase vehicles I have purchased 5 vehicles from Star City and I receive nothing but amazing customer service every time. If I ever had a problem they were quick to resolve any issues the best they could. I would recommend anyone to visit Star City Motor Sports for all of there power sport needs.

I recently purchased 2 CanAm atv's from Jesse Ziegenbein at Star City Motorsports , the salesman was knowledgeable and very helpfull on deciding which ATV's suited my needs at a price was very fair. After the sale and the two machines got a few hours on them i took them both in for their 1st service but i needed them back right away , the service department was finished in a very timely manner before i needed them back. Overall an outstanding experience and i will always use Star City for future purchases and all service needs.

I would like to personally give Myles and Lane (The two young gentlemen) who helped me with my purchase 5 stars for their great customer service. I just bought a CanAm Spyder. Myles (think I got the spelling right) was incredibly easy to work with as a salesman. Personable and very helpful. I also needed to integrate helmets and sound accessories into the CanAm. Despite this being 2020 when you'd think manufacturers would make things incredibly easy, integration doesn't always go as planned. Lane in parts worked very hard to get the proper equipment, research the best solutions, and then worked with Myles and me on making sure everything was installed properly. Going the extra mile earns them the 5 stars.

As a kind suggestion, however, as I have read other reviews, I do think making sure that customers are engaged by the front desk within a few seconds of coming in to get them to the correct people would strengthen their overall experience. Good job guys. Thanks....we are loving the new Spyder!

Been trying to get a refund on a service contract for a month or so, as i no longer need it however it seems I ve been left hanging. It looks like I ll need to make the trip out to Lincoln to speak directly to Nate to find out why this is taking so long.

Sadly on 6/7/2012, I purchased a used (149 miles) scooter from Star City Motorsports, don't get me wrong, it was a fun scooter to ride, (for the week that it worked). Cody in sales was great, as was the kid who dropped it off at the house and picked it up a week later (6/12/2012) when it stopped running. They said it was the voltage regulator, and it would take a week to get the part in, When I called the service department a week later, they then informed me that it now needed a new stator, and that it would take a week to get that part, when I called a week later, the service department said "it's on the truck and will be in at 4:00". I asked to be called one way or the other if the part was in. Guess what, no call back. When I called the next day, the service department said the part is on back order until Aug!

I checked, there is no stator for my scooter. However, there are places that will rebuild them, but Star City's VIP service contract is not worth the paper it's written on. This is not VIP service, this is not even good business service.

I left my number for the owner or GM to call me several times, apparently they don't want to sit down and discuss it, because neither one of them would call me back. Mike the service manager did call. He said "if we could get a stator off an in stock bike, we would use it". Saturday, 6/30 I go to their website, guess what, there is a bike with the SAME stator on it! So much for an honest answer. I called Mile and informed him of this at 1:07 p.m., and he said, "let me check and I will call you back and let you know", well it is now after 5 p.m., and guess what, still no call back. So to sum it up, put cash down, already paid for the plates, my first payment will be soon due, insurance paid for the year, and no bike and no word on when I will be able to get it back.

I am not writing this review and telling people not to visit Star City, I am writing to let people know how I've been treated by them, It's your dollar, you spend it where you want. I will write/update this review and let people know how this turns out.

I wish I never walked through the doors of Star City, they said "yes we check used bikes before we sell them" "I will call you back and let you know" but they don't. I will bring the scooter back for service as I am have an almost 2 grand 3 year service contract, but trust me, that will be the ONLY reason I will be back, sorry Cody, there will be no repeat business from me!

7/1/2012 UPDATE - Star City Motor Sport calls, Mike said they've read my review, and the guess that there is no way to make me happy, and if I wanted, I could pick up my scooter and take it somewhere else (of coure they did not offer to refund the close to $2,000.00 service contract). I gave them several ways that they could improve their service (ie, offer to buy my scooter back, or ask me to come pick out a different scooter and trade up or down), his answer "oh, we can't do that". Then Mike insisted that there was no way to make me happy and that they guess that they would see me some time in Aug. So I ask you, just what is "VIP service"?

Yes, I am frustrated, but the reply from the owner is the FIRST commuication from him, when I asked if the scooter could return to Star City and a credit given, it was not even run by the owner, just a "no, we can't do that" did the service manager offer to present to the owner?? Does the service manager have that much say in what happens in your business? Over a month and a half before I get the scooter back? You complained that others would not come and discuss the problem, I did, and I get the same respones as those who did not. I know that satotors can be rebuilt, I know that there should have been a "Mr Brooks, this is the owner, we value you as a customer, please come and chat with me" NO, just let others say "we do not value you as a customer after we have your cash" The owner not the GM has EVER contacted me. Again, this is poor customer service at best. Are you really implying that you do not buy used bikes????

Well up till now it would have been a 5*, but I've had my bike a week now and, I told them when I purchased the bike that my hip has problems, they knew it was my first bike,every time I ride when I get home I have to take pain killers and a muscle relaxer for my hip. So I asked what we could do and there isn't a lot, so now I'm stuck paying for something I can't use. Avoid this place.
