Don't really care about the pool. The weather is obviously great though. CMU has a jacuzzi. Stanford needs a jacuzzi for the winters.

Best pool on campus for recreational exercise swimming. I recommend mornings. Avoid weekends. It's so nice to swim under the open sky!
Relatively cheaper option for rock climbing. A day pass also includes weight lifting gym + indoor bball courts + olympic sized lap pool. Day pass tickets are 10$ but you need to know a Stanford student to purchase some. I was able to buy 10 tickets for $90 at one point. They also had a $170 for 20 tickets deal.
Flat edged plates do not allow for the performance of many important lifts. People who know how to lift don't purchase this kind of plate. No knurling on bars. Lots of people doing absurd things in squat racks. Like an LA fitness basically.
Great place!
Free for Stanford affiliates (you just need to scan your student id card), also it's possible to bring a friend or a relative (10$ per person I believe). They have lockers (no extra charge), showers, great swimming pool (could be larger though), and awesome gym with lots of equipment. I do like it!!
Fully equipped with the latest equipment, and it has lots of machines. Big, roomy, and clean.
The outdoor pool is great in warm weather. It's also open to families in the weekend.
Stanford affiliates can buy one-day passes for guests -- about $7 per pass, I think.
Waste of time, I called before coming here I was told it cost 10dollars I asked specifically did I have be a member or any type requirement. I was told no you dont have to. I came here went to the front desk that look he gave me(most black people understand) when someone non-black looks at you, [the guy at the front desk said i had to purchase a pass i said sure no problem, he then tells me] I have to know someone in order to purchase a pass and wouldn't sell me it..if that was the case he should have told me over the phone

Honestly, not a great gym compared with other collegiate recreational facilities. Seems perpetually damp and stuffy in the weights/cardio area.
It's a last resort area if you've got no money and nowhere else to go. Does the job though.
Awesome pool. Very good gym facility. Locker rooms could be cleaned more frequently. Lockers have free enter your own code locks but often many are broken. I believe this is only open to Stanford community and their guests.
Friendly staff! I love working out here. There are also dance rooms and study rooms. It's spacious and clean. It closes really late which I love.
One of the best pools in the Bay, open and heated year round. Full size gym with basketball courts and rock climbing wall.
A very nice and clean facility. Well equipped, well maintained. People are fairly courteous, and respectful. Shower arrangement is minimum. You are better off bringing your own shower gel. And no towel service. Lockers are big and plentiful, remember to bring your own lock.
The salt water pool is great but often crowded. The bathrooms are rather dirty, though.
They basically don't air condition this gym, so it gets incredibly, *disgustingly* hot every day around 5pm. I regularly have to stop workouts because it's so freaking hot. Disgusting.
Clean facility for swimming, but not that convenient for changing your clothes. You must prepare your towel and some bags. In addition, there's only a vending machines inside the building.
Lots of exercise equipment and very convenient hours.
Great gym, plenty of cardio machines and free weights. Locker space gets crowded early during the school year.
The best outdoor pool I have ever swam in with modern filtration and wave reduction. Sloped grass bank to relax on. Access is restricted to Stanford students, staff and alumnus.
Great climbing wall, lots of lifting racks. Downside are flat edge plates
Good gym. Well-lit with well-maintained equipment. Disappointing lack of Olympic platforms, though. Avoid peak hours,
if you don t want to wait for the racks.
The only gym on campus with a legitimate punching bag.
There's always room on the machines and benches.
Excellent facility, nice gym, pool, climbing wall and courts. Only con is miserable Stanford parking requirement$$
Great gym with plenty of machines and an excellent outdoor pool and indoor climbing wall. The showers/bathrooms are a little subpar but other than that a great gym
The sportsman s dream. Everything you need to get fit. Swimming pools are great. The place is clean with top-notch equipment.
All I could think about while working out was how much of a genius Alex Hirsch was with the character name "Stanford Pines"
The gym is very well equipped with professional instruments including cardio, weights, etc. Free entrance for Stanford affiliates and their dependents.
Great new gym on campus with modern amenities and equipment.
The pool is to die for. Locker rooms are big and modern. Facility is beautiful!
Love their group fitness classes! They have AWESOME instructors who have really pushed me and helped me get into shape!
If you can get into this gym, you are an extremely lucky person
Nice facilities, convenient hours for nocturnal students
